Viral Pro Wrestling presented Fallout from the Sweetwater Gym in Thomson GA on Saturday June 11th with an attendance of 215.
215 is a decent number considering the other events running in the area as well as families being on vacation for the summer.
Ring announcer for the evening is Jonathan Feltner. He welcomes everyone for coming out.
Your opening contest is Chase Emery vs Drew Adler in a #1 Contender’s Match for the Outbreak Championship. Referee: Chris Wiggins
Before the match begins Wade Adams makes his way out as a special guest commentator for this match.
Adler enters first to All-Star to a pop, followed by the debuting Emery. The crowd pops for Emery. The match begins as Adler taunts to the crowd screaming LET’S GO to a pop, followed by a lock-up as Emery takes Adler to the mat. Adler counters with a headlock-takeover, wrenching the neck of Emery. Both men shake hands showing sportsmanship and recenter. Adler wrenches the arm of Emery, followed by Emery into a headlock-takeover. Great chaining by these two. Adler counters with a headlock and Emery reverses with a bridge but Adler powers out. Both men recenter and lock-up again. Emery whips Adler off the ropes and hits a shoulder tackle. Adler goes to shake Emery’s hand and takes him to the mat. Emery then hits a hip toss followed by a scoop slam. The crowd is behind Emery. Adler cuts Emery off into a backbreaker followed by a stomp into the cover to no success. Adler whips Emery into the corner, laying in huge chops followed by a MASSIVE hip toss slinging Emery across the ring. Emery fires back with right-hands and attempts to whip Adler but is countered into a powerslam. Adler then slings Emery out of the ring and hits a suicide dive to the outside! Emery drinks from Adler’s thermos of protein mix and hulks up with a HUGE comeback! Emery then hits a spinning-neckbreaker for the win! Winner and new #1 Contender for the Outbreak Championship: Chase Emery Time: 10:02
After the match, Adams proceeds to enter the ring to cut a promo asking how did they have a #1 Contender’s match without him when the Outbreak Championship is his title. He then states that it is not over between himself and Gustavo, followed by congratulating Emery on his win but tells him to stay out of his way. Wade then calls out Gustavo but he isn’t there. Wade states he won’t stop until he gets back what’s his and exits.
Ring announcer Feltner receives word that Sean Legacy has been cleared to compete tonight and will defend the VPW Heavyweight Championship against Chip Day in the main event! HUGE pop from the crowd.
The next contest is a singles match. Hunter Young vs JR Riley. Referee: Katrina Krize
Out first is the returning Hunter Young, who hasn’t been seen in VPW since 2017. The crowd screams and welcomes Young back with open arms. Out next is the debuting JR Riley of the Palmetto Wrestling Academy.
The match begins and Jon Davis immediately storms the ring to hit Young with a DEVASTATING pop-up powerbomb, followed by a package-piledriver to Riley! Official Krize calls for the bell, as this match is ruled a no contest via interference.
Davis throws both men out of the ring and proceeds to grab the mic. He states that Sean Legacy comes back tonight and he’s facing Chip Day? He then states that he’s been on a winning streak in VPW, so where is his title shot? He’s beaten everyone. He then states that the “office” is protecting Legacy from him and tells VPW Management to take notice because until he gets what he wants, people will continue to get hurt. Davis exits.
The next contest is women’s action as Reka Tehaka faces Selina Rose. Referee: "Grandpa" Darryl Hall
Both women are making their Viral debuts.
Out first is Reka Tehaka who has been featured on AEW Dark to a decent pop from the crowd, followed by Selina Rose. Rose is the daughter of “Tie Dye Sunrise” James Johnson. Johnson accompanies her to the ring.
The match begins as both women lock-up. Tehaka whips Rose into the corner for a break. Both women trade blows in the ring as Rose hits a neckbreaker. Tehaka whips Rose into the ropes followed by a snapmare. Tehaka drags Rose to the ropes and chokes her ,proceeded by a stomp into the corner. Tehaka chops Rose, Rose reverses into forearms but is met with a powerbomb by Tehaka! Tehaka hits Rose with a running clothesline. Rose catches Tehaka off guard with a roll-up but Tehaka powers up with a samoan drop! Rose refuses to stay down. Rose places Tehaka in a triangle-choke but Tehaka powers out for the break. Rose wrenches the arm of Tehaka, but Tehaka counters with a headbutt into her finish for the win. Winner: Reka Tehaka Time: 8:07
The next contest is a tag team match, All Worm No Soul vs All-Star Special. Referee: Katrina Krize
Out first is the debuting All Worm No Soul (Brady Collins and Joey Ford) The crowd pops. Out next are fan-favorites All-Star Special (HMB Hanson and William Huckaby) The crowd goes wild, as they sing and clap along to Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer!
