From GPW:
June 9, 2018, will go down in history at Georgia Premier Wrestling as a night of endings, and new beginnings. 232 fans packed the Georgia Premier Wrestling(GPW) arena for “Caged Chaos II”, and they were rowdy!
“Palehorse” Josey Quinn def. Elijah Evans IV. Quinn and Evans set the bar high for the rest of the night, in terms of expectations. They delivered a hard-hitting match which saw Quinn continue his undefeated streak at GPW when he hit the “Final Chapter” on Evans. Quinn is truly a standout in Georgia Premier Wrestling.
Danni Jordyn def. “Voodoo Witch” Nina Monet. The “Voodoo Witch” made her way to GPW and attempted to cast a spell over her opponent Danni Jordyn. Jordyn was having none of it, as she came out on fire. This match delivered, and the fans were excited to get behind Jordyn. Jordyn thwarted Monet’s attempt at a pin and caught her with a spinning flatliner to pick up the victory!
The third match was supposed to be for the GPW Tag-Team Championship. Logan Chase III and Cyrus made their way to the ring, minus Magnum the Eliminator. Logan explained that Magnum had been arrested by crooked law enforcement, and therefore, Mass Destruction was unable to defend against the Good Ol’ Boys. Darryl Morris, co-owner, came in and explained that Mass Destruction’s 30 day compete clause was up tonight, and if they didn’t defend the belts, he would strip them of the Tag-Team Championship. Logan and Cyrus huddled together and hesitantly agreed for Cyrus to defend the titles alone.
Good Ol’ Boys def. Cyrus the Destroyer via count out. Cyrus battled the Good Ol’ Boys throughout the match, however, the numbers soon overcame him. He and Logan retreated taking the count out. Even though the Good Ol’ Boys won, Mass Destruction is still the champions as the titles do not change hands on a count-out. Morris stated that the Good Ol’ Boys would get a fair rematch on a later date and there would be no count outs.
Shane Daniels def. Joey Sparks. These two men have battled each other from Tennessee to Georgia. Daniels is a big man, but he is agile and hard-hitting. Sparks, a former GPW Southern States Champion, holds a special place in the GPW fan’s heart. Daniels picks up the victory with a roaring elbow.
During intermission, fans mingled amongst the stars of GPW. As fans were speaking to their favorite stars of GPW, and our special guest Bambi, they were suddenly interrupted by a disturbance from Logan Chase III berating Cody Vance. Logan threw Cody’s pictures to the floor causing Cody to become upset and grab him. QT Marshall hit Cody from behind and they battled to the ring. They were broken up, and Darryl Grissom made the match for later tonight and stated that QT would put the Southern States Championship on the line.
Shane Marx (w/Dewitt Dawson) def. Talon Williams and Chip Hazzard (w/ Gabe Walters).
This triple threat match put the Movement in the ring as opponents against Shane Marx. Although they were technically opponents, the Movement was working together like a well-oiled machine. That is until a miscommunication occurred that caused some friction in who would get the pinfall as they had Shane down. The end came when Talon and Chip were engaged in a heated conversation and Shane rolled Talon up. Fans were left in shock when, after the three count, Chip Hazzard turned on Talon and beat him down. Walters and Hazzard explained that Talon had “gone soft” and the Movement had once been a dominant team. Walters explained that he was there to guide the “Movement” known as Chip Hazzard.
Cody Vance def. QT Marshall via DQ when Logan Chase hit Cody with the tennis racket.
Vance came for vengeance on Marshall and Chase through this match. The match gave fans a new side of Vance, a more dominant side. The end came when Vance hit his spear to attempt to finish off Marshall only to have Chase jump in and crack Vance over the head with the racket, causing a disqualification. Chase then put the Milano’s (his pink shoes) to Vance as Marshall recovered. Marshall and Chase then targeted Vance’s knee using the ring post and racket in an attempt to decimate Vance’s knee. Chase and Marshall smiled and held the title high as Chase yelled that Vance was “not worthy”.
It was now time for the main event. Torque and Brandon Collins have battled the past three months for the Cruiserweight Championship. Their battles have seen Collins fleeing, using chairs and cheating to pick up victories over Torque. Tonight, they would end their feud in “Caged Chaos”. Gil Quest was the Special Referee.
Torque def. Brandon Collins to become the new GPW Cruiserweight Champion. These men literally tore the house down. The hatred these men have for one another could not be contained in just the cage. They battled back and forth, countered several of their opponent’s moves, and thwarted escape attempts on each other. They know each other well! The crowd was left in awe by the ariel maneuvers Torque and Collins performed, as well as the pure wrestling they performed in this match. Although Quest was hit in the eyes, he did as he promised and called the match down the middle. The end came when Torque hit a brainbuster on Collins. Torque finally overcame the odds and secured his place as the GPW Cruiserweight Champion. Torque and Quest celebrated, and Torque thanked Quest for being there for him. Quest shook Torques hand and then took his head off. Quest left the crowd in anger and he beat Torque down yelling “I did what I said I was going to do, but now it’s my time”.
Georgia Premier Wrestling returns on June 23rd, at the GPW arena. Already signed is Vary Morales vs. Nate Wilde in a “First Blood Match”, Logan and Brooklyn Creed take on Cyrus the Destroyer and Logan Chase III in mixed tag grudge match stemming from “Monsters of Wrestling”, Holidead returns to GPW as she takes on Dementia DeRose. Also—what will Torque’s response be to Gil’s betrayal? All this and more coming on June 23rd.
