Bullpen Pro Wrestling celebrated officially one year of business by blowing the roof off of the building with a star-studded, fully loaded card that offered a lot of everything you could ask for from a wrestling show! Loser leaves town, Bullrope, Bullpen, Flags on a Pole, and more plus so many twists and turns that electrified the 612 (official count) rabid fans in attendance!
We start the show with the fearless leader himself Bull Buchanan in the ring to thank everyone for the first amazing year while also promising to try to being it big time each and every show in year two. He presents to the crowd the boots of his trainer James Hammonds who recently passed away. He goes on to say that in wrestling you leave your boots in the ring to signify you are done with in ring action and that James did not get that chance so he would do it for him. After placing them in the middle of the ring, we get the customary silence and 10 rings of the bell to pay ultimate homage to a wrestling legend. Now on to the action!
Match 1: Luka Daniels vs BK Bennett—These two spent part of the week leading up posting promo videos about how they were planning to take the other one out that were great lead ups to this one. BK with the early jump, using his speed and agility to send Luka flying multiple times all over the ring. Daniels bumps were classic and imaginative with just an insane amount of facial expressions that had the crowd cackling with laughter. Luka’s power though was a good counter to Bennett along with Daniels ability to skirt the rules to his advantage without getting caught. The two foes went back and forth trading slams and holds til finally after a miscue from Bennett, Daniels hauls hit up for the Death Valley Driver and the win. Winner—Luka Daniels via pinfall
Ryan Wyndell in the ring. He had a video earlier in the week where he tossed a bag, that supposedly contained the Bullpen Light Heavyweight Title, into a nearby river declaring the British Title he carries framed to the ring each time as a REAL championship. This opens the door for Bull to storm to the ring and push him by his collar into the corner. Bull lets Wyndell know that after tonight’s show he better find his fishing pole and retrieve that belt from the river or else.
Match 2: “Loser Leaves Bullpen Pro Wrestling”—Trey Jordan (w/ J-Rod) vs Showtime Thomas--Thomas with the jump on Jordan with fast and furious strikes to keep the bigger competitor on his heels. The quickness and flying skills shown early by Showtime were quickly dashed by the brute force of Jordan. Trey overpowered Thomas for a bit before attempting a top rope splash that just missed smashing Showtime into the mat. Thomas back in charge as he had Trey reeling. Jordan wandered towards the apron where J-Rod had leaped to in order to prevent an illegal attack from Trey. As J-Rod drew back to punch Jordan, the big man moved at the last second causing J-Rod to strike his friend Thomas right in the face! After knocking J-Rod to the floor, Trey quickly pounced on his fallen foe for the 1,2,3! Thomas, with the loss, is now gone from Bullpen Wrestling. J-Rod did help Showtime to the back while trying to explain what happened. Winner—Trey Jordan via pinfall
Match 3: Heavyweight Championship—Rob Adonis (C) vs Xavier Cross—Cross fast out of the gate like he came from a cannon! Concentrating all his efforts on catching Adonis with every move under the sun he could muster. So much high energy that you wondered how long he could keep up that pace. Thanks to Adonis we found out the answer was not too much longer. Rob showed his veteran presence, snapping up Cross into his version of a T-Bone Suplex (some fans named it a “Ribeye Suplex”). Then is was Xavier’s turn to add more to his initial onslaught, ultimately catching the champ with a running spear that garnered 3 count from the referee! We have a new cha….or do we? The referee in handing the belt to Cross sees that the foot of Adonis is on the ropes! When the official turns back to the table to signify the restart to the match Adonis claps his hands together and promptly falls to the canvas as though Xavier clocked him with the belt. Once the official turned back to the action he snatched the belt from Cross while questioning his involvement in the laid out Adonis. This lead to a disqualification of Cross and the retention of the championship for Rob Adonis. Post match a masked superstar emerged in the entryway seemingly calling out Cross with his gaze. Cross barked a few comments his way then appeared to chase after him through the curtain. Winner—(and still Heavyweight Champion) Rob Adonis via DQ
