Tim Blackmon comes out and says that everyone is sick of
OverKill always trying to take over the show. He then stated that tonight will
be a #1 Contenders match and that David Ali is the New Age Title Holder and he
wont be getting any shot at the IWE Championship as long as he is the owner of
IWE. Ali then asked about Carlie Bravo or Outlandish Zicky Dice. The fan
erupted with Boos of disapproval. Blackmon then said he feels their is one
person that deserves that shot and was cheated out of it and announced that
noone from OverKill would get a shot and said that tonight would be Hammerstone
vs Sean Legacy for the #1 Contender for the IWE Championship. The crowd went
crazy. Ali then told Tim to look him in
the eye, and said, “you think you run this show but we are gonna show you that
you don't and who really runs the show.”
Match 1- Skrilla The Great vs Owen Knight
Referee for match was Mason Pike
I thought this match was amazing. Both Skrilla and Owen had
matching styles that really looked like magic in the ring with the 2 working
each other. I would love to see these guys face each other again because they
really put on a hard hitting match that was left open to possibly seeing these
2 facing each other again. For 2 guys in the Georgia scene that go under the
radar for their own reasons. Owen easily being the most underrated guy in the
state. Skrilla making waves everywhere he goes and really showing why he should
be in the top of the list for Most Improved. Both of them have their own path
and own mission but they will for sure be a challenge when it comes to both men
accomplishing their separate missions.
Match 2- Zicky Dice vs Logan Creed
Referee for match was Danny Meade
Zicky Dice comes to the ring being escorted by the rest of the members of Overkill. They show their power in numbers and are showing that they are keeping to the fact they said that this is OverKills show. Logan comes out and the crowd shows him plenty of love. The match starts with Logan showing he is the one with the true power and muscle putting the immediate attack to Zicky. Logan continues the abuse to Zicky and when Zicky does get a few blows in on Logan they don't appear to have any effect on Logan at all. Zicky finally gets the upper hand when Logan goes to give Zicky a big boot on the apron and Logan's leg gets hung up between the middle and top ropes. While the ref is distracted the members of OverKill begin to use the numbers game. Logan gets back in the ring and shows obvious pain in leg as Zicky continues to target the leg that got hung up. Zicky continues the attack on Logan who is still working the injured leg. Logan finally starts making a comeback and gets Zicky to the outside where he makes a huge dive out on Zicky and the other members of OverKill. Logan gets Zicky back in the ring and looks to put an end to the match, when the members of OverKill jump in and start attacking Logan together. With Logan down, security rushes out and they are abused and thrown out the ring. David Ali takes Big Red and lands several huge shots to Logan before taking the barbed wire bat and digging into the head of Logan. Zicky takes the mic and says let this be a lesson this is our show now. Ali then gives Logan a final shot to the head with the bat before OverKill makes their exit and showed their control and power in IWE.
Results- Logan Creed wins via DQ from Outside interference
This was a hard hitting match with Logan clearly being the
powerful one out of the 2. OverKill has shown that numbers out do power all
day. Logan is a big guy but the pure numbers and talent level of all the
members of OverKill are entirely too much for anyone that they may encounter.
Match 3- Dani Jordyn (c) vs VertVixen for the IWE Women's Championship
Referee of match was Danny Meade
Match 4- Brandon Paradise vs The Scarecrow
Referee for the match was Mason Pike
This was a filler match with some unfamiliar talent from the
Carolinas. The crowd didn't seem to be into either one of them. But they put on
a good match and Scarecrow's gimmick seemed to be one that can go over in other
places and just didn't seem to be one that reached the IWE fans.
