From Myron Fancher:
It was a very comfortable night that felt like Fall at the Landmark Arena. But this didn’t stop it from getting hot quick in the ring. After it was announced that Matt Hankins had been barred from entering the arena this evening, the Undeniable hit the ring, all carrying belts. Marx and Blaze with the tag belts, Brooklyn Creed with the women’s title and Stryknyn with the TV title.
Marx started a promo taunting the fans, but Stryknyn was the one they really wanted to hear from. When he joined the Undeniable at the last show, many were confused, but tonight they got their explanation. Stryk told the fans that while they always appreciated him, the guys in the back didn’t. He said the other wrestlers were threatened by him and the promoters didn’t know what to do with a painted freak and took advantage of him. But Matt Hankins had come to him and asked him why he let people take advantage of him. He said the days of people taking advantage of him were over and invited Azrael to join him. Azrael joined him in the ring and Stryknyn slapped him leading to a beatdown by the Undeniable. Stryknyn invites him to join him again, saying he understands him, but then DDT’s him onto a chair. Referees come out and the Undeniable leave.(a bodybag match between Stryknyn and Azrael was announced for the Oct. 12 show)
Triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for the Anarchy Heritage title: Ashton Starr vs. CB Suave vs. Tyler Rivera
This was an entertaining match with lots of offense from all 3 competitors. It was packed with high flying, reversals and high impact spots. All three of these wrestlers are liked by the fans and they did not disappoint. Suave pinned Starr for the win.
CT Keys vs. Ben Buchanan
Both guys look like stars. This was a very heavy hitting match.Buchanan has all the tools to go far in wrestling and is over big with the fans. I was impressed with the versatility of his moveset. He used a submission hold, a high flying drop kick and a series of suplexes that led to the win for him. He was complimented well by the skill and heel work of Keys.
Tag Team Title Rematch: The Undeniable (c) vs. The Washington Bullets
Right before the match started, Bill Behrens comes out and announces that he is putting the disqualification stipulation that had caused the Bullets to lose the belts on this match too as it was only fair to do so. Things got started quick with lots of action before the bell could ring. Back and forth with the Bullets quick work and the Undeniable drawing heat kept it entertaining. When the Undeniable tried to leave, they were met by Will Huckaby(still wearing an eye patch from his previous injury) at the entrance. He forced them to go back to the ring. It looked like the berating he had received from Hankins at the last show had made him quit the team. When the Bullets had a pin on Blaze, Huck hit the ring and stopped Marx from breaking it up. This led to the Bullets losing by disqualification again. I was as confused as the Washington Bullets until Matt Hankins came on the big screen dancing. He may have been banned from the Arena, but he was watching from home and orchestrating his plan. He thanked Huckaby for being a good soldier, revealing last show had been a ruse and rewarded him with a match against Marcus Kross tonight. After he went off, it was announced that there would be a 2 out of 3 falls rematch at the next show.
#1 Contender match for the Anarchy Heavyweight Championship
Cyrus vs. Griff Garrison was the announced match, but after they got in the ring, Geter’s music hit and he came out. Geter said that this match wasn’t happening because they didn’t deserve it and it was going to be a triple threat. He was interrupted by Behrens who made the match, but made it where count outs or disqualifications count as an elimination and called out an extra ref to handle count outs.
This was a virtual David vs. 2 Goliaths match. The giants would brawl and Garrison would get in some offense, but get tossed aside. Garrison did manage to get both of the big men out of the ring. Cyrus and Geter fought on the outside and this led to a double count out that made Garrison the winner and #1 contender. The big men started fighting again and it took the whole locker room coming out(including Bull Buchanan) to break it up. They face each other at the next show in what should be a spectacle to see.
Anarchy Women’s Title match: Sara Dox vs. Brooklyn Creed (c)
Brooklyn has taken well to the role of a heel and the crowd hates her. She seemed disinterested in having the match and tried to leave. Dox caught her and drug her back to the ring. This led to a slow paced match where the fans, despite their hatred of Creed, did not get behind Dox. Brooklyn toyed with Dox and then got the pin. Matt Hankins came on screen again from his desk at home. He cut another fantastic promo while Brooklyn put her foot on the throat of Dox. Afterwards Creed calls out Crystal Rose who hit the ring with a kendo stick. Brooklyn threatened her with jail if she hit her and she backed down.
William Huckaby vs. Marcus Kross
This was a match of power versus speed. Kross would get in a flurry of kicks and strikes only to receive a beating from Huck. This was a good match that showcased both men well. After taking a thrashing at the hands of Huckaby, Kross managed a pin and 3 count in a blur of movement. Hankins joins us again(I really loved these videos.) Hankins as the evil genius at his lovely home infuriated the fans. He challenged Kross to an Undeniable Streetfight at the next show and Kross accepted, I don’t know what an Undeniable Streetfight is, but I really want to.
Heritage Title match: Adrian Hawkins(c) vs. Will Kaution
There’s nothing like an Anarchy crowd and Hawkins whipped them into a frenzy. He went into delaying the match and slipping out of the ring as usual and they hated it. When it started, he used his experience and skill to stifle Kaution’s electric offense. This match flowed very well and I enjoyed it. Hawkins exposed a top turnbuckle that would play a role later in the match. Kaution hit a big move that led to a pin that Hawkins kicked out of 3 times in a row. This got the fans going nuts and beating on the barricades. Hawkins then threw Kaution into the exposed turnbuckle, hit his finisher and got the pin that sent the crowd home angry.
Paid attendance was 88. Anarchy seems to be poised to return to greatness. The angles are all hot, the heels are hated and the faces are loved. The crowd was intense and extremely loud. I see fall being very good to them and crowds increasing.