Match 4—Bullrope Match—Jaden Vain vs AJ Black—From the start it was clear these two had quite the quarrel with one another. The friends turned foes went after their opponents in order to incapacitate them and free themselves up to touch all four corners. AJ is bloodied almost from the beginning after a blow from Vain with evil intentions with the cowbell attached to the rope connecting them. It was Black’s turn to battle back and break open the forehead of Vain evening the damage of both. Jaden grounds AJ and manages to touch two of the four corners he needs. Black grabs the rope and makes sure two is all he gets. Jaden with more punishment of AJ while once again only getting to two corners before Black pulls him away from other pursuits of top turnbuckles. The two trade attacks with Vain thinking he is the only one standing as he touches turnbuckle one (AJ touches the same just behind him), turnbuckle two (AJ follows), three (same as two previous) and as he is going for the fourth AJ charges towards his with a splash in the corner while throwing his arm over Vain to touch the last turnbuckle! The official calls for the bell and awards the match to….Jaden Vain?! As it turns out, as Black executed the splash in the corner he pushed Vain into the buckle first, just before his own hand touched it as well. After the confusion and ringing of the bell, AJ looked across the ring at Jaden and called for the truce. The two embrace and celebrate to the cheers of the crowd. Then Vain knocks Black to the mat and proceeds to inflict more damage before wrapping the rope around his neck, flinging him over the rope for the choke. Vain, happy with his actions, leaves to the jeers of the fans. Winner—Jaden Vain via Four Corner Touch
Match 5: Flag On A Pole Match—Ryan Wyndell (UK) vs Dante Diamond (USA)—Patriotism was on full display as Wyndell challenged Diamond for the chance to hoist their home country’s flag into the air in victory. Bell rings and Ryan is scrambling to get his flag, easily cut off and back suplexed by Diamond. Now Dante climbs and it’s Ryan who delivers a back suplex to him for his efforts. Wyndell changed his plan and attacked the legs of Diamond. Dante battles back and utilizes a running bulldog. In the end as Ryan tries to level Dante with a steel chair, he misses and the blow hits the top rope then rebounds to striking his own head instead! This allows Diamond to scamper up the ropes, claiming his flag and victory! Winner—Dante Diamond
Match 6: Fatal Four-Way for the TV Title—J-Rod (c) vs JT Paradox vs Sean Nelson vs Jacob Ashworth—J-Rod fresh off accidently causing his friend Showtime Thomas to lose his match and be ousted from Bullpen Pro Wrestling, was looking to right his wrong and retain his title over three worthy competitors. Quite the donnybrook at the beginning, Paradox and J-Rod battled in one corner while Nelson and Ashworth were in another. Then is was Nelson and J-Rod scrapping on the outside of the ring. Next was Ashworth, Paradox and Nelson trading maneuvers in an effort to hold the gold. Ashworth and Nelson started to team up to eliminate the others. Paradox with the moonsault onto both opponents, Nelson with the clothesline on Paradox. Outside interference from Cody Windham on J-Rod clears the way for JT Paradox to get the win! After the bell, The Alpha Alexander Lincoln runs down to attack J-Rod then deliver a speech to the crowd. Winner—(And new TV Champion) JT Paradox
Before we can get an intermission break, Trey Jordan grabs the mic to explain to the crowd what his victory earlier in the night will mean for the roster.
Match 8: Bull of the Woods Championship—Cody Windham vs Judias—Judais drags Windham all around the arena while beating and throwing him from one end of the building to the other. Once back in the middle of the ring, the referee calls for the bell and the match begins. Judias dominates the early portion of the contest with authoritative strikes and slams. Cody finds some room for a short comeback using a spear and pile driver to even the stakes. The crowd was only behind their dark hero however in Judias who was fueled by their cheers to prevent Windham from every getting the full control again. A chokeslam for a near fall leads to the standing Sky High by Judias for the victory. Winner—Judias
(Match 9): Bullpen Match—Bull & Zack Buchanan vs Shane Noles and Brad Lynch—With bull gates connected just inside the ropes (plus only the top rope was still attached) and many bales of hay all in the ring, this 1st ever Bullpen match was a brutal, bloody battle from bell to bell. The fracas erupted out of the gate as Lynch and Zack found their way OUT of the pen, brawling through the arena! Bull and Noles kept their duel inside the confines as each opened up the other with street fighting tactics only reserved for a ruckus like this one. Bull had the closest pinfall attempt on Noles as official Steven Bray stops the count at two, only to shake his head NO to his boss Bull. Bull cannot believe what he is seeing but before he have get an answer official Zander Whoric storms to the ring and drops Bray with a superkick then kicks his out of the pen! As the action and all competitors finally made it all the way back to the bullpen, a recovered Zack leaped over the barrier to save his fallen father from more Lynch and Noles attacks. Just as it seemed the Buchanan family was about to put this one away, Zack superkicks his father Bull, dropping him in the middle of the ring to an astonished Noles and Lynch! The locker room empties to come to the rescue for Bull with Noles, Lynch and eventually Zack Buchanan evading the mob to safety in the back. Before Lynch and Noles are gone however, they grab a microphone to say “some surprises are so good even THEY did not know they were going to happen”, adding “but this one we are OK with” as they exited the ringside area.
