Antonio Corona started his wrestling career in his native San Luis Potosi, Mexico, home of the legendary Mascaras family: from WWE Hall of Famer Mil Mascaras, his brothers Dos Caras Sr. and Sicodelico and nephews Dos Caras, Jr. (who later became more famous as "El Patron" Alberto Del Rio), brother Hijo de Dos Caras (Memo Montenegro in WWE development) and Sicodelico, Jr.
Corona first wrestled for the Universal Wrestling Alliance (UWA) as Discovery and won both the NWA Mexico Lightweight and Welterweight Championships. Corona left UWA to join the then newly created AAA as the member of Los Cadetes del Espacio (The Space Cadets) as Gamma he is joined by Venum, Ludxor, Frisbee, Boomerang and Super Nova. Dropping the Gamma name, Corona became Discovery throughout the mid-1990s. As well documented with AAA's ill fated partnership with WWE during 1997, Discovery and Los Cadetes del Espacio appeared in both Raw and the old WWF Shotgun Saturday Night television tapings. A few years later, Corona moved from Mexico and made his new home in Chicago where he wrestled for Galli Lucha, ELLMEX and Lucha Libre Total as well as becoming a trainer for the next generation of luchadors, from former WWE Superstars Samuray Del Sol and Mustafa Ali, Joaquin Wilde (who is still in WWE NXT as part of El Legado de Fantasma fka DJ Z), Golden Dragon, Storm Grayson, Chico Suave and Gringo Loco until his death on May 15, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.
Corona will always be remembered as not just another luchador from South of the border. but as a lucha legend, who gave his best and produced the next generation of luchadors.
