PCW had some good ish on this show, served hot and hot and hot and hot and hot and fresh. About 75 braved the immense heat inside the What-a-deal building to see some of the more interesting wrestling angles running in Georgia, beginning and ending with is the Head Muckity-Muck, Matt Hankins in charge of PCW, or is everyone getting triple (or even quadruple) worked over.
Double X news video
starts the show; Del La Vega recaps what’s been happening at PCW. And then he makes
a live appearance in the ring along with Cuatro. He’s here to gives us the
news. He gives us some of his history at PCW amid mic problems. The crowd
doesn’t really care and that sets De La Vega off in a verbal tirade. He says
that there’s no one in charge of the company. This brings Matt Hankins out to
the chants of “We want Matt”. Vega’s upset that he didn’t get the invite to the
Homecoming show. Hankins corrects him that everyone who ever came through the
curtain at PCW was welcome to show up. PCW is built on chaos, everyone is
welcome to show up. Hankins tells De La Vega to take his grown ass to the
announce booth to call the show along with Johnny Danger.
1st match: Skrilla the Great
with PCW champion Brian Blaze vs. Cedrick Tyrell.
Tough test for the 2nd year rookie, Tyrell. Skrilla doesn’t
want to tie up, prompting a scaredy cat chant. Tyrell wants the quick pin. Old school
rope walk into a sit down spring board arm drag on Skrilla. Skrilla trips up
Tyrell. Tyrell taking a lot of punishment but Skrilla can’t get a pin. A
mid-ring meeting leaves both men down; Tyrell’s up first. Skrilla sets Tyrell
on the top turnbuckle; wanting a superplex? Tyrell slips out and he goes up
top, but Skrilla rolls away to avoid what Tyrell was going to do. Blaze and
Skrilla talk on the outside, Tyrell splashes down on them. Tyrell wants a Swanton,
Skrilla rolls away, Tyrell crashes and burns. Skrilla hits the springboard rko.
Skrilla is looking for the pin, but Blaze comes into the ring apparently angry
after that splash and attacks Tyrell for the DQ at 8:52. Winner: Cedric Tyrell.
Loads of things to take away from this match, but first and
foremost is that Blaze is in need of an anger management class. Skrilla doesn’t
take shit from anyone, eventually something will happen.
Skrilla teases conflict with Blaze but ends up slamming a chair
on the back of Tyrell. They continue to beat on Tyrell with the chair until
they get tired of the easy pickings and they walk off. Tyrell stumbles up, and Skrilla
and Blaze run back in from the back and lay waste to Tyrell once again and he’s
not getting up this time.
2nd match: “The Pure Ash-hole” Ash Bennett vs. Dominic
Stuckey.
Bennett’s in need of a tanning booth. After a couple of
trade off moves, Stuckey takes a drop kick to the stomach to begin the heat. Bennett’s
going move for move with Stuckey. Stuckey hits a high risk but only gets a two
count. Stuckey hits a double under-hook cutter for the win at 6:01.
Stuckey has filled out and has added some more power to his
skill set. Second time in a week seeing Bennett: If you’re going to be the
Ash-hole, be the Ash-hole!
3rd match: ERC vs. Najasism.
No love lost between these two; the action’s fast and
furious right off the bell. ERC’s forced to retreat from the ring, Naja goes
over the top rope for a hurricanrana for a big pop. Holy fuck, I can’t describe
that sequence, but ERC got a near fall off of that. De La Vega’s yelling
encouragement from the booth to ERC. Falcón’s arrow for a near fall for ERC. Naja
dodges a running boot and it’s Naja’s time for the high octane offence. Very
near fall on ERC, Ref Hall saved him. Octopus submission on ERC, ERC elbows his
way out. Naja gets planted across the knees of ERC for a near fall. RKO from
ERC, near fall. ERC wants another RKO, Naja handstands and blocks it. ERC
showboats and turns around into a spear for a near fall. Super kick, spinning
boat, then Naja’s up top. Geter storms out and chokes slams Naja from the top
turnbuckle, causing the DQ at 10:05.
