From Rob Brodhecker:
The concept behind Draw to Brawl is that 16 names are picked at random, and every two men form a tag team to face the next two names picked. The winners of those four matches will face off, with two wild card entrants, in a battle royal. The final two men will be declared the winners and will then form a tag team to face the ProSouth Tag champs, William Huckaby and Joe Black, at a future show. There was a video that was made the night before that showed the drawing of the names.
Christian Pierce and "Tricky" Ricky Cagle vs. Dorian Crowe and Alex Kane
The ending started with a botched double suplex attempt by Kane leading to Kane stomping away from the ring with Wicked Nemesis, and Cagle F5'ing Crowe, Peirce shoves Cagle off of Crowe and covers Crowe for the pin. James Hardy and Roma Miller vs. Shane Mako and Ben Buchanan Hardy handles ring announcer duties as well, claims that Mako and Ben are his next victims. Ben is essentially in the ring with three heels. Mako and Ben have good chemistry and take care of Hardy and Miller in about 5 minutes. Miller had abandoned Hardy, Ace Haven comes out and tosses Miller back into the ring, Ben was about to lay waste to Miller, but Mako low blows Ben, so much for teamwork.
Scott Patterson and Geter vs. Brandon Whatley and Lutha X
Lutha mouths off to Geter and pops Geter. Geter pops Lutha back, and Lutha makes the tag to Whatley. Geter monster handles Whatley and Petersson tags himself in. Whatley comes back, and Petterson quickly tags Geter back in. Whatley tags Lutha in, and Geter punishes him for a while. Patterson wants back in, and Lutha quickly establishes control. Geter's back in the ring and Lutha tags in Whatley immediately. Whatley is pounding away on Geter, but one hit from Geter sends Whatley flying. Lutha causes a distraction, and they double team Geter, targeting the knee. Geter gets back onto his feet, and Petterson makes the blind tag, Geter wasn't too happy with that. Whatley plants Petterson, but Lutha tosses Whatley out of the ring and makes the arrogant cover for the win.
Austin Towers blindsides Geter and leads the crowd in counting to ten, in reference to the Last Man Standing match that Towers wants.
Eric "The Ghost" Silva Promo
He calls out Trever Aeon, but Cameron Keast comes out instead. A video promo from Tyler Cullprett plays. Keast attacks after the video end, and the match begins.
"The Tragic Prince" Cameron Keast vs. The ProSouth Champion, Eric "The Ghost" Silva, non-title, I believe.
A good match between the two men. Aeon comes out after a couple of minutes, and with Silva distracted, Keast lays him out with the All Out Title for the DQ. Aeon and Keast beat on Silva until the lights go out, and when they come on, Dameon Ceretone's in the ring, and he goes after Keast. Aeon beats a retreat, and the two groups stare off, and the crowd wants a tag match. Commish Amy comes out and says that the match will happen next week.
--Intermission--
Amy Haven is in the ring, but there is some reverb, it's hard to hear her. It sounds like a women's match is in store for next week, plus the return of Brian Pillman, Jr.
Alister Crowe and Austin Towers vs. Ace Haven (with Amy Haven) and Hold My Beer Hanson
Austin gives his fellow Left-Hand Path member a pep talk and then turns the vitriol up on Geter. He says that Geter will be taking a trip down the left-hand path. Hanson is making his ProSouth debut, and the crowd gets behind him. Crowe and Hanson start and the quickness of Crowe is evident as he gator rolls Hanson. Towers is destroying Hanson, but Ace takes over, and they double team Towers to take him off of his feet. Roma Miller makes an appearance and distracts Ace, who takes a massive kick from Towers that takes Ace out of the ring. Hanson gets leveled by Towers for the pin.
Trever Aeon vs. Jay 2Strong
This is 2Strong's ProSouth debut. Aeon did get some cheers on his entrance. A quick elbow rocks 2Strong. Aeon controls the beginning of the match, 2Stong gets some offense in. A gothplex followed by the scarmaker elbow seals the deal and the win for Aeon.
Draw to Brawl Battle Royal: Christian Pierce, Lutha X, "Tricky" Ricky Cagle, Alister Crowe, Austin Towers, Ben Buchanan, Brandon Whatley, wild card entrant Alex Kane (with Wicked Nemesis), and Shane Mako. Hold My Beer Hanson is the second wild card entrant
The bell rings, but Geter makes his way ringside and cuts a promo on Towers. Geter accepts Towers' challenge from earlier in the night. Towers is focused on Geter and doesn't see all of the other men come up from behind him, and they team up to toss Towers over the top rope.
Kane suplexes everyone. The usual battle royal shenanigans occur, Cagle gets eliminated by Mako and Peirce. Mako eliminates both Kane and Buchanan while they were tied up with each other. Peirce gets eliminated when Robi Vio snatches him over the top rope, and Mako gets eliminated right afterward. Lutha X is gone.
Final 3 are Brandon Whatley, Alister Crowe, and Hold My Beer Hanson. Crowe gets sent flying by Whatley, and the winners of the battle Royal are Hanson and Whatley.
William Huckaby and Joe Black come out and stare off with the winners. Huck and Joe start jawing off at each other until the "Best right hand in Wrestling" comes flying in out of now where and into the jaw of Whatley. Joe and Huck start beating down on Hanson and Whatley, and they pose over the prone bodies to end the show.
Final Thoughts:
1. I came in the first match late, so I missed most of it.
2. Buchanan continues to impress. Little birdies are chirping that a road trip is in his future.
3. Draw to Brawl is an interesting concept; this is not the first time ProSouth has done this, apparently.
4.They still have problems with the sound system; the crowd mics are overriding the announcer and commentary mics.
5. The commentary I could hear between Joe and Shane Noles was good. I liked the whole Shane is Ace's brother banter.
6. "The Best Right Hand in Wrestling" needs to be trademarked and shirts made.
7. No grades tonight, folks. They will be back as soon as what passes for my brain gets back into wrestling mode.
