From Duke Ingraham:
I was recently inspired by Scott Hensley’s article on Georgia Wrestling History where he fantasy booked the current stars of ACTION wrestling against the past stars of NWA Wildside. This got me thinking how current wrestling rosters in the state stack up against each other, which has led to the first edition of Georgia Indy Fantasy Booking. Today we will look at a potential card if Southern Honor Wrestling faced off against Anarchy.
It became clear when trying to set up matches for this fictitious event that it would be far too big for just one night. Below is the Supercard for this event split over two nights. Note that there are several wrestlers that work for both promotions and I have either classified those workers to team SHW, team Anarchy, or neutral.
NIGHT 1
MATCH 1: Joe Black vs. Najasism vs. Skrilla the Great, in Ladder Match.
These are the three wrestlers who I classified as “neutral” for this event. Even though Joe Black is an Anarchy champion, he is a major player in Southern Honor and I could not see him picking sides in this event. Najasism has become a major player at both promotions and Skrilla works part time at both promotions. This would be an incredibly athletic match with 3 different styles in the ring. You could bet with these three in the ring that this would go down as one of the best ladder matches in the state in recent memory.
MATCH 2: Billy Buck (Anarchy) vs. Cyrus (SHW).
A straight up hard hitting hoss fight from two grizzled veterans.
MATCH 3: Scott Mayson (Anarchy) vs. Zach The Gear Guy (SHW), in an Arm Wrestling Match.
You know this one would start with a war of words on social media. Both fan bases would eat this up big time.
MATCH 4: Owen Knight (SHW) vs. Will Kaution (Anarchy)
A battle of each promotion's former champion. This would be a highly athletic match between two wrestlers who are highly over with their respective promotions.
MATCH 5: Happy Madness- Sunny Daze & Sal Rinauro (SHW) vs. The Undeniable- Shane Marx & Brian Blaze (Anarchy)
These two teams have met a lot recently in Southern Fried, but we have not seen it where Happy Madness are the heels and Undeniable as the faces. With all the creative forces involved in this match, and the roles reversed, I know they would give us something we haven’t seen that is also entertaining.
MATCH 6: Jacob Ashworth (Anarchy) vs. Gunner Miller (SHW) in a No Disqualification Match.
The two “Golden Boys” from each promotion and by far the most over workers. No way the ring would contain these two hard hitters. Both men are recently coming off bloody wins over Tank, and both would have something to prove to see who is the toughest of the two.
NIGHT 2:
MATCH 1: Hunter James (Anarchy) vs. Carlie Bravo (SHW)
A battle of two of the brightest young states in the state. This would be a great high energy match, and could possibly steal the show for both nights.
MATCH 2: Chip Day (SHW) vs. Nick Halen (Anarchy)
Two of the best technical wrestlers in Georgia. This match was teased at Southern Honor but a recent Chip Day injury prevented the match from happening. This match is a grapples fans dream.
MATCH 3: Proc “The Croc” Johnston (Anarchy) vs. Judas (SHW) in a Last Man Standing Match.
This could end up being the most brutal match of the event. Two of the hardest hitters face off in a last man standing match. Just imagine the carnage of these guys trying to beat each other down to the point where they couldn’t get up. Something tells me this one would take place all over the building.
MATCH 4: Jay 2 Strong (Anarchy) vs. Jordan Kingsley (SHW) vs. Duncan Mitchell (Anarchy) vs. Kyle Matthews (SHW), in an Ultimate Anarchy Match. (Ultimate X Match)
Anarchy wrestling brings their signature match to the event. Two cables suspended above the ring in a “X” formation, with the prize hanging above the middle of the ring from the cables. Four extremely athletic wrestlers competing in a highly dangerous match. The aerial skills of these four wrestlers would make this match an instant classic.
MATCH 5: The Beacon- Hanson and Azrael (Anarchy) vs. All Star Special- “Hold my Beer” Hanson and William Huckaby (SHW).
In this match we enter the Twilight Zone for the booking as the two alter egos of Hanson face off. I booked this one because the two versions of Hanson are VERY different from each other. It would be great to see the high energy and aggressive offense of All Star against the slow and methodical game plan of The Beacon.
MATCH 6: Gary Lamb (SHW) vs. Matt Hankins (Anarchy), in a Dance Off.
Since we are already in the Twilight Zone we might as well go all in. We all know there is no way this would ever happen but with both of them having unbelievable confidence and charisma, this would be comedy gold.
MATCH 7: Krule (SHW) vs. Geter (Anarchy), in a Steel Cage Match. Champion vs. Champion,
The cage is there not only to keep Contra out, but to keep these two monsters contained. These two in a cage on a stage this would result in a flat brutal bloody mess where only one of these giants would be left standing.
