Renegade Championship Wrestling Break The Mold! report from the RCW Arena in Chatsworth with attendance: 70.
Chris Ganz and Chris Lightning came out to a series of boos, tell everyone about them being the greatest but now it seems that since losing his self created ‘cruiserweight championship’ to Torque, Tag Team Wrestling is going to be their new focus.
-Deon Mercer defeated Chris Ganz via a roll up.
Chris Lightning came into the ring and a 2-on-1 situation began with Deon Mercer in a bad predicament. Torque cane running down and the fight was evened. Ganz and Lightning retreated, but Torque quickly grabbed the microphone and reminded Ganz how he had already beaten him so how about Lightning gets in and gets his fair share too.
-Chris Lightning defeated Torque after using protein powder to gain an advantage by blinding Torque.
Once again,d a 2-on-1 situation unfolded. Out comes Deon Mercer, but instead of helping Torque. He stopped just short of the ring. Gave Torque the finger, Turned his back and let Torque get beaten down and left laying. Will we get an explanation from Deon Mercer?
-Johnny Viper defeated Nate Wilde.
As Johnny was making his way back to the locker room, the familiar music of Wes Blaze hit. He came out, went to the ring and addressed the audience.
Wes told everyone how great it was last month to be apart of War Games defeating the Illuminati and to hear 170 plus fans chanting ‘OMG!’ He said it was planned to be a one night thing, but after feeling that rush, OMG is back full time!
Viper instantly made his way back to the ring to let Wes know that ‘no one cares’, meanwhile, the RCW Arena was chanting OMG once again. Viper explained how his new prophecy was going to lead him to regaining all of the gold in RCW and that he’s already got a good start because he still has the RCW Tag Team Championships.
At this point, Commissioner Josh Jones made his way to the ring and told Viper that actually... The Illuminati hasn’t defended the Championships since July and therefore, they have been stripped and he needs to hand the belts over! This caused Wes Blaze to start laughing and the crowd to explode in joy. Viper, not being able to withstand the embarrassment, started attacking Wes. Wes got control back, went for his signature spine buster but Viper hooked the rope and escaped and left the now vacant Tag Team Championships laying in the center of the ring.
--Intermission--
As soon as we came back from intermission, the Commissioner went to retrieve the tag team championships, but was beaten to the ring by Ganz and Lightning stealing the championships and running out the front door instantly jumping into a car and leaving.
It looks like once again, Ganz and Lightning are going to create their own destiny and just call themselves ‘Champions’.
Unfortunately, Chris Crunk was not able to compete in the No Limits Championship match due to having a car accident so Dorian Crowe issued an Open Challenge.
- RCW No Limits Champion Dorian Crowe defeated the returning Shawn Clark. Clark is such an underrated technical wrestler and a former RCW Heavyweight Champion, so this was a big test for Dorian. Although, Dorian pulled out the win once again!
-Zach Malone defeated Ethan Cage.
Malone and his follower, Charles Allen have shown a more vicious side as of late and it has led to victories and has led to a rivalry between former full time wrestler and part time referee, the man who made a surprise return and overcame all the odds to win the Anniversary Gauntlet match to be crowned ‘Mr. RCW’, Dino Dupree.
After Malone’s match, Dino made his presence felt as he and Allen started brawling all over. Dino had the advantage until Charles reached under the ring and used the sanitizing spray we use on the turnbuckles and ropes to spray Dino directly in the eyes. It is far from over between these two.
Our Main Event was a very important match. In July, a very personal feud between now RCW Heavyweight Champion, Landon Priest (with his manager Logan Chase) and the former champion, CJ Holloway was at its peak, or so we thought. Now that the Illuminati is seemingly no longer a present threat at RCW, Holloway has his sights back on the Championship. In order to earn a shot against Landon, he had to first beat Chase.
-CJ Holloway defeated Logan Chase. After running from CJ, using many tricks and tactics, getting the ref out of the way... there was one result everyone wanted and it’s exactly what they got when CJ got the 1-2-3, counted by our very own Randy Windom.
Renegade returns to Chatsworth on October 10th and 17th. Oct 10th will feature a one night, 4 team tournament for the vacant RCW Tag Team Championships, although Ganz n Lightning have possession of them and a special attraction, Champion vs Champion match up between RCW Heavyweight Champion Priest and RCW No Limits Champion Crowe.
Matches already set for October 17th: Holloway vs Priest for the RCW Heavyweight Championship and Mercer vs Torque,
