From Robert Truesdale:
Here are results from Viral Pro Wrestling's presentation of SUMMER OF RECKONING, held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Warren Road Community Center in Augusta, Georgia. (Editor's note: official attendance a company record of 750+)
Officials for the event: Daryl Hall and Jarrod Fritz
- Prior to the opening bell the most recent episode of THE MAYNE EVENT, hosted by former VPW talent Chris Mayne, was shown on the jumbo-tron so as to catch fans up on the status of things in VPW. This was followed by the company's hype video after which ring announcer Jonathan Feltner welcomed the fans in attendance.
- VPW Heavyweight Champion “The Handsome Devil” Drew Hood came to the ring and removed Feltner, exclaiming that the fans weren’t saying “BOO!” but rather “DREW!” Hood went on to say that this show deserved to have a championship match on first and demanded James Johnson come to the ring, after which he blamed Johnson and the fans for a change that had to be made to the contest which prompted Hood to bring out Mila Johnson as a special guest referee in place of Official Fritz.
1) VPW Heavyweight Championship Match: “The Handsome Devil” Drew Hood (C) def. James Johnson - The match ended with Hood delivering a finger poke to James with Mila making a quick count. Hood began to celebrate, having apparently duped everyone involved of apparent strife amongst the members of S.E.E. Just as he did so VPW owner Joshua Hancock came to the ring and said that he had a plan on how to handle S.E.E.’s antics.
2) LODI & "That Dude" Jon Davis def. The S.E.E. ("The Handsome Devil" Drew Hood & James Johnson w/Mila Johnson) - After their loss to LODI and Davis the members of S.E.E. argued in the ring. Mila attempted to slap Hood at one point but he would block the strike. Just as he did so the lights in the arena went out and a vignette featuring Gusatvo was shown during which he warned Hood to be ready as he would be coming for the VPW Heavyweight Championship at the company’s August 9, 2025 event, INFECTION IX: PRYME TYME.
- Prior to the next match Feltner would invite VPW Women’s Champion “Your Hero” Airica Demia to the ring. Feltner said that he had received unfortunate news as Demia’s opponent Kylie Alexa was unable to make the event. Feltner did have good news, though, as a replacement opponent for Demia had been found.
3) VPW Women's Championship Match: "Your Hero" Airica Demia (C) def. "Leader of Chaos" Amanda Kiss - As Demia received adulation from the crowd she was blindsided by Mila Johnson attacks. Hancock and the officials would intervene but not before the damage was done. - A vignette involving “Pretty” Rich Wise and Hancock was shown on the jumbo-tron. Wise clamored for a match to which Hancock informed him to go home as the card was full.
- The next contest was to have been between “Hollywood” Hunter James and “The Working Team Captain” Owen Knight for the #1 contendership for the VPW Outbreak Championship. Before the match could get underway Wise and Wade Adams injected themselves into the proceedings. Hancock would return to ringside in order to change the match stipulation to a fatal 4-way between James, Knight, Wise, and Adams.
4) VPW Outbreak Championship #1 Contender's Match: “Hollywood” Hunter James def. “The Working Team Captain” Owen Knight, “Pretty” Rich Wise, and Wade Adams - The following match was to be a continuation of the feud between Josh Magnum and John Skyler for which Skyler would select Magnum’s opponent. After Magnum had come to the ring a recorded video from Skyler was shown in which he revealed Magnum’s opponent to be “The Big Bad Kaiju” O’Shay Edwards.
5) Josh Magnum def. “The Big Bad Kaiju” O'Shay Edwards via Count Out - Intermission - Official attendance: 750+ - Next event: August 9, 2025 - INFECTION IX: PRYME TYME (VPW’s ninth anniversary event to be headlined by “Super” Sean Legacy vs. “Pryme” Cedric Alexander)
6) VPW Outbreak Championship Match: Billy Brash (C) def. "Your Messiah" Alexander Lev
7) VPW Tag Team Championship Match: The Supa Starz (Jimmy Wild & Tommy Mars) (C) def. T.N.T. (Terrence & Terrell Dudley)
“Super” Sean Legacy def. “Carolina Reaper” Jackson Drake via Disqualification - Drake came out with the WWE Evolve Championship. Match ended controversially as Alexander Lev, Drake’s former tag team partner in Hateful X Faithful, attacked Legacy. Lev looked to Drake to join him on the beatdown of Legacy but the WWE Evolve Champion was having none of it, throwing a scrap of his wrist tape in Lev’s face before returning to the locker room. Legacy was able to recover during Lev and Drake’s exchange, going on to deliver his finishing maneuver SHAMBLES to Lev not once but twice to the joy of the crowd.
- Legacy then addressed the crowd, talking up VPW’s next event INFECTION IX. He praised Cedric Alexander for all his successes in the professional wrestling business but went on to say that their match would be in his house and his ring, and that he would show Alexander why he will always be SUPER.
