From Alfred Feliciano:
June 24th was the date that Puerto Rican Wrestling was more alive and well than it had been in years. The oldest, most respected promotion on the Island, World Wrestling Council celebrated its 50th Anniversary at the historic Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
Prior to the event, fans from all over the Island and beyond came to the WWC All Access with their championships on display from the historic, original 1983 up to the current version of the WWC Universal Championship, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (the legendary 10 pounds of Gold, not the Big Gold which was used in the NWA, WCW through WWE Raw Brand) up to the historical and modern versions of WWC World Tag Team, the reactivated WWC Caribbean Championships to the now defunct WWC North American Heavyweight and North American Tag Team Championships. Old magazine issues of WWC when it was a member of the NWA, as well as custom-made figures of the legendary and current stars of WWC were on display. There was also music from Larry, EMG (El Mas Gufeao), and his salsa band.

In attendance were not just Juanma Lopez and his friends, La Revolucion Femenina (Raeven Marie, Reina Guerrera, Jomary Nunez, and "La Destructora" Nancy), IWA Florida owner: Jose Mateo and his family among others were also in attendance. WWC's 50th Anniversary Show was more than a success, It is a legacy that will have fans for many more years to come. Especially when WWE came to the Island this past May, with SmackDown! and Backlash from the Choliseo in San Juan has revitalized the Puerto Rican wrestling scene like never before in years. Especially with this year's Anniversary Show being more of a starting point for a brand-new era. To some of the haters who have never been to a live WWC regular or Anniversary event in person on the Island, my advice is to get off your asses, forget the damn keyboard and internet by staying at home. Pay for the ticket and enjoy the events in person. In other words, shut the F up and watch. To the loyal fans who came to the event in person, be from all over the Island and all over America, thank you for being there in person and showing love and support.
