As we kick off Summer 2019, the Puerto Rican wrestling scene sets the stage with several big events.
Champions Wrestling Association continues the road to their Eleventh Anniversary Show, which is scheduled for later this summer. They will hold their next event, Desafio (Challenge) 2019, on Saturday June 1 at the Cancha Bajo Techo del Barrio Maguayo in Dorado. Bell time will be 7:00 PM. Things should get interesting given what happened in each match last Sunday, May 19. For starters, CWA World Tag Team Champions: Los Fugitivos challenged and threatened Sensational Star Roger. Also, “The Soul Reaper” Raeven Marie beat “La Perla Negra” Allison Benjamin clean in the Women’s match. Additionally, former CWA Accion Vibrante Champion: “Showman” Mike Nice showed up after Noel Rodriguez successfully defended the CWA World Championship against Star Roger. The following video highlights feature both Sensational Star Roger and Los Fugitvos, as well as showcase the aftermath of the main event leading into Desafio on Saturday June 1 in Toa Alta.
There are two matches already announced for CWA’s Desafio 2019 on Saturday June 1st:
1- “El Dueño de la Malicia” Noel Rodriguez defends the CWA World Heavyweight Championship against Sensational Star Roger and "El Dueño del Mundo" Hiram Tua and in a Triple threat match.
2- Former CWA Accion Vibrante Champion: “Showman” Mike Nice squares off against former NRW Mayaguez promotion’s Intercontinental Champion and former WXW World Tag Team Champion: Vertigo “The Cure” Rivera.

In the aftermath of the "Apuesta Letal" event, World Wrestling League returns to the Angel Musico Hernandez Ampitheater in Dorado. This event will be held on Friday, June 15 with an 8:00 PM bell time. Two weeks before the event, WWL Adminsitration will have a special live press conference from the Hijole Mexican Restaurant in Isla Verde on Saturday, June 1st. This will be hosted at 6PM through their Facebook page.

IWA Puerto Rico's development territory Pro Wrestling Caribbean will have their Summer Vengeance event at the Cancha Bajo Techo Lino Rivera de Las Parcelas Amadeo in Vega Baja. Also, their One Year Anniversary Show is now out on DVD and will be on sale soon in upcoming Pro Wrestling Caribbean and IWA Puerto Rico events. This includes the event on Saturday, June 15, which will be held at the Angel "Gelito" Ortega Coliseum in Naranjito. Bell time will be 8:00 PM. Proceeds from ticket sales, concessions, and merchandise will raise funds for the Naranjito's Changos Bravos basketball team.
This will lead to their Summer Attitude event scheduled for Saturday, July 13th at the Mario Quijote Morales coliseum in Guaynabo. Florida's New Generation Championship Wrestling will host their upcoming Lucha Conquest 4: Paid Forward on Saturday June 8 from the Paul V.Mitchell Arena in Orlando, Florida. Bell time will be 8:00 PM. Scheduled to appear: Carlito, Impact Wrestling superstar: Eli Drake, Invader #1, and many other well known wrestlers from Puerto Rico, USA, Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, Canada.
Tickets are $20.00, and they will be on sale through the NGCW and Epiko Magazine websites.

Nexxen will be headed back to Queens, New York on Saturday, June 22 for Evolution Wrestling promotion's event The J.L. Chico Memorial Cup Tournament. This will be hosted from the Queens Elk Lodge as Nexxen will defend the NEW High Impact Championship against former champion: Alexander Thorne and Jay Akira.
The same night, WWC Development Territory: Revolution Wrestling Entertainment will have their Summer Revolution 2019 event in Cancha Bajo Techo Punta Diamante in Ponce.
On Saturday, June 29, Vega Alta's New Evolution Wrestling will have their event called Fantastic Wrestling at 8:00 PM. Advertiesd:

In their Invasion USA event two months ago, superstars from Queens, New York's NEW promotion, as well as former AWA World Tag Team Champions: The Memphis Kings (from AWA New South in Franklin, Kentucky) appeared on the two night event. This event was also where Nexen became the new NEW High Impact Champion, defeating Thorne.
