From Logan Frazier:
Attendance looked to be around 33 people paid. They seem to be trying to improve some aspects of this show and I would say that they are in the process of rebuilding this show.
Jason Collins vs Ethan Cage (with Austyn Madison)
Both guys seem used to a bigger ring. They both seem to be over throwing on hip tosses. Solid back and forth exchanges. The slow downs are believable. Both guys aren't afraid of taking bumps which is improvement over last week's guys. Ethan Cage wins by pinfall. After the match. Ethan extended his hand. Jason shook his hand but when Madison raised both their hands, Collins laid her out with a neckbreaker and ran. Nice storytelling at the end. C+
Aaron G vs Charles Allen
Aaron attacks Allen from behind as the bell rings. Aaron dominates most of the match. Allen drops him suddenly and takes the pinfall. I'm not really a fan of out of nowhere finishes, but that's just me. Aaron G seems to have potential as a good heel. But, a good heel needs to be doing something on the mic to draw heat. D
Aiden Wright vs XVI
Aiden comes out and is the first one I've seen so far that makes you believe his own shit. Xvi made some explosive moves but it is just ineffective against the much bigger Wright. Aiden scores the pinfall after pretty much dominating the match. If XVI was against an opponent in his own weight class, he could potentially be impressive. Aiden was decent on the mic, getting heat. Also he did a great job selling for xvi to get him a couple of exposure spots B-
The Dakota Outlaws vs Big Red & Mike Clay
Dakota Outlaws should be referred to as the S&M Express. Red starts out with some exchanges. Clay tags in and is taking the brunt of punishment from the Outlaws as they tag back and forth. Clay gets the hot tag and while being double teamed, Red is thrown into Clay, knocking him to floor. As a result, Red is pinned for the 3 count. This match seemed thrown together. There was no storied reason for Clay to become Red's partner against these guys. The match was slow and clunky. Red and Clay appeared off because of the much slower moving Outlaws. F
Erron Wade vs Brent Banner
These two look very evenly matched. A lot of back and forth with reversals and pin attempts. Kept attention with a lot of high impact moves. Erron's and Banner's moves are quick and very fluid. Didn't know until the very end which one was going to come out on top. Brent Banner takes it by pinfall. This was absolutely the match of the night. Erron is definitely performer of the night. He looks great. I was shocked to learn that he is green in the business because his ring presence showed otherwise. A-
Johnny Viper vs Paul Manson vs John Bishop
Viper drops to the outside and allows the other two to go at it until an attempt at a pinfall. He comes back in to break the count and begins fighting with Manson as Bishop drops out. We begin to get a lot of swapping in and out fighting one on one, instead of constant three way action. They actually call a couple spots out loud in the ring. Somebody better get to learning Cizarny. Viper and Manson begin to double team Bishop. Bishop double suplexes both. Viper and Manson begin fighting. Bishop sneaks in and rolls up viper from behind to score the pinfall and become the new #1 contender for the Heavyweight Championship. Again, I'm personally just not a fan of these out of nowhere finishes to matches. I guess WWE has burnt me on them a little too much. Viper seems to have some potential in his persona psychology. Manson looks his character but I cannot see the character he is trying to be as a face. It's not believable. He doesn't need to come out slapping hands and hugging women. That put me off of him a little. Absolutely hated Bishop's ring attire. White is not for wrestling or his body type. I don't care when Labor Day is. C+