ERC wants the mic: between the mic and the crowd, I can’t
hear him. I guess he was calling out Bryce Cannon, because the Dealer’s choice
Champion comes out to a mix of applause and boos. My best guess, ERC was
suppose to take out Hankins and Cannon was suppose to pay up. Geter wants
Cannon to pay up, Pepperbottom comes out with the money in a fanny pack. ERC
shakes down Pepps while Geter has Cannon backed into a corner. ERC and Geter
leave with the money while Pepps and Cannon try to regroup in the ring. Cannon
is suppose to defend the title but the former champ who was suppose to challenge
isn’t there, so Cannon has the night off unless someone comes out. Chip Day’s
music plays and he comes to the ring to a big pop.
4th match: Chip Day vs. Bryce Cannon with Cornelious
Pepperbottom.
Day wants a title match, Cannon declines. A flurry of
offence from Cannon gets a near fall. Day responds in kind; A kick to the chest
of Cannon gets one polo shirt off. Pepps distracts Day allowing Cannon to hot
shot Day. The second polo comes off now, so you know it’s gotten serious. The
third shirt is off now. Day shows Cannon how to chop. Dirty tricks by Cannon. Second
turnbuckle stunner for a near fall for Day. Cannon tries for a leg sweep, Day
flips him over and pins Cannon at 8:30.
Ending seemed a bit awkward; the board under the ring might have
popped out. If they get to run this back again, I’m down for it.
Stone Cold Steve Danger comes out with a skull cap on and
SCSA’s music plays and gives Cannon threes stunners and gives Pepps one as
well. Arrive, raise hell, and leave with a double beer guzzle to boot.
Intermission.
4th match: Jack Ledger vs. Warden.
I don’t know Jack, which would surprise no-one who reads
these, but in this case, I really don’t know Jack. Ledger attacks before the
bell, Warden weathers that from the smaller man and just throws Ledger down. I’m
liking Ledger’s attitude, but it’s all
for naught as Ledger gets squashed in 1:17.
Sabotage by the Beastie Boys plays and Geter makes his way
to the ring with ERC in tow. Is this a match now? Looks like it
5th match: Warden vs. Geter.
Geter and Warden have some words in the ring and then the
fists start flying. Warden lands an open hand chop, Geter turns him around and
delivers one of his own. Paul Bunyan would be envious of these chops. Both
shirts come off, oh crap. Corner splash on Warden, followed up the eye gouge.
Head butt sends Warden down. Corner to corner knee by Geter. Warder punching
his way up, Geter knocks him down with a back elbow, Warden responds. 3 big
boots by Warden knocks Geter off of his feet, a 4th boot gets a pin attempt.
Warden wants a black hole slam, Geter reverses for a belly to belly. Geter’s
straps have come down. Lion tamer by Geter! Warden passes out at 8:12.
Warden took the hoss fight to the Hoss of all Hosses and
showed up for it. If someone told be that Geter would break out a submission
move like that, I would have not believed it and it totally worked.
6th match tag team gauntlet match: Representing The Haus of
butcHer: Nathaniel Vanderbilt and Rose Gold with butcHer and the Creeps vs.
Parker Li and Hyena Hera.
Hera sends Bilt down with a couple of arm drags; Bilt gets
schooled by the rookie Hera. Li in and knocks Bilt down with a drop kick. Li
gets double teamed. Hot tag to Hera and she takes it to Gold. Li has Bilt
pinned but the Creeps are up on the apron distracting the ref. Low blow to Li
and that’s all they wrote for Li, he gets pinned at 4:51
Eddie Honcho and Hawk Thomas are out next; Thomas lays waste
to Bilt and gets a near fall. Honcho in, he tea bags Bilt. Honcho goes to stink
face Bilt, The Creeps take out Thomas as Gold distract Wynn, butcHer whacks
Honcho over the head with the kendo stick and Bilt pins Honcho at 2:00.
Cuatro Cabezas and El Hijo Cuatro are out next. Bilt’s still
trying to recover from Honcho’s attack. Cuatro out dances Bilt. El Hijo
airplane spins Bilt. Wynn gets distracted again, Irving West sneaks in and knocks
out Cuatro with a foreign object, Cuatro gets pinned at 2:29. Bilt’s celebrating,
The Carpenter comes to the ring and knocks out Bilt with a shovel. The Haus of
butcHer run after Carpenter and to the back
Dudes in Kimonos (Frankie Filto and KayJay Impala) are out
now and they double team the wobbly legged Bilt in a matter of seconds for the
win.
