From Jabari McIntyre:
Love, Respect and a downright good time was the overall theme for the ‘F The Titanic, Save the Iceberg’ Tribute Show. The Georgia and surrounding areas Wrestling Community came and made sure you knew that Iceberg was well loved. On a chilly evening in Canton, Murder One and Dan Wilson had an incredible task ahead of them, however they knocked it clean out the park!
There is no reason for a full report because it was just a great moment, celebrating a great man and I was happy to just be invited to witness everything. Here are a few notes and thoughts about my return to the Action Building.
- The Jimmy Rave tribute video was touching. We lost a man who meant so much to so many in the Southeast and taking a moment to reflect on him just felt good.
- “OH MY GAWD!!! WHAT IS JOSH WHEELER DOING AT THE ACTION BUILDING!!! For real, Josh pumping up the crowd in the only way he knows how set a great tone for the show to come. They do things differently in Atlanta, however the Canton crowd warmed up to it.
- Bryce Cannon and Dominic Stucky 2 Guys I really enjoy watching, just went out there and gave the crowd everything they wanted. Paddle Shenanigans, lots of insults by Cannon (That Alluring Youngling), Stucky looking smooth as silk...it was just entertaining AF. Stucky took an L but gained a fan or 2. Bryce Cannon is THAT Guy and will be for years to come.
- AJ Styles Video Tribute... Nice. Auctioning off Gloves he has worn In Ring...Even Nicer.
- Billy Buck vs Adam Jacobs 2 Guys who have been around a bit just knew what to do and did it well. It wasn’t gonna be pretty and both knew each other’s tricks. Good WRESTLING all around. Adam Jacobs wins.
- Bill Behrens takes the mic for a very nice Tribute and great stories about Iceberg. Also, he has the Gloves that AJ Styles is auctioning off.
- RUMBLE TIME!!!! Seems like everyone in the back wanted to get in and show love so they all came out for a Rumble. LET’S GET IT ON!!! *Cracking Knuckles*...You had The Grapplers, Sean Nelson, Proc Johnston, LAMAR DIGGS, D Money, Rose Gold, Vanderbilt, Sean Sims, Sean Nelson, Lizzie Blair, Peyton Blair, Jack Ledger, Nasty Nate, Chip Skyler, Eddie Honcho and Winner Nathan Mowery. It was a Battle Royal...Things Happened.
- Chip Day vs Duncan Mitchell Chip got cheers and told the crowd to stop it. Not gonna happen Sir. Duncan Mitchell is getting better at adapting to Chip Day’s style. This is the 6th or 7th time they have fought this year, so he BETTER start learning something...Or join Chip finally become his student. Chip wins. Big Duncan Energy still has a bit to learn.
- GiGi Dolan Tribute....Just sweet.
- The Approved (Nick Halen and Bobby Moore) vs All Star Special (William Huckaby and Hold My Beer Hanson Welcome back to the Action building All Star Special! The Crowd was totally behind them. The Approved didn’t care one bit. Hanson looks pretty dag on good in the ring and keeps getting better and better. The Approved did their best to put the hurt on Hanson. Huck cleans house later and even got a “You’ve Still Got It” Chant. The Approved won with Shenanigans only because they couldn’t straight up beat All Star Special. All Star Special shows why they are one of the best in Georgia and how much they are missed in Canton.
- “Big LG” Luke Gallows Tribute...TOO SWEET
- Caleb (With a C) Konley (With a K) vs Marvelous Michael Stevens Why is there a Milkshake chant going?? Caleb no want milkshake, oh well. Marvelous Michael brings SOMETHING to the yard because he must have his milkshakes! Marvelous Michael gyrates a lot in this match. Konley (with a K) has enough and starts giving a beat down. Randomly ‘Do you believe’ By Cher comes on and Marvelous Michael gets a mid-match boost. The comeback of all comebacks ensues, and Marvelous Michael works over Konley (with a K) so bad that even he starts to dance. This randomness was so Awesome I won't lie. Konley (With a K) finally snaps us all out of a trance and eventually wins the match. Wow. Just WOW!
- Main Event... Happy Madness (Sal Rinauro and Sunny Daze) and Joe Black vs David Young, Tank w. The Rev and Murder One Before we get started, Jeff G. Bailey comes out and introduces the Man Of The Night...THE NO PAIN TRAIN...ICEBERG!!!! Iceberg comes out to a standing ovation and lots of cheers! Match starts and all 6 Men just fight for about 10 minutes on the floor. Todd Sexton (The Guest Ref for the match) just has a seat because the match never started, and no one cared to enter the ring. Iceberg, who was being rolled around the ring by Matt Hankins, even gets into the action a bit. Very Fun. The match officially starts and just like on the outside, it was just 6 guys fighting to fight. You think Ref Sexton was going to stop them, nah, not in the slightest. Hell, even HE got in a few Superkicks just because. Murder One, David Young and Tank eventually all get splashes in and the win. It was Mass Chaos, and we all ate it up. After the match, The Rev gets on the Mic and puts his team over and then directs us to the monitors...
- Iceberg Tribute Video.... Ok I think something got in my eye because that video was downright Astonishing. Shout out to Dylan for putting that together. Incredible Work Sir!! Final Thoughts... Ok I admit that this was all over the place, however, how can you review a Tribute Show. You can’t. This night was just something to behold and again, very touching. Everyone lined up after the show just to get a picture or a hug or even just a smile with Iceberg. Good Shit!!! Murder One, thank you for putting this together.
OTHER Final Thoughts....Damn Gary Lamb....I was in the building you couldn’t even speak once. Damn Man...F You Too!