***INTERMISSION***
Match 5- David Ali and Carlie Bravo vs AC Mack and Ashton
Starr
Referee for match is Danny Meade
Again like the rest of the night all the members of OverKill come out. They are definitely showing power by numbers like they have all night. Action starts with Ali and Starr. The 2 trade moves with not one of them making a big move on the other before facing each other in the center in a standoff. Bravo hollers for the tag in and says he wants Mack. Ali tags in Bravo and Starr tags in Mack. The 2 go heavy on the exchanges and Mack begins building heavy momentum. Bravo gets on the attack stopping Macks momentum and gets a series of 2 counts in on Mack. Ali gets tagged in and stays on the attack of Mack getting a 2 count of his own. The great team work between Ali and Bravo keep the attack going hard on Mack with both men getting several 2 counts on Mack. everytime Mack tries to put together an attack Bravo and Ali would stop him. Mack finally gets in a big blow on Bravo and both men are down. The fans start pumping up and Mack gets in a hot tag to Starr and Starr rushes in taking out Bravo and Ali with several big blows. Starr gets Ali down and gets in a series of 2 counts. As Star is standing waiting on Ali to get up Mack tags himself in hits Ali with his finisher and pins Ali. the ref gets to 2 and Starr kicks Mack in the back of the head to stop the count. As Mack is getting up Starr is telling him he knows Starr had it. While Starr is confronting Mack, Bravo gets in the ring and grabs Ali pulling him to their corner and tags himself in. Bravo hits Mack with a huge slam and gets the pin for the win. Results- David Ali and Carlie Bravo win via pinfall
Post match Ali and Bravo look on in disbelief pointing at
Ashton. Ashton gets down and goes to console Mack for what just took place
helping him to his feet. As mack turns his back to Starr, Starr lifts him up
and plants him to the mat. The members of OverKill look on in disbelief and
start celebrating. They all hold up their OverKill signals and Starr lifts the
OverKill signal up as well joining the stable and all the members start
celebrating the new member. They then go on the attack of Mack with each member
hitting huge moves on him. They then stand over the beaten Mack and pose
holding the OverKill signals up high.
This match was hard hitting and the surprise
of Ashton Starr joining OverKill gave me a sure sign that this may vary well
have a big chance at being the best faction in the state of Georgia. With the
talent of David Ali, Carlie Bravo, Zicky Dice, Dani Jordyn, and now Ashton
Starr it may be the most stacked faction talent wise in the state as well. They
are already letting their power in number being seen at other promotions in the
state as well and it doesn't look like they plan on stopping until they have
spread their ruthless aggression across all promotions in the state of Georgia.
Referee for the match Mason Pike
Ben Buchanan comes out first brandishing his University of
Alabama Flag which does not go over well at all. By the crowd's reaction it was
known that Ben was in Dawg Country with all the Go Dawgs chants in the
building. Next hits the Join the Dark Order music and Alan Angels gets a huge
cheer from the fans. This match starts off with Ben's size and power being the
difference maker but Angel's speed comes into play and seems to be a total game
changer. Both men exchange momentum back and forth with both getting a series
of 2 counts. Ben starts to really put the attack on Angels. He puts Angels in a
hold that caused the ref to start a 5 count. When Ben wouldn't release the hold
the ref grabbed Ben by the hair pulling him back. Ben and the ref get into a
little shoving match before Ben brings his attention back to Angels. Ben
Remains on the attack and gets a series of big moves and a series of 2 counts.
The crowd starts chanting for Angels he starts building a comeback. Then Ben
grabs Angels and puts an immediate stop to any offence Angels has attempted.
Finally Angels gets in a good series of moves with some moonsaults followed up
by a huge frog splash. Angels gets the pin and the win. Results - Alan Angels
“V” wins via pinfall
This was a very good match and it was easy to see why these
2 men have signed contracts to the next step in their wrestling careers. It was
filled with action from beginning to end. This was my first time seeing Ben
work and I was amazed at his talent level for someone so young and the size on
him made me wonder what they fed him growing up. I have seen Alan multiple time
but his in ring work is amazing. You can easily see that working in AEW against
some of the top guys in the business has definitely elevated his abilities and
talent level tremendously.