Xavier Reyes and Hunter James are out next facing the Dudes
in Kimonos. The Varsity is the final entry. Heel tag tactics from the Varsity
on Frankie. James and Frankie both go for a cross body, both men down. They
both tag out. Impala and Reyes go at it, Impala spears Reyes. Double team on
Impala, pin broken up. Frankie and Hunter out on the floor. Hunter grabs Reyes’
arms to prevent the rollup, Frankie pulls James down from off the apron, Impala
pins Reyes at 4:37. Winners of the tag gauntlet match: Frankie Filto and KayJay
Impala: the Dudes in Kimonos.
Okay, that ending totally shocked me; using wrestling’s
inevitable conclusion law, The Varsity would have been the winner, but this is
PCW and PCW likes to say FU to any wrestling laws. Vanderbilt was the MVP of
the match, dude took a lickin and kept on tickin!
Main Event: Three Stages of Platinum: KC Rocker vs. Duncan
Mitchell.
Rocker says that if he wins, he’s the #1 contender for the
Dealer’s choice, if he loses, he’s gone from PCW. First fall under normal rules,
second fall is no DQ, third fall is a strap match; third fall will happen no
matters who wins the first two falls. Mitchell comes to the ring for a big pop.
They got right at each other even before the bell. Rocker’s fighting like every
thing’s on the line and for him it is. Mitchell wants the knee, Rocker rolls
out of the ring to avoid it and grabs chair. Rocker hits Mitchell with the
chair for the DQ at 2:11.
Second fall is no DQ. Both men use the chair, Rocker rolls
out of the ring again, and trips up Mitchell onto the ring apron. Rocker grabs
a barbed wire bat and rubs it into the forehead of Duncan. Duncan’s on the
floor, Rocker grabs a crutch and uses it on the throat of Duncan. Mitchell’s
bleeding, not a good flow and it doesn’t last long, but it’s there. Mitchell
hits Rocker with the chair. Mitchell has the bat now, Rocker’s back out on the
floor. Rocker dodges the bat and send Mitchell into the ring post. Rocker has a
broom handle now and uses it. Mitchell power bombs Rocker onto the stage.
Mitchell grabs a bucket of Legos from under the ring; they get poured into the
middle of the ring. Rocker reverses Mitchell into the wall and then tosses him
into the ring and onto the Legos. Mitchell no sells the Lego bucket lid. Mitchell
wants to suplex Rocker onto the Legos, Rocker reverses it, Mitchell lands on
the Legos. Rocker gets a near fall. Legos are sticking to the back of Mitchell.
Rocker DDT’s Mitchell but Rocker landed on the Legos, so he can’t capitalize. Both
men slow to get up, Mitchell shoves a bunch of Legos into the mouth of Rocker
and then punches him in the mouth. Rocker low blows Mitchell and then DDT’s Mitchell
for the win at 10:12.
Third fall: chain match. Brief pause to attach the collars. Mitchell
knocks Rocker down, then gathers up a bunch of chain links and ax handles
Rocker. Submission attempt by Mitchell. Cuatro and son are ring side, cheering
on Mitchell. Rocker chocking Mitchell with the chain. Mitchell stands up with
rocker on his shoulder and then falls backwards onto the Legos, yeouch!
Mitchell touching 3 turnbuckles but stops and wants more punishment on Rocker,
Rocker says fuck you. Mitchell hits the high knee and touches the 4th
turnbuckle to end the match at 3:21. Winner: Duncan Mitchell and KC Rocker is
gone from PCW.
Next show in 2 weeks.
The crowd serenades Rocker. Rocker offers his hand to
Mitchell, Mitchell says this is goodbye until Rocker decides to come home,
shakes Rocker’s hands. Rocker says he’ll carry everything he’s learned here at
PCW wherever he may go. The crowd claps for that, Rocker turns on them immediately.
Ha!
Darryl Hall and Jynnyfyr Wynn were the referees.
The microphones, usually very dependable for PCW, were
having issues all night. I couldn’t even hear anyone in the booth and I was
practically right next to them.
If you’re new in wrestling in Georgia, outside of the ACTION
preshow, PCW is where you are going to want to make stops at. Pretty much
everyone on my Most Improved list has or is making stops here and with the
catch as catch can booking, versatility will be shown and networking IS a
thing.
