No Limits Championship: Jason Collins w. Johnny Viper vs. Paul Manson (c)
Collins kicks Manson in the head while coming around the corner of the ring while he was playing to the crowd. Collins dominates this match, manhandling Mason and takes the three count win in less than 3 minutes. Your new RCW No Limits Champion is Jason Collins. The match was really short but it got it's point across. B-
The announcer tells everyone that Mike Clay cannot wrestle due to injury but they are working on other options
Robert Starr vs. Dorian Crowe
I really like this kid, Dorian Crowe. He is high energy. They start out with a test of strength. Crowe takes control first. Starr grabs the ropes and backs off of him. Dorian hits a couple of dropkicks and lands a 619. Dorian hits a falcon arrow on Starr from the top turnbuckle and scores the pinfall. B
They bring The Movement out and reiterate that Clay is unable to wrestle due to injury. Chris Ganz comes out interrupting and says that he told you guys that his belt was being made. He had it too! A brand new, RCW Cruiserweight Title. Keep in mind, Game is not a cruiserweight God I love this gimmick! He said that he wouldn't mind having another belt, though. He introduces the "second best cruiserweight in the company," Lamar Phillips, weighing at least 240lbs himself, as his partner that's coming after the tag titles.
RCW Tag Title Championship Match: The Movement (c) vs. Chris Ganz and Lamar Phillips
Ganz and Phillips enter the ring and demand that The Movement with on his scale because they don't wrestle fat guys. The Movement tell them they are fat guys. Ganz and Phillips then go on the attack but the Movement fight right back. We have The Movement in full face turn, playing up to the crowd. And Ganz and Phillips are doing every single heel/cheater spot but not making it look old. There is a lot of tough, good looking moves between both sides. The Movement gets in a couple of double team spots that they are so good at and pick up the pinfall victory to retain their titles. B+
Erron Wade vs. Brent Banner
Wade comes out and misses a flip over the top rope and lands on his butt. He plays it off well though and continues to do good showboat entrance. Banner and Wade appear to be pretty evenly matched in size. Banner is frustrating Wade with several arm drag takedowns in a row A few of the spots are looking a little sloppy. I'm thinking maybe missing that flip earlier might have Wade off. Wade gets control of the match and has turned on the crowd, yelling at them. Wade knocks Banner to the outside and executes a suicide dive to the outside. Banner almost doesn't make the ten count to get back in. This frustrates Wade even more so he charges at Banner who knocks him to the mat with a kick. Banner climbs to the top turnbuckle and comes off with a frogsplash and a three count victory. Match just felt a little sloppy. I was expecting more out of these two honestly. I've seen both of them do better, but we all can have an off night. C
Intermission
Charles Allen vs. Deon Mercer
Mercer comes in the ring and drops to his knees with his hands behind his head as if he is being arrested whole the ref checks him. Sometimes it is the small things workers do to catch your attention the most. Mercer gives a hard chop in the corner. Allen whips Mercer hard into the turnbuckle. Mercer's momentum carries him over the top rope landing hard outside on the concrete. Allen brings Mercer back in but loses control back to him quickly. The ref gets knocked out. Allen delivers a low blow but the ref can't make the count. While Allen is trying to wake the ref, Mercer recovers and catches Allen with two superkicks. Mercer rolls him up but Allen's foot catches the rope to break the pin. Mercer pulls him to the middle of the ring and applies what looks like a rear naked choke like submission. Allen taps and Mercer walls away with a victory. Mercer looks improved from the last couple of times that I have seen him. B-
Ladder Match for the vacant RCW Heavyweight Championship: Johnny Viper vs. John Bishop
Viper comes out to plenty of boos from the crowd. But he does have what appears to be some sharp-looking, new wrestling gear on. Bishop comes out on a crutch from the damage done by Cyrus and Viper. He gets the crowd fired up as he's walking out to the ring. As soon as he is inside, Viper is on him hard and fast. Viper is immediately going to work on Bishop's hurt ankle, ripping at his boot to expose any possible protection. Hey, if he can't climb a ladder, then he can't win. Bishop finally gets a window and whips Viper into a ladder leaning in a corner of the ring. Bishop picks up the ladder and tosses it at Viper, hitting his arm. Viper clips the leg and has advantage again. While Bishop is down, Viper pulls another ladder from under the ring and bridges it between the ropes and the other ladder. He lays Bishop on the ladder and goes to the top turnbuckle and attempts a flying elbow, but connects with nothing but metal as Bishop moves out of the way. Bishop grabs his crutch out of the corner and starts using it to wail on Viper. Again Viper attacks the leg. He pulls Bishop to the corner of the room and rams Bishop's ankle against the past several times. Bishop falls to the floor on the outside. Viper goes back in and gets one of the ladders. He comes around the corner to take out Bishop but he's ready for him. Bishop brings the crutch down across Viper's hands causing him to drop the ladder. Bishop gives several shots with the crutch to Viper until he is down. Bishop places the ladder on top of Viper and stomps it. Bishop gets into the ring and sets up the ladder as he begins to climb, Viper dropkicks the ladder, causing Bishop to fall and hurt his ankle again. Viper capitalizes working on the ankle again. He puts Bishop's ankle in-between a ladder and is slamming a steel chair down onto it. Bishop is selling the hell out of it. Both men have taken some damage and it's wearing on them. Bishop manages to pick Viper up and slams him down onto a ladder laying flat in the ring. Bishop places another ladder on top of Viper. Bishop runs and does a big splash onto the Viper sandwich. Bishop whips Viper into the ropes for a big spinebuster. Viper rolls to the outside. Bishop sets up the ladder and is about to climb when the new No Limits Champion, Jason Collins comes out to attack him. Bishop sidesteps and grabs Collins in a double underhook DDT. Collins rolls out. Bishop finally starts to climb the ladder. Out comes the once retired member of the Illuminati, Jason Collins' brother, Brandon. He powerbombs Bishop off of the ladder. In the meantime, Jason had been helping Viper up. While Brandon stays on Bishop, Jason holds the ladder as Viper climbs up to claim the belt and the title of new RCW Heavyweight Champion. Great match with a lot of good, believable spots. Both guys came out looking really good in my opinion. A
After the match all the begin attacking Bishop. Every face in the place began running out one at a time. Brent Banner came down; took a superkick. Dorian Crowe came down; took a superkick. Jason Collins showed the audience l and stated that those aren't wrestling boots boys, those are cowboy boots. Deon Mercer came down; got superkicked. Josh Vaughn came down; got superkicked. Big Red Adams came down... stopped before he got to the ring, looked at all the bodies laying everywhere and said to hell with it. He went back to the back. Ethan Cage came down and get a couple of punches in but was taken out after a shot from the title belt by Viper. The Movement came down and their numbers made a difference and almost stopped the Illuminati but they finally were taken out too. The Illuminati posed to end the show despite the crowd's rampant boos. Looks like it was a night for the Illuminati.
Great show. Great Crowd, even in the cold and rain. Booking and match content again, much better. Next show is February 1st.
