Southern Fried News and Notes

Southern Fried Championship Wrestling returns to action tonight in Monroe at Nowell Rec with a first time ever match between Phase One Champion Jimmy Rave and Billy Buck; Tetchi Makugi vs. Jagged Edge; Champions Rave Approved (Bobby Moore & Adryan Hawkins) vs. Washington Bullets for the tag titles; Stryknyn vs. Gary Jay in what promises to be a brutal match; Fantasy vs. Drew Blood; Evan Gelistico vs. Damien Bennett and Dogs of War vs. Unbreakable.

SFCW will be back in Nowell Rec on May 6, then it's on to Shindig 4 on June 3. The annual Fan Appreciation Night event is set for July 15.

SFCW and New Rock Prep Academy are co-sponsoring a Community Day on May 27 in Covington at the Academy from 10 am to 4 pm.

Georgia Announcer of the Year Jonathan Feltner just cannot stay away. Feltner, who said he would be taking time off after the first of the year, subbed for regular SFCW ring announcer Rick Richards at Full Metal Madness. He was also back at the Landmark Arena to handle the ring announcing at Hardcore Hell.

It was a tough Wrestlemania weekend for Jimmy Rave. Rave's elbow swelled after he gave blood on March 29. He left town for his scheduled appearance in Orlando and planned to be at the SFCW event in Monroe Saturday night. Unfortunately, Rave ended up in the hospital diagnosed with a staph infection.
