(1) Donnie Primetime defeated Brandon Whatley (with Julius Pryor) in 7:22. Pryor tried to sneak attack Primetime before the bell and inadvertently superkicked Whatley. Pryor was ejected for blatant interference. Whatley pinned Primetime with the scissors kick. Referee Blackson's hand hit the mat three times. He ruled (correctly) that Primetime kicked out at the last split second. Primetime covered Whatley after hitting a stunner. Blackson ruled (incorrectly) that Whatley was pinned when he got a shoulder up. Primetime told Blackson: "You're new at this. Primetime doesn't win like this." Primetime won like this.
Decent match. Very strange finish.
After the match, Gilbert appeared on the ramp with his arm in a sling and handed an envelope to Primetime, who not very surreptitiously stuck the envelope in his tights. Wicked claimed Gilbert ejected him from the commentary booth at intermission last week. He got a pay envelope so he went home.
Even stranger goings on between Gilbert and Primetime.
Gilbert accompanied Alexander Lincoln to the ring for the next match. Lincoln said the Haven regime was bad for business. Gilbert was the future of ProSouth and it was privilege to officially affiliate with the AAC. Gilbert said it was an honor to have the champion aligned with the AAC.
Gilbert said he decided not to fine Amy Haven an additional 2K for striking him in his handsome face. Instead, since Amy's face broke his hand, she would have to pay his medical bills.
Skewering the AAC is easy heat. It helps that Gilbert is pure sleaze.
(2) Jake Franklin defeated YouTube Champion Alexander Lincoln (with Patrick Gilbert) via DQ in 4:09. Lincoln retained the title due to the disqualification. Franklin kicked out the Lincoln Log (leg drop). Franklin got rolling with the Movie Gallery (basement blockbuster) so Lincoln blatantly bashed him with the belt.
Franklin said he would see Lincoln later tonight because he was part of Team Ace in the main event.
Gilbert tried to recruit Franklin for the AAC. Franklin gave him a one-word answer.
Franklin's progress in the ring is a tribute to determination. He has willed himself into becoming a credible pro wrestler.
(3) Brother Azriel defeated Julius Pryor to retain the All-Out Championship in 9:03. Pryor had a shitload of payback coming to him and Az was dishing it out. Az sent Pryor halfway to Jacksonville with a Biel throw. Az tried for the Wood Grain. Pryor escaped doom by backdropping out of it and torched Azriel's knee with the Pryolyzer. Pryor was relentless in his attack on Az's left knee. Az made a comeback on one good leg and managed to pull off his long distance fallaway slam. Pryor delivered a Pryolyzer to the right leg. Darkthorne said Azriel didn't have a leg to stand on. Az was an easy target for Pryor's kick attack. He went up top for the Shaolin fists. Az goozled Pryor on the landing with a death grip and planted him with a choke slam to retain.
Loved it. This pairing has been gold. The way they sell for each other. The way their offensive attacks mesh. Pryor taking out both of Az's legs was a deft touch.
(4) Team Ace (Ace Haven & Jake Franklin & Joe Wood & Roma Miller & ???? with Amy Haven) defeated Team Harley (ProSouth Champion Caeden Ooten & Ayden Andrews & Alexander Lincoln & Tsunami & Scott Spade with Harley Haven & Douglas Sanders) in 26:04. Keast did his ring intro to chants of "Free Cam" before being locked in a cage at ringside for the match. Wicked described Harley's team as an ominous group of rapscallions. The Havens were in their Halloween best -- Ace as the Joker, Amy as Harley Quinn OG and Harley as Hello Kitty. Ace's team was short one competitor. Ace threw the first blow to initiate a wild brawl with Sanders also getting involved. Andrews debuted an inverted GTS on Franklin and eliminated him with a Stamp of Atonement in the second minute of the match. With fire in his eyes, Roma stalked Sanders with a steel chair but Tsunami snatched it out of his hands. Sanders interfered and Tsunami pinned Miller with a spinning neckbreaker. Five minutes in in and it was five against two in favor or Team Harley. Ace got speared in midair by Ooten and was almost pinned. Ace was getting his ass kicked until he hit a top rope cutter on Andrews who was seated on Ooten's shoulders. Spade took Wood out with the Copenhagen Kick to prevent a tag. Ace was against five opponents with nobody left in his corner.
Christian Pierce appeared on the ring apron to take the tag from Ace. Pierce ran wild. He eliminated Tsunami with the Gallows and zeroed in on Andrews. They started beating hell out of each, spilled into the crowd and both were counted out. Team Harley isolated Wood. Lincoln made a mad rush into corner and got rolled up by his brother. Lincoln was a sore loser and gave his brother a low blow and laid him out with double arm DDT. Spade pinned Wood with a one foot cover. It was Ace alone against Spade and Ooten. Spade took exception to referee Blackson's pin count and decked him. Ooten got to close to the cage as he was beating on Ace and took a fireball to face from Keast. Harley spit the green mist at Ace and got Ooten instead. Ace had Ooten pinned but Blackson was still down. Ace revived Blackson and gave Ooten the Ace cutter for the three count. Spade locked Ace in a sharpshooter. Gilbert came to ringside and ordered Void to call for the bell. Void wouldn't do it so Gilbert hauled Void out of the ring and knocked him out. Amy decked Gilbert and started pounding on his fat ass. With both refs now toast, Spade gave Ace two stunners for a visual fall. Third ref Tubbs crawled into the ring and counted but Ace kicked out. Ace hit the Endgame (pedigree) on Spade to win the match.
Keast was released from the cage and rushed into the ring to embrace Ace. Keast was overcome with emotion as Ace put a Chosen Ones t-shirt on him.
With the crowd chanting "please shut up" at the top of their lung, Gilbert said Amy Haven had put her hands on him for the last time. He was revoking he promoter's license and he would be the promoter of next week's ProSouth show.Fun match, great energy in the ring and from the crowd. Was it overbooked? Of course, this is ProSouth. The visual impact of the babyfaces being badly outnumbered for almost the entire match was compelling. The ecstasy of the Chosen Ones reunion to the depressing agony of Gilbert's takeover was manipulation of audience emotions at its finest. Katie Lindsey did a amazing job of shooting this without a gimbal no less. Bonus point for Wicked's use of the word rapscallions. Ace as the Joker was pitch perfect given how his year has gone. Pierce as Ace's mystery team member was tremendous and he was sight for sore eyes with the shape the ProSouth roster is in.
