(1) Chris Kamikaze defeated Ozzy Owens (with Harley Haven & Caeden Ooten) and Julius Pryor and Doug Sanders in a four way elimination match to become the number one contender for the YouTube Championship (8:48). Harley and Sleazy C commandeered the announce booth. The audio went haywire. Douglas pinned Pryor with a snapmare driver. Owens chokebombed Douglas to oblivion. Kamikaze had Owens locked in a Texas Cloverleaf when Ooten rang the bell. Referee Ft. Worth made it clear he had not called for it. Ozzy hit the CTE but Kamikaze kicked out. Ozzy threatened to end Ft. Worth's life. Kamikaze hit a hidden blade to set up the 450 for the 1.2.3.
Yes! Another Kamikaze vs. Ooten match. This was a constructive match all the way around marred by the production. Could barely hear Harley and C and the ring noise was extraordinarily loud. The hard cam was MIA. Douglas is throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks with his gimmick. Keep that snapmare driver as a finisher. I hope ProSouth keeps Pryor in the mix. He's got something but hasn't 100% honed in on it. Surely somebody smartened Void up that fatal four-way and elimination match are mutually exclusive terms.
Flashback Friday: Clips of the Shean Christopher's failed attempt to anoint himself as the King of the South and the hellacious beating he took from Ace Haven.
Wright Cats to the ring. Saul cut essentially the same promo I failed to mention in my report two weeks back. When you start from the bottom you need to have the best top (Bobcat) in the business. Saul's words not mine. Wright said Brandon Collum laid out a title challenge but didn't show up. Lights out. Enter Shean Christopher.
Christopher said what happened with Ace last week didn't mean anyone was safe He zeroed in on Bobcat for sticking his nose in Shean's business...
(2) Shean Christopher (with Ravenna Vein) defeated "The Big City Kitty" Bobcat (with "Big Ball" Saul Wright) in 14:18. Christopher schooled Bobcat with chain wrestling, then charged across the ring and stomped his heart through his chest. Bobcat responded with the huracatrana and a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Christopher tried to take a TO. Bobcat was on him with a baseball slide through the ropes. They got in a spirited brawl at ringside until Christopher rudely planted Bobcat on the ring apron. Wicked continued to fiddle with the replay function and still couldn't get the timing right. Meanwhile, Bobcat was getting stretched in the middle of the ring. Christopher dissected Bobcat's back. Bobcast' back was killing him but that didn't prevent his crucifix bomb out of the blue. Bobcat mounted a comeback.. Bobcat went for a quebrada and ate a thrust kick to the mush in midair. Christopher had Bobcat in his crosshairs when the lights went out. Mind games by Ace Haven? Bobcat capitalized with a small package, then broke out an Alabama Destroyer. Christopher kicked out. Bobcat tried for the moonsault. Christopher evaded it and locked in a.liontamer. Bobcat refused to tap (like he did to Collum last week). As Bobcat struggled to his feet, Christopher came flying in with the running headbutt to finish him off.
What a pleasant surprise this match was. Bobcat put it all together and had a solid 15 minute singles match. Christopher made him look like gold. Bobcat's offense looked better and he sold like his back he was dying. The stars seem to have aligned such that Wright Cats vs. Brandon Collum & ? ain't happening any time soon.
Ace and Amy Haven came to the ring. Ace played it off like wasn't there to get physical until he wheeled around and tackled Christopher. Ace dodged Christopher's running headbutt and went for a replay of the Endgame (Pedigree) he used to lay Christopher out for good last week but Ravenna pulled Shean to safety,
Ace's message was clear: If you come at the king, you best not miss.
The camera tracked T-Gage as he walked through the backstage area. Harley Haven offered Gage a spot in House of Harley for Trinity Cup. Gage said they were snakes. Gage next encountered Wright Cats. Wright asked Gage to team with them for Trinity Cup. Gage excitedly said yes, acting like they were Brandon Collum and Jed Johnson. When Wright informed them who they really were, Gage said no way, he was too old to be carrying rookies on his back.
Well played. The tracking shot ruled. Saul and Collum being one in the same is long running gag.
