From Rob Brodhecker:
I don't often make the trip over the state line. Still, when I do, it's for a stacked card that Piedmont is putting on, highlighted by Trever Aeon defending the ProSouth All-Out championship vs. the always dangerous Joe Black. Black is making waves in several promotions in Georgia, and Aeon just returned from a trip to Japan. YouTube Champion Robi Vio will defend against Alister Crowe and Erron Wade. There will be three qualifier matches for the Black Friday Fatal Four Way, and a tag team match is also scheduled for tonight. ProSouth streams live on YouTube/ProSouth Wrestling. The show is up and ready to view.
I counted the crowd at Pro South Arena and got 36.
Faith Dorn is on video commentary along with Vamp. Noah Howell is your ring announcer.
Fatal Four Way Qualifying match. William Huckaby vs. Dawson Kimbrell
The females in the crowd popped big for Kimbrell. And since they outnumber the males in the group 3 to 1, they are pretty loud. Huck just crushed Dawson's chest with a chop the reverbed around the building. Dawson tries to comeback but got an eye poked for his troubles. A sleeper gets locked in by Huck. The action spills to the outside, and both men almost get counted out. Man, Huck's chops are brutal. Dawson reverses a pop-up move by Huck into a DDT for the comeback. They are trading blows in the middle of the ring, not the best idea by Dawson. Huck pounds on Dawson some more, but Dawson ducks a punch and is able to roll-up Huck with a crucifix tie-up at 9:10. Huck looks stunned. The ladies in the crowd just loved them some Kimbrell, B+.
Fatal Four Way Qualifying Match: Ben Buchanan vs. Charles Zanders
The ladies popped even more for Ben than Dawson, I believe. Charles offers Ben money to lay down, Ben refuses. Charles attacks Ben at the bell, but a lariat from Ben stops that. Ben does his version of the three amigos but using gut wrench suplexes, that's impressive. He lowers his head, and Charles piledrives him for a near fall. Charles is being extra vicious tonight. Charles gets frustrated by not being able to put Ben away, and he grabs a chair from ringside. That gives Ben enough time to start his comeback to include a springboard lariat from the top turnbuckle for a near fall. That was really impressive. Ben's tossing Charles around like a bunch of bad habits. A couple of thumbs to the eyes of Ben stops the comeback. Charles tries to use the chair, but the ref grabs it and throws it out of the ring. Charles hits Ben in the head with an object pulled from the trunks and pins Ben at 6:57. Ben was very impressive in the loss, B.
YouTube Championship: Erron Wade vs. Alister Crowe (with Mathais Darkthorne) vs. Robi Vio(c) (with Amy Haven)
Wade has an MMA fighter gimmick, he's making his ProSouth Debut. Darkthorne says that the Left-Hand Path has been collecting championships at ProSouth, including the All-Out Champion and the ProSouth championship. And that they will be receiving the YouTube championship tonight. Vio goes for Wade off the bell. Wade throws him off into Crowe for a facebuster. Crowe ties up Wade with a tarantula, but Vio kicks Crowe in the face. Wade gets mist sprayed into his face. Crowe gets the mandible claw in on Vio, but Vio is able to flip out of it. Vio rolls up the still dazed Wade for the win at 4:55. C+.
Adam Warski, the former ref and now the evil YouTube moderator, comes out dressed up. He wants Vio and his partner, Caden Ooten, to put the tag titles up in a triple threat elimination match. Vio agrees, and the next match is set.
The High Life( Justin Hail and Mike Feska) vs. The Constellation (Lights Cameron Action and Ehern Black) vs. Robi Vio(c) and Caden Ooten(c) in an elimination match for the ProSouth tag titles
The High Life has the stoner gimmick going. LCA throws Sterling under the bus and says that nobody owns them. Ooten wasn't happy with Vio for accepting the match. High Life and Constellation have been working most of the match, Vio or Ooten have not been in yet. Vio tags in and takes some heat. Tower of Doom spot with all 6 men. The match breaks down from there. The High Life gets eliminated at 13:10. Zanders rushes in and takes out Vio, leaving Ooten on his own. He gets pinned at 14:29. The Constellation is your new ProSouth Tag Champions. C+.
Ooten is frustrated after the loss and attacks Vio and plants him with a DDT. ProSouth officials come out to try to separate a pissed off Ooten from Vio, but the damage has been done.
-- Intermission --
Howell introduces the new ProSouth champion, Eric "The Ghost" Silva. Silva and Darkthorne make their way to the ring. Howell gives a brief rundown on Silva's year and asks him how he feels. Silva says that the hunter has now become the hunted. Whoever wins the Fatal Four-way better be prepared to walk the path.
Fatal Four Way Qualifying match: Dameon Ceretone vs. Jaden Newman
Ceretone blows off Newman's offer of a handshake. Ceretone seems to be very non-pulsed by Newman. The crowd can't make up their mind on Newman, he's getting boos and cheers despite the heel antics of Ceretone. They are fighting on the top turnbuckle, and Newman turns it into a superplex. Ceretone wins the match at 15:20 with a jumping DDT, B-.
ProSouth All-Out Championship: Joe Black vs. Trever Aeon(c) (with Matthias Darkthorne) in a no DQ match
Blackthorne cuts a promo putting Black over. The crowd loves the big bat, Aeon. Some excellent back and forth happening here with some added nuances that if you watch the video, you would be impressed with it. The action spills outside of the ring, where Aeon sits Black down on and chair and delivers a running elbow. Aeon then places the chair back in its place in the crowd, funny to me. Black attacks upon re-entering the ring. I love the annoyed look on Black's face when the crowd is chanting Trever. This has been a very even match thus far, neither man can put the other away. Dueling strikes and headbutts abound. William Huckaby comes out and attacks Black, giving him a spinebuster. Trever takes advantage and pins Black at 18:47. This match lived up to and exceeded my expectations, A.
Huck sneaks back in and takes out Aeon as well. He calls for a mic. Apparently, the mic got scared and fainted. Huck is screaming at Joe that where ever Joe goes, Joe can't run from him. Huck lays into Aeon about how Aeon was rubbing the fact that he went to Japan. He says that he will be respected here and everywhere else. Good stuff from Huck. He leaves, and the crowd gives Black and Aeon love, and Black and Aeon hug.
ProSouth went for it tonight and for the most part, succeeded. Joe Black and William Huckaby's feud has extended across state lines. The fourth qualifying match will happen on 11/15. The Fatal Fourway match itself will be on 11/29, the winner of which will face Eric Silva for the ProSouth Championship on 12/20. Darkthorne did some good work on the microphone.
