From Anarchy Wrestling:
Anarchy kicked off the new decade right where December to Remember left off. 167 fans packed The Landmark Arena on a night where the storms outside seemed calm in comparison the storm brewing inside the hallowed halls of the historic north Georgia venue. The 3rd Annual Bunkhouse Rumble would be the on ramp to the highway to hell as from this moment forward all roads are leading to the 22nd edition of Hardcore Hell on Saturday night March 28th. In years past the highway to hell has been a bumpy road, full of twists and turns, unexpected roadblocks, potholes, and detours. The one exception for the past 2 years has been the Bunkhouse Rumble. The winner of the Bunkhouse Rumble goes on to Hardcore Hell with a life changing opportunity and that is a chance at the prestigious Anarchy Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Griff Garrison.
Ashton Starr defeated Hunter Drake
Both men had very different outcomes at December to Remember. Hunter Drake was part of a six man tag match that saw him on the losing end, while Ashton Starr was victorious in his match against Scott Mayson. Both men came out equally parts hungry and looking to make a good impression to the championship committee. In the end, Ashton Starr would hit the Petty-T for the win.
Geter defeated Will Huckaby via DQ
Despite the brutality he faced 24 hours prior, Will Huckabee was in top form against the massive Geter. Of course, this story goes back several months when both men were members of the Undeniable. They have had wars and this was no different. Just when it looked like Geter had the better of Huckabee, the rest of the Undeniable attacked including Stryknyn who has not been seen at the Landmark Arena for several weeks. All of a sudden, the lights began to flicker and go out. The eerie mysterious person in the mask appeared and had Azrael in tow. Azrael stepped into the ring and into the face of Stryknyn. Stryknyn appeared to have seen a ghost and uncharacteristically backed out of the ring and disappeared. With Azrael gone from the arena floor as well, the Undeniable once again turned their attention to a prone Geter. A chair was introduced and Geters arm was placed inside the fold and slammed injuring his hand and arm. The Undeniable and Matt Hankins left pleased with their work.
Tyler Rivera defeated Mason Creed Morris
Morris made his Anarchy debut as part of the pre-show for December to Remember and he returned to the Landmark Arena to a thunderous reaction from the crowd. Tyler Rivera came out of December to Remember with a new attitude and a new look as his frustrations with Wolverton and Will Kaution came to a head at the conclusion of the six man match at December to Remember. Rivera brought those frustrations in to this match with the young rookie and despite Morris’s best efforts he just couldn’t hang with Rivera. Rivera gained the pinfall after a brutal face first DDT. Out of nowhere Will Kaution came out, no doubt still angry over being laid out by a superkick from Rivera at December to Remember. Wolverton tried to play peacemaker as Rivera retreated to the locker room.
Next up was the second announcement for the Landmark Arena Hall of Fame. Earlier in the week, as part of the Georgia Wrestling History year end awards on The Tipping Point podcast, it was announced that legendary Georgia wrestling journalist was being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Joining him in this 2020 class would be Todd Sexton. Todd came out, but before he could say anything he was interrupted by Adrian Hawkins, the Landmark Arena Heritage Champion. Hawkins began to berate Sexton, asking him if he wanted to join the likes of David Young and Jeremy Vain as Landmark legends who challenged him for his championship, but could not beat him. This brought out Dynamic Dexter, who for months has tried to challenge Hawkins, only to be dismissed by the arrogant champion. Sexton issued a challenge to Hawkins after Hawkins made the comment that he could easily beat Dexter in five minutes. Sexton, acting on behalf of Dexter issued a challenge where if Dexter could last or beat Hawkins in less than 5 minutes, he would receive a shot at the Landmark Arena Heritage Championship. Hawkins said he would accept, but only if there was something in it for him. Sexton then said, if Hawkins wins in less than 5 minutes, Dexter could not challenge for the Landmark Heritage championship again. Hawkins accepted.
Dynamic Dexter defeated Adrian Hawkins to win a future Landmark Arena Heritage Championship
Hawkins pulled his usual stunt and took his time removing his suit and preparing to wrestle. The bell rung and Hawkins turned his attention briefly to Todd Sexton who was still at ringside. This gave Dexter the time to climb to the top rope and when Hawkins turned around Dexter leapt off and caught him with a crossbody. 3 seconds later, Dexter was victorious and walking out with a shot at the Landmark Arena Heritage Championship.
