From Anarchy Wrestling:
With the 22nd annual Hardcore Hell looming on the horizon, Anarchy Wrestling packed the Landmark Arena with 185 heatseeking fans along for the ride on the Highway to Hell. Just two weeks removed from the thrilling conclusion of the Bunkhouse Rumble, that saw Billy Buck earn an opportunity to face Anarchy Heavyweight champion Griff Garrison, every competitor on the Anarchy roster was looking to make moves and get noticed to find themselves on the Hardcore Hell event April 11th from the Landmark Arena and live on FITE Tv PPV.
Josh Wolverton defeated Tommy Penirelli (with La Familia)
Before Tommy Penirelli was introduced, Josh Wolverton called out his partner, Tyler Rivera, and demanded answers for Rivera’s recent behavior toward Wolverton and Will Kaution. Rivera came out to a mixed reaction from fans not sure what they were going to see. Rivera grabbed a microphone and after several very tense moments of silence, dropped the microphone and left the ring. Penirelli entered the ring being flanked by La Familia; Gino Argento, Valentina Ricci, and Tony Carbone aka Fat-T. The crowd’s chants of USA infuriated the Italian-American Bad Boy, and he took it out on Wolverton. After several moments of back and forth action Wolverton would gain a roll-up victory after a failed attempt at interference by members of La Familia.
Two weeks ago, Spi-Ral made his Anarchy debut in an impressive showing against another debuting competitor in Joshua O’Hagan. This week it would be against another one of the young lions in Anarchy, Shean Christopher. Christopher was accompanied by Hunter Drake and Kevin Ryan. Spi-Ral, known as the Bosnian WarChild, continued his impressive ways taking an early advantage over Christopher. Christopher would fight back, but he was no match for the awe-inspiring offense of Spi-Ral as he would hit the Black Cloud Splash for the victory.
Stryknyn came out to call out Azrael. Instead he would get Hoax and Mr. Skinz making their first appearance in Anarchy. A very angry and confused Stryknyn took his frustrations out on the two odd party lovers. He strapped Mr. Skinz to the bottom rope with a belt and left the ring momentarily only to return with a full gas can and a lighter. It was very apparent that Stryknyn had intentions of sending Skinz up in flames, but soon referees and security would intervene and stop and further damage from happening.
Nina Monet defeated Crystal Rose to win the Anarchy Women’s Championship
This match got under way very early with Nina Monet gaining an early advantage by attacking Rose from behind at the entrance way. The two women fought all over the arena floor. Once back in the ring Monet took advantage of the earlier attack and had Rose on the ropes. Just as Crystal Rose was gaining the upperhand, former Anarchy Women’s Champion, Brooklyn Creed came to ringside and Matt Hankins, who was conspicuous by his absence in the early going was in tow. It seemed as if Hankins was shocked Creed was there, but she would not even so much as look at Hankins. Instead, Creed’s eyes locked on Rose and the two women had an intense stare down with Creed on the apron. Monet took advantage of the distraction and pushed Rose into Creed sending Brooklyn crashing to the floor and Rose into the waiting arms of Monet. After the roll-up Monet stole the victory and the Women’s Championship.
While on the surface this seemed to be a well thought out plan by Hankins, the reaction from Brooklyn Creed told a different story. Rose then challenged Creed and Monet to a tag match at the next event on February 8th.
Adrian Hawkins defeated Dynamic Dexter to retain the Landmark Arena Heritage Championship
Dexter won this opportunity two weeks ago by defeating Hawkins in a match where the stipulation stated if Dexter could be Hawkins in less than 5 minutes or last 5 minutes with Hawkins he would get a shot at the Heritage title. Dexter did just that and then some when he surprised the champion in less than 5 seconds. This would not be the case in this match-up as Dexter would have to face a focused and angry Heritage champion. Hawkins kept shouting at Dexter that he did not belong in this ring. The champion’s insults and disrespect would not deter Dexter. Instead Dexter would hold his own against Hawkins and several times seemed to be on his way to another upset. However, Hawkins would soon take advantage of the match. At one-point, Landmark Hall of Fame inductee, Todd Sexton’s music played and distracted Hawkins. Dexter used this momentary lapse in judgement to again ascend to the top rope. When Hawkins turned around it was déjà vu all over again as Dexter caught him with a crossbody. However, it would not lead to a new champion this time as Hawkins kicked out and hit the No Approval Needed for the victory.
Hawkins' celebration would be short-lived as a video appeared on the screen. It was revealed at our next event, Kyle Matthews would return to the Landmark Arena to challenge Hawkins for the Heritage championship. It should be noted that Kyle Matthews was the first Landmark Arena Heritage Champion.
MCM defeated Scott Mayson
MCM made his debut at December to Remember as part of the pre-show. Since that debut he has had impressive in ring showings, despite not picking up a victory. Mayson at our last event told CT Keyes he didn’t need his help anymore that he was going to do it alone in 2020. MCM came roaring out the gates but would soon fall prey to the experience of Mayson. As Mayson seemed well on his way to victory, he was distracted by Keyes. This led to MCM being able to hit a big knee to gain the pinfall over Mayson.
Anarchy TV Title Match: Geter vs. Marcus Kross (c) ended in a no contest
The battle for the Television Championship never really got started as Will Huckaby hit the ring and attacked Geter. He choked out the massive Geter with a sleeperhold outside the ring. When Kross tried to intervene, he was met with the same fate and was choked out by The Incredible Huck as well. Hankins then laid out a challenge to Geter at the February 8th event in a loser leaves Anarchy match.
The Undeniable (Shane Marx & Brian Blaze with Matt Hankins) defeated Kevin Ryan & Hunter Drake
Hankins stayed out after the carnage from the previous match and introduced his Anarchy Tag Team Champions. They would face Hunter Drake and Kevin Ryan in this non-title match. Drake and Ryan were game competitors and even seemed to have the champions rocking and reeling at times, but in the end the blend of brute strength and skill would prove too much for the youngsters as The Undeniable would gain the victory.
Billy Buck (with Matt Hankins) defeated Will Kaution
To begin the match Matt Hankins forced ring announcer Jason Boyd to do championship introductions, despite the fact that there was neither a champion or championship in the match-up, only the stolen gold from the rightful champion Griff Garrison that is currently in the possession of Buck and Hankins. Before the introductions were finished, Buck grabbed the belt from referee David Weakley and hit Kaution with it. Buck would then open up with an offensive flurry on Kaution. Valiantly, Kaution would battle back and these two men picked up right where the ending of the Bunkhouse Rumble left off. It was a vicious back and forth match up with both men gaining near falls. Kaution saw the grasp of victory slip from his finger tips as Buc would hit the Buck Shot and pick up a victory. As Buck was celebrating the victory, the lights would go off and when they came back on, Garrsion was in the ring and went after Buck. Garrison would gain possession of his championship, but that was thwarted when Blaze and Marx charged the ring. This would bring out Kross who helped clear the ring. Garrison grabbed the microphone and talked about how he has won the Anarchy championship twice and neither time has he been able to leave the Arena with the physical belt. He made a tag team challenge to Buck and the other members of the Undeniable for the February 8th event.
