Originally slated for Saturday, October 19th from the Old Buffington Gym, the GPW faithful were in full force as a total of 226 came out to Georgia Premier Wrestling’s debut at the Canton Armory!

Here are the results.

1. SP The Ghost defeated Matt Sells I’m a hot opening match that saw some exciting action. 

2. Kit Sackett defeated Justin Law. Law and Sackett, both under 20 matches combined, showed their skills and had an excellent back and forth match.

3. What started as BTB’s Rowe Hicks and Cuzin Shaggy (filling in for BTB’s Brandon Bullock) against Georgia Heat became 2 on 1 as the Cutting Edge, originally barred from the building made their presence known and attacked Rowe, leaving Cuzin Shaggy behind until the returning Cuzin Cletus made the save and help Shaggy pick up the victory. Both teams shook hands as they went towards intermission.

4. In what could have been the match of the evening, Fearless Musa picked up the victory against Kung Fu Janela, the second cousin, twice removed of AEW wrestler, Joey Janela. This match had the crowd going crazy from beginning to end with Musa getting the victory with the 450 splash!

5. A 5 Man Scramble was interrupted by an unknown monster who made his way to the ring and absolutely decimated each and every competitor. This man has never been seen before in GPW and they promised to have answers soon.

6. In what was the other match of the night, Shawn Dean defeated Cody Vance to earn a full time roster spot in GPW. Vance and Dean went toe to toe and Vance seemed to have the victory in place, even taking out every member of the Cutting Edge until TJ Boss, former GPW gag champion of the Syndicate hit Vance with a vicious slam, enabling Dean to get the victory and secure a job for himself. The remaining members of the Cutting Edge will have the opportunity to earn full time spots next month and their opponents will be named soon.

7. “The Star of the Show” Anna Jayy made her entrance but decided that the Canton Armory were not up to her standards until the Fighting Siren, Shalandra Royal made a challenge that Anna Jayy accepted, just not on this night. The two will face each other next month.

8. In the main event of the night Erik Havok and Chad Sky Walker ended just as Sky Walker looked like he was on his way to become the new GPW Champion, the lights went out and when they came back on, everyone was down and in the ring was SP The Ghost. Then, a gang wearing Ghost masks made their way out and carried Sky Walker away.

As Havok began to run his mouth, the GPW crowd favorite and resident Outlaw,The Pale Horse Josey Quinn made his return and took out Havok, signaling the end of his title reign. Quinn will face Havok as GPW returns to the Armory on Friday night, November 22nd with “Sucker Punch”.