The match begins as Huck and Hanson play rock/paper/scissors to see who starts the match. Huck and Collins start things off with a lock-up. Huck wrenches the neck of Collins as the two chain. Huck then powers Collins up for a vertical suplex with IMPRESSIVE strength! Huck tags in Hanson and the two hit a double shoulder tackle ito an ax-handle from Hanson. Hanson tags in Huck. Huck whips Collins into the corner into a HUGE chop! The crowd reacts and screams one more time! Huck lays in another! He goes for a third but Collins counters into chops of his own but they don’t phase Huck. Huck then lands a third chop, knocking the soul out of Collins as he rolls out. Collins makes the tag to Ford as Huck tags in Hanson. Ford chains with Hanson and attempts a bear hug followed by a slap to the face into the corner. He tags in Collins who attempts a pelee on Hanson. Ford tags himself in, and begins wrenching the neck of Hanson then makes the tag to Collins as the two attempt to over-power Hanson. Hanson escapes and leaps for the tag but misses. Ford argues with Huck on the outside. Hanson hits Ford with a ddt and makes the hot-tag to Huck. Huck comes in throwing clotheslines followed by a powerbomb! He goes for the cover but Ford kicks out. Collins and Ford team up on Huck and hit their finish but Huck powers out! Ford then goes to the top for a frog splash and goes for the cover again as Hanson makes the save. Huck makes the tag and hits a moonsault off the rope onto Ford. Huck then tags in Hanson as the two hit their finish for the win. Winners: All-Star Special (Hanson and Huckaby) Time: 12:00
After the match VPW Tag Team Champions, The Dawsons (Zane and Dave) appear on the screens and congratulate All-Star Special but state that they are the best tag team in Georgia and their titles aren’t going anywhere and that they’d see them soon. All-Star is played out.
Next up is Zuka King vs Cutshall. Referee: Grandpa
Out first is Zuka King to boos from the crowd, followed by “The Monster” Cutshall to a massive pop from the crowd.
The match begins as Zuka exits the ring in fear. Zuka attempts to re-enter but is caught by Cutshall and Zuka stumbles into the corner. Cutshall lunges at Zuka but he reverses, angering Cutshall who screams and fires back. Cutshall hits Zuka with a ripcord forearm into a powerslam. VPW Alumni T.J. Boss then runs out for the DQ helping King as the two team up on Cutshall. The lights go out and “The Heathen” Krule makes his presence known and comes out for the save. Boss and King attempt to leave as Krule and Cutshall stare down, but the two exit to grab King and Boss as they seem to be working together! The match is officially restarted as Zuka King and TJ Boss face off against this new “Unholy” alliance between Cutshall and Krule.
Cutshall and Krule waste no time, chopping Zuka. Cutshall then hits a suplex and tags in Krule. Krule hits a suplex of his own. Krule punches Zuka as he and Cutshall scream in his face. Cutshall hits a running clothesline and stares Krule in the face laughing. Zuka makes the tag and Cutshall is hit by a train in T.J. Boss. Boss hits Cutshall with a scoop slam and tags in King. King whips Cutshall into the corner but is cut-off with a boot by Krule. Boss attempts to choke Cutshall and Krule chases him. Boss is now legal. Boss lays in huge clubs to the back of Cutshall, followed by chops. Cutshall reverses with a sit-out powerbomb and makes the tag to Krule. Krule comes in for the hot-tag, taking out Boss and King. Cutshall goes to the top but is cut-off by Boss. Krule and Boss brawl to the outside as Cutshall rolls Zuka up for the win. Winners: Cutshall and Krule Time: 24:12
Boss and King immediately attack Krule and Cutshall with chairs. The two then proceed to hit Krule’s head between two chairs! Krule and Cutshall lay lifeless in the ring as Boss and King taunt and leave.
The next contest is singles action as James Johnson faces Reyhan Inteus. Referee: Chris Wiggins
Out first is the “Tie Dye Sunrise” James Johnson to a huge pop from the crowd, followed by Inteus. Inteus receives mixed reactions.
