UIW News and Notes

From Larry Goodman:

UIW's next event is at the Villa Rica Elementary School featuring the return of The Usual Suspects (Murder One & AJ Steele) vs. Bull Buchanan & former Atlanta Falcon Moose Ojinakka in a tag team shoot out match...The UIW US Title currently held by Frankie Valentine has a black cloud hanging over it.

The belt has been stolen, the first champion Bruce Biggins died, and a more recent champion, Rob Adonis was forced to retire to due to injury...2014 will mark UIW's fith anniversary. To honor the occasion, UIW will be starting a hall of fame with the first inductees to be announced at the December 7 event...Jessie Belle Smothers was in Los Angeles doing a photo shoot for WOW...She returns for January 18 show to team with Izza Bellle vs. Pain & Pleasure. May Belle Smothers (Lovely Lylah on OVW TV) hails from the Pacific Northwest. She was trained by Buddy Rose and appeared in the Canadian television show World of Hurt Season 2 with Roddy Piper as Lylah Lodge...The Texas Bullrope match brought back memories of the first Texas Bullrope match that I ever saw live -- Dusty Rhodes vs. Ric Flair at the Atlanta City Auditorium in 1978. Flair was in his atheltic prime and at this stage, Rhodes could still go. Flair bled profusely. Rhodes went over clean in the middle with a cowbell shot. Amazing as it was, the match wasn't even the main event as neither were regulars in Atlanta at the time.