Referee for the match Mike Fullilove
The match started with Coach Mikey saying that this was a special night and called for a special match. He said this match doesn't need any tags and should be done under Duck Rules. The fans go crazy and the Quack chants quickly begin. This match was so action packed. The Ducks did a great job at keeping early control of the match, but it seemed that the disadvantage of multiple teams was a bit too much. There were bodies flying everywhere. Everywhere I looked there was action inside the ring, outside the ring. Everytime you thought one team was gaining momentum, another team would come in and put a stop to it. The Ducks started building momentum again and at some point the Ducks were the only team standing in the ring and Killjoy and White Mike diving to the outside on the opposing teams. After a series of action with momentum exchanging we got our first pin of the match with Killjoy getting a 2 count. That was followed up with white mike getting a pin and a 2 count as well. The action went back and forth with all the teams unleashing their own abuse. Rob got one of the guys from the Rapture up on the top rope and suplexed him down to the other men in the match. While all the men were down Coach Mikey and Danny Vegas start to have words. Both men get in the ring and they take their turns trying to take the next off their feet using their size. At the end both men run back and forth off the ropes before running out of breath and use each other to hold the next up. Action continued again and the Ducks came out on top to get the pinfall and the win to remain the IWE Tag Team Champions. Results - Ugly Duckling win via pinfall
This was such an amazing and
action packed match up with all the teams being so fast paced that I
couldn't keep up with everything at one time. I was going through sensory
overload and I mean that in a positive way. The Ducks did what they always do
and that is impress. Rob Killjoy is an absolute genius in the ring and the way
he designs the matches he is involved in is pure magic. This was my first time
seeing the other 2 teams in action and i was completely impress all the way
around. This was such a fun and amazing match to watch where all the guys
involved worked very well together. I would definitely like to see more of The
Rapture. They just have this look about them that screams money.
Match 8 - Sean Legacy vs Alex Hammerstone
Referee for the match Danny Meade
The match started with the 2 men doing a flex off in the
middle of the ring with both men showing their body building backgrounds. Then
they got in eachothers face flexing and referee Danny Meade separated them and
gave a flex of his own. The crowd blew up cheering for Meade. Then action began
with Hammerstone and Legacy locking up. They exchanged moves with Hammerstone
using his power and Legacy using his athleticism. Momentum shifted back and
forth before Hammerstone's experience seemed to get him the upperhand.
Hammerstone stayed on the attack giving Legacy a lot of abuse getting a series
of 2 counts. Legacy finally built up some momentum with the help of the chants
from the fans. He got Hammerstone down for a 2 count of his own. Hammerstones
power and size seemed to turn things around again and he got Legacy up and
dropped him for a massive sidewalk slam and a 2 count. The 2 men exchanged
another series of big moves. Legacy got Hammerstone set up and hit a huge
cutter off the middle rope and was moving in for the pin. Just then out comes
OverKill from the back and they start to put on the attack to both Hammerstone
and Legacy. As Hammerstone and Legacy are down and OverKill starts to stand
praising their work, out comes SLIM J. He is back and starts laying out all the
members over OverKill. Slim is standing there facing David Ali as the other
members and Hammerstone with Legacy get up. Now we have Slim J, Hammerstone,
and Legacy vs OverKill really going on the attack. Slim J, Hammerstone, and
Legacy clear the ring. Tim blackmon rushes out and gets in the ring with them
and says to Ali, “That's right he’s back. Slim J and you know what you can do
you can put that in your pipe and smoke it (as he acts like he is lighting a
cigar).” The crowd goes wild with the return of Slim J Results - No Contest
IWE put out a record number for attendance and keeps
climbing with every show they put on.
The stories that IWE are putting together are coming
together smoothly. They can no longer be known as the promotion that just puts
on dream matchups. They are making magic happen in their storytelling.
OverKill is one of the top stables in the state of Georgia,
and they are OVER.
David Ali changed his gear throughout the night while
escorting his fellow OverKill members to match what they were wearing.
Slim J return is a very good thing. The crowd went wild and
it has been long overdue for his return. WELCOME BACK SLIM J