(3) Jake Franklin defeated Dameon Ceretone (with All-Out Champion Ayden Andrews & Christian Pierce) via DQ in 36 seconds. Franklin was all over Ceretone. Pierce pulled Franklin out of the ring for the DQ.
Atonement beat the living shit out of Franklin. Brother Azriel came to his aid but the numbers were still to much. KJ Impala evened the odds and called for what else? A trios match. Pierce was against it but Ceretone was game. A statuesque young black woman in the front row made fun of Ceretone's height.
(4) Atonement (Dameon Ceretone & Ayden Andrews & Christian Pierce) defeated KJ Impala & Brother Azriel & Jake Frankin in 10:58. The babyface were having their way until Atonement got their hands on Franklin. They systematically desroyed Jake. Ceretone turned Jake's chest into hamburger meat. Franklin's chest was beet red and he was grasping for air. He made the tag and laid down on the apron feeling pain, blues and agony for a long, long time. Impala did a whale of job cleaning house on Atonement. Ceretone pinned a thoroughly thrashed Franklin with Sleep the Deep.
Ceretone made a statement. The beating he dished out on Franklin was one of the most visceral exhibitions of violence I've seen on ProSouth. I keep feeling like Azriel's time will come but it never seems to.
Gage ran into Ceretone backstage. Ceretone said a lot of teams were vying for Gage's services. They went way back so Gage knew what decision he should make. Gage said, "I got ya, bro".
Gage came to the ring to announce his partners. He ran through the offers he'd received. Gage teased the notion he was going with his "old friend" Dameon but that was a swerve. Gage introduced Chosen Ones as his partners. Ace said it was bad day for the other 21 competitors in Trinity Cup.
(5) Boxing Match: Brandon Whatley defeated "Manbearpig" Ryan Anselman via knockout at 1:28 of round three. Scheduled for five two minute rounds. Dallas was in Anselman's corner. Fort Worth acted as Whatley's cornerman.
Round 1 -- Cautious start. Anselman controlling the action. Whatley got a good right hand through Anselman's defenses. 10-9 round for Anselman.
Whatley clubbed Anselman in the back of the head egregiously after the bell.
Round 2 -- Whatley knocked Anselman down with a looping right hand. Anselman came firing back and put Whatley. down with a combination. Anselman was moving in for the kill as the round ended. 10-9
Round 3 -- Whatley used a blatantly illegal standing hiptoss and went for his nunchucks. Dallas grabbed them out of the corner. Pryor ran from the back to send Dallas into the post. Referee Tubbs struggled with Pryor for control of the nunchucks. Whatley kicked Anselman in his nunchucks and gave him the deadly Kawada kicks. Down went Anselman face first, to be counted out.
How silly of me to think the angle with Anselman would end with the one match. His selling was spot on. Now ProSouth Champion Dallas is in the mixwith former champion Whatley guaranteed a shot at him by virtue of winning the March Madness rumble.
Queen's Court: Commissioner Amy Haven with Harley Haven and Cameron Keast. Harley was wearing a neck brace and brought Caeden Ooten with her. Amy laid down the law. If Ooten got physical with Cam, she would sign the contract without further thought and ban him from ringside. Since Harley was 17, the match would not happen unless she signed the contract. Harley guilt tripped mom, really laying it on thick. How could she subject her daughter to a ladder match with Keast?
Cam admitted everything Harley said last week was true. She was not the victim. He didn't start the blaze but he turned their issues into an inferno. His pitch to Amy -- her and her husband Ace confronted their demons last week. Allow him the opportunity to overcome his. The irony of begging Queen Amy to teach their daughter a brutal lesson was not lost him. Better him than her parents.
Amy looked like she was inclined to sign. Harley hugged her mother tight. Amy put her arms behind Harley's neck so she could sign the contract behind her daughter's back. Harley was appalled.
Harley took a futile stab at those precious masks as they ascended to the ceiling.
Take one last look the masks, Harley. Next week, I'm burning down the house FOREVER.
An amazing closing segment. Twisted family drama to hilt. All three were great here. I popped for the twisted logic of Cam's better him than her parents line. Amy signing Harley's death warrant behind her back might the best ProSouth moment of the year.
