With the passing of another Thanksgiving, the Puerto Rican wrestling scene starts gearing up for their Christmas and end of 2016 final shows. After the huge success this past fall with their 43rd Anniversary Show Weekend dedicated to the late Pierre Martel, the World Wrestling Council comes back this weekend for two nights only with their End of 2016 event named Lockout. While the event won't be on iPPV, the event starts this Friday on December 2, 2016, at the Juan Pachin Vincens Memorial Auditorium in Ponce, Puerto Rico and ends on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Guillermo Angulo Sportatorium in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Scheduled to appear are Alberto El Patron (w/Paige), Aron Rex, Robbie E, MVP, Rey Hours. Tickets are $30 ringside, $18 general admission and $10 children under 10 general admission. Also at both nights, Luchador masks from some of the most legendary and well known Luchadors, such as Mil Mascaras, Dos Caras, Sr, Kalisto, Sin Cara, Gran Metalik and La Sombra, who is now known as Andrade "Cien" Almas in WWE NXT, who lost his masked two years ago after losing it in Mexico at a CMLL event.
World Wrestling League returns to the Jose Pepin Cestero Arena in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on December 17, 2016, for Christmas in Puerto Rico, which was originally an event from the now defunct IWA Puerto Rico with a starting bell time of 8:30 PM. During the past few weeks, the feud surrounding the mysterious black box between WWL President "El Boricua Mayor" Savio Vega and his brother, the WWL General Manager "La Mina De Oro" Dennis River. There will also be more on the latest in WWL, the working relationship with Champions Wrestling Association, Walkyria trying to bring in new talent and WWL World Heavyweight champion Superstar Ash and his West Side Mafia stirring up trouble. This Saturday, December 3,2016, Champions Wrestling Association will be live at the Cosme Beitia Salamo Coliseum in Cataño, Puerto Rico at 8:45 PM bell time will not just be a regular card event but also the management of CWA will announce the site of their End of 2016 event Christmas Showdown, which will be on Sunday, December 18, 2016, with a special bell time of 6:30 PM. Advertised: Jay Lethal defends the CWA World Heavyweight championship against "El Sensacional" Carlitos in their final battle. "The Glamour Boy" Shane Sewel vs. Savio Vegas in a Christmas Street fight. "El mas que lucha" Ryan Davis defends the CWA Intercontinental championship against Kennoly.