Crystal Rose defeated Kenzie Paige to retain the Anarchy Women’s Championship
Kenzie Paige is just 17 years old but has been competing since she was 14. She was trained by Dr. Tom Prichard and Glen Jacobs. Crystal Rose was coming off her brutal Last Woman Standing match at December to Remember, in which she won the Women’s Championship. Paige was a game competitor but was no match for the wily Crystal Rose, who was successful in her first defense. The victory would be short lived as Matt Hankins made his way to the ring and provided just enough of a distraction for Nina Monet to attack from behind. Rose would attempt to fight back but was thwarted by the sadistic Nina Monet. Hankins and Monet left the ringside area pleased with the carnage they left.
Spi-ral defeated Josh O’Hagan
More Anarchy debuts took place when these two exciting competitors locked up in the Landmark Arena. Spi-Ral is the Bosnia Warchild with a background in the martial arts. Josh O’Hagan is a former MMA fighter with a jujitsu background. Both men brought their A games and their martial arts backgrounds were on full display. In the end it would be Spi-Ral getting the victory.
Next up, Scott Mayson and CT Keys came to the ring. Mayson was there to expound on the banner year he had in 2019 and how he had run many men out of town. He stated he was bigger than Habersham County and that he was now the “Hero” to the entire state of Georgia. He then stated that with a new year, it was time for a new him. He was going to have to cut loose the people who have rode his cape. He turned his attention to Keyes, who he said he no longer needed and then proceeded to leave the ring. Keyes stood in the center ring in shock.
Billy Buck won the Bunkhouse Rumble and a shot at the Anarchy championship at Hardcore Hell
In this come as you are, all weapons legal match, Buck was forced to enter at number 1 by Bill Behrens. He would be joined by Will Kaution who drew number 2. Kaution was looking to start 2020 and improve upon the year he had previously. Buck and Kaution went at it tooth and nail, with Kaution holding his own. The advantage a momentum would swing in the favor of Buck as Shane Marx was the third man to enter the Rumble. He went right after Kaution giving Buck a chance to recover. Starr would enter next and try to even the odds. Cody Mcculley would enter next, but would be met outside the ring by Hankins. Cody was laid out and sent into the ring post. Coming in next was the debuting Brandon Cash and what an opportunity to make your debut and a chance for a shot at the Anarchy title. The action was all over the ring with various weapons being used to cause chaos. Morris would enter next followed by O’Hagan. The ring was piling up with competitors and the numbers game was once again about to take a turn in the favor of The Undeniable as Brian Blaze entered the contest at the number 9 position. At this point nobody had been eliminated. The 10th man in would be Spi-Ral, who had an impressive victory earlier in the evening. The 11th man in was scheduled to be Dynamic Dexter. He would never it make it to the ring, as he was attacked by Hawkins. Referees carried Dexter to the back and deemed him unable to compete, thus making him the first elimination. Next in would be the massive Geter followed by Mayson and Drake. At this point eliminations began taking place at a faster pace. Mcculley who spent a majority of the time outside the ring finally found himself inside the ring and was eliminated. The numbers game would try to work against Geter as several competitors attempted to eliminate the 425 pounder. Keys would enter followed by Tommy Penirelli. Morris would be the next to be eliminated followed by Spi-Ral, O’Hagan, and Brandon Cash. Josh Wolverton was the next to enter and he came wielding a kendo stick. Will Huckaby entered the fray followed by Rivera. Blaze would soon be eliminated followed by Drake, Marx, Keys, and Mayson. The last entrant into the Bunkhouse Rumble would be Stryknyn. From here it was down to business as Kaution and Rivera went at each other feverishly. Huckaby in an amazing display of power would eliminate Geter on his own. Huckaby would soon be eliminated. Rivera eliminated Wolverton when he came in from behind and surprised his GB1C partner. Rivera would find himself soon eliminated followed by Starr. After all the entrants and eliminations, we were down to the first two men to enter the Bunkhouse Rumble, Buck and Kaution. Or so we thought. Sometime during all the action Tommy Penirelli had positioned himself under the ring till he was given the ok from La Familia who was at ringside. Penirelli attempted to sneak attack Kaution, only to be eliminated and dumped into the lap of La Familia. Buck used this moment to try to eliminate Kaution, but Kaution also used Penirelli’s La Familia as stepping stones and walked to the stairs and back into the ring. After a few minutes of back and forth and what seemed like was going to be Kaution’s chance to punch the big ticket, Kaution was eliminated and Buck won the match. Buck will now go on to Hardcore Hell to challenge for the Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
Anarchy Wrestling returns to the Landmark Arena on Saturday night January 25th with Buck and Garrison confronting each other face to face. The Landmark Arena Heritage Title will be on the line as Hawkins is forced to defend against Dexter. There will be that and so much more.