The match begins as the two stare down. Reyhan shoves Johnson. Johnson locks up and forces Inteus into the ropes for a break. Inteus then charges at Johnson who sends him flying to the outside, followed by a suicide dive! Both men re-enter as Inteus ties Johnson in the ropes and lays in repeated chops. Official Chris Wiggins stops the match as Johnson is unable to defend himself. Inteus then releases Johnson from the ropes, and as official Wiggins attempts to check on him, stomps Johnson’s head. Selina Rose runs out to save Johnson but is also met with chops from Inteus and he hits her with his finish. Johnson rolls over to check on his daughter as Reyhan exits and VPW Officials check on the two. Johnson and Rose are escorted to the back. Winner: No Contest due to Ref Stoppage Time: 4:45
Up next is Owen Knight vs Alexavion. Referee: Grandpa
Alexevion makes his way to the ring, followed by Knight. The crowd pops for Knight. Both men shake hands and lock-up. Owen shoves Alexevion to the mat and props up in the corner boasting. Both men recenter as Alexevion wrenches the head of Knight. Owen counters into a headlock-takeover. Both men trade blows, countering each other's maneuvers into a double kip-up. The crowd rallies behind both men. Owen sweeps the leg and takes down Alexevion. Alexevion counters and whips Owen into the corner. He attempts a flip off of the top but Owen dodges. He then proceeds to land a missile-dropkick. Alexevion chops Owen, as Owen fires back. The two go back and forth. Owen whips Alexevion into the ropes for a running knee, followed by a stomp to the head. Knight then punches Alexevion into the corner followed by a hip toss into the cover. Knight hits a back-elbow and places Alexevion into a submission. Knight chops the back of Alexevion, as he fights back. Knight then lands a huge forearm, knocking Alexevion to the mat. Owen goes for a back-suplex but is reversed by Alexevion as he whips Owen over the rope into a huge 450 from the top! Alexevion hits Knight with a cannonball into the corner and goes to the top but misses. Knight charges as Alexevion moves. Knight counters into a back-suplex followed by a super kick. He goes for the cover to no success. Knight then goes for the GTS but is countered into a roll-up. Knight kicks out. Alexevion kicks Knight right in the mouth! The crowd chants THIS IS AWESOME! Alexevion goes to the top and hits a 450 but Knight puts his knees up! Knight then hits a falcon arrow for the win! Winner: Owen Knight Time: 14:22
Post match, Knight shakes the hand of Alexevion as the crowd chants please come back. The two exit.
A teaser video is then played for the next event: INFECTION VI on August 13th at the Sweetwater Gym in Thomson GA. This will be VPW’s 6 Year Anniversary event and their biggest show of the year. The video receives a huge pop from the crowd.
Next is the main event of the evening for the Viral Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship, Sean Legacy vs Chip Day. Referee: Chris Wiggins
Out first is the challenger, Chip Day, followed by the returning champion, Sean Legacy! The crowd pops HUGE and stands on their feet for Legacy!
The match begins as the two shake hands followed by a lock-up into the corner. Official Wiggins breaks it up. The two recenter and lock-up again into the corner and break into a game of pattycake. Both men lock-up once more as Chip wrenches the arm of Legacy. Legacy reverses into a hold but Wiggins breaks it. Chip wrenches the arm of Sean into an arm drag. Sean reverses into a headlock followed by a shoulder tackle. Sean reaches to help Chip up but he pushes Sean off. The two lock-up again as Sean throws a clothesline but Chip dodges. The two compete in a test of strength as Chip flips into an arm drag. Sean powers out. Sean goes for a cutter as Chip reverses. Legacy then hits Chip with a superman punch! Chip hits a missile-dropkick followed by a running knee, then proceeds to hit Sean with uppercuts. Sean reverses and whips Chip. Chip then hits Legacy with a clothesline! Legacy is down. Chip kicks Sean in the face, followed by forearms. Sean fights back with knees followed by a hurricanrana! The two trade blows into the corner and Sean hits Chip with running uppercuts into a falcon arrow! Sean goes to the top and hits a cutter followed by the cover but Chip kicks out! Legacy is in disbelief! Sean goes back up top but is cut off by Day. Chip goes up for a super-plex but Legacy counters as the two chop on the top and fall to the mat. Chip then hits a vertical suplex into a cover but Legacy powers out. Both men are down as the crowd applauds. As they rise, the two trade blows in the ring. Legacy then hits a 450 from the top into the cover but Chip stays alive! Sean is absolutely astonished! Legacy goes back up but Chip rolls out, sweeping the knee of Sean and hitting a do-see-do kick. Chip chops Sean into the corner, setting him up on the top. Sean reverses into a 619 but Chip moves. Chip goes up and hits a dropkick. Sean then hits a dropkick of his own and goes to the top. He attempts another 450 but Chip avoids it. Day then goes for the general knee but Legacy counters into a cutter followed by a 450 splash from the top. Legacy then lands a superkick followed by a tightrope cutter to pick up the victory! Winner and still Viral Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion: Sean Legacy Time: 21:07
