From Jeremy York:
The Superstars of 12 Gauge Professional Wrestling were back at the Coosa Valley Fairground for a spectacular night of action! Of the 108 (unofficially) in attendance, many were not only first time attendees of 12 Gauge, but also first time live wrestling show attendees. The card featured the Semi-Finals and Finals of the inaugural Championship, a 1st Blood Match, a Gauntlet, a 2 out of 3 Falls Tag Team Street Fight, plus a square off of two of the top stars in Georgia!
Match 1: “The Body Snatcher” Hakeem Young vs. Chad Skywalker: Before the match officially started, Hakeem decided to make some “friends” at ringside that ultimately lead to one (an older female fan at ringside) chasing him around ringside. Once both were in the ring, the bell sounds as Chad delivers a quick boot followed by a DDT and a quick 1 count on Young. Clothesline over the rope by Young sending Skywalker to the floor. They battle and exchange blows before getting back in. Hakeem with the impressive Snake Eyes on Chad into an STO for a 2 count. Skywalker with the small comeback using chops, a running kick strike and a bulldog into the turnbuckle. Chad with a second rope crossbody that Young rolled through, turning it into a double stomp, another 2 count. Skywalker up quickly, utilizing a running kick in the corner on Hakeem, then a sliced bread #2 out of the corner. Young with a Go To Sleep knee strike, countered by a super clothesline by Chad. Young tries to kick Skywalker who catches his boot. Hakeem goes for the enziguri only to catch the official with the kick instead! Young with the low blow kick on Skywalker. Young rouses the ref in time to count the 1-2-3 (while his legs were on the bottom rope of course) and the win. After the bell, Skywalker tries to plead his case about Hakeem’s cheating to the ref and crowd before Rocky Shaw walks to the ring. Chad says this feud is not done and he wants Young at the next show in August in Calhoun. Rocky says it sounds like a good idea to him. Young throws a deep stare at Skywalker as he saunters to the back.
Winner: Hakeem Young via pinfall
Match 2: Championship Semi-Final—Walker XIII vs Rico Bravo: Lockup out of the gate shows the distinct power advantage of the bigger Walker. Rico goes spilling to the outside, Walker gives chase. Walker sends Bravo into the ring post, then throws him back under the rope. He pulls the top half of his body onto the apron and drops an authoritative leg on the torso of Rico. Action back in the ring with Mr. XIII delivering a massive boot to the face of Bravo. He covers him for a 2 count. Bravo finds his way to the back of Walker for a sleeper hold, dropping the big man to a knee, then a second. The Memphis Monster was far from out of it though with a running back smash of Rico in the corner. Walker missed a Vader Bomb resulting in a plethora of running European uppercuts from Bravo. Bravo with a sliced break #2 on Walker for a near fall. This only energized the giant who responded with an around the world black hole slam for the 3 count, moving on to the Finals of the Championship tournament. After the bell, a masked assailant attacked Walker XIII, targeting the left arm with many attacks including mashing the arm between a chair and the ring post causing the monster to wail in pain. This brought delight to the attacker who ripped off his skull mask revealing himself to be “The Prodigal Son” Ryan Marx! Rocky to ringside wanting answers. Marx said “monster aren’t real, but the devil is” before grinning like the Cheshire cat and meandering to the back.
Winner: Walker XIII via pinfall
Match 3: Tyler Smith & Kyle Matthews vs Chris Lightning & Chris Gainz (2 out of 3 Falls Street Fight)—These four have battled in various promotions and tandems for almost 20 years. They started together and now the next chapter culminates in a contest for the ages! Gainz and Lightning came to the ring, thought about it, then turned to make a second entrance: this time carrying a ladder! Kyle and Tyler were not as excited as the fans as they attack their foes before the bell. A donnybrook ensues involving all four. Chris squared perform a hip toss on the opponents, sending them flying across the ring. Gainz calls out to a member of the crowd to clear out, the fan obliges as he attempts to Irish whip Smith across some chairs. Tyler reverses at the last second sending CG spilling into 3 rows of chairs! After he crawls back to the ring, a quick check provided an update that the chairs were ok! While all this was happening, Matthews and Smith got a quick fall on Lightning. After the first fall went to them, they fastened Lightning to the lower ring rope, incapacitating him with an all out assault before focusing on Gainz. Double team combo ending in a picture perfect dropkick from the master Kyle Matthews leads to a 2 count. Smith whips Matthews and Lightning with his belt then reaches under the ring to present a mystery bag and some scissors into the fray. He runs towards Gainz in the corner with the scissors (Kids, do NOT run with scissors) only to miss and stab the turnbuckle. Gainz takes out the bad guys. Random kid hears the crowd yell for Gainz to get the scissors for Lightning and takes them to Lightning on his own! Now both Chris’s are upright and motivated. Jumping gut buster by Lightning give the good guys the equaling 2 nd fall and we are tied at 1 fall a piece! Now it is the Chris’s turn to whip their opponents. Chairs are set up with a closet door set on top. Now the mystery bag’s contents are revealed to be…TACKS! The bag is poured onto the door adding a level of crazy only seen in wrestling. A double suplex of Smith is thwarted by Matthews. The bad guys execute a double power bomb on Gainz, crashing him through the tacks on door on chairs. Lightning with another jumping gut buster. Another melee. Bodies everywhere. Lightning with a third jumping gut buster, holds on to Smith while Gainz pushes a ladder on top of them. He then leaps from the top rope with a double stomp on the pile. Chris with the cover for Fall number 3 and the win! Post match the good guys grab the microphone to tell the crowd that all four of the competitors in the match all started together almost 20 years ago. Also that this could be Tyler Smith’s last match. The crowd cheers for Tyler and gives him a standing ovation to which he is humbled by. Both Chris’s give their praise then Tyler comes back to grab the mic. He tells the crowd thank you and that there is no way he does this for this long without fans like them, before exiting to more cheers and chants.
Winners: Chris Gainz and Chris Lightning via pinfall
Match 4: Championship Semi-Final: “The Prodigal Son” Ryan Marx vs GITM Kilgore—After his attack earlier in the night, Marx still had to win his Semi-Final to make it to the match versus Walker XIII. Standing in his way was “Glitch In The Matrix” Kilgore. Kicks early on by Kilgore in an attempt to take Marx height and weight advantage away. Kilgore with a controlling wristlock on Marx. Ryan reverses then catches the clothesline in the corner on GITM. Irish whip then a chin lock and back elbow from Marx. He chokes Kilgore on the middle rope before dropping a leg drop on him from the apron. Vintage spinning powerslam by Marx then Kilgore finds a second wind! Running forearms smashes then another from the second rope. Ryan has had enough, unleashing the final crushing blow for the 1-2-3. Along with the trademark grin, he gestures to the crowd while heading to the back.
Winner: Ryan Marx via pinfall
Intermission: We are introduced to the newest trainee in 12 Gauge Pro Wrestling: Roxxy! She struts to the ring, says a few words to the crowd, then helps Rocky find a winner in the costume contest. Winners of the contest were a young man dressed as Jey Uso (Yeet!) and a young lady (dressed as Ronda Rousey) who was also having a birthday.
Match 5: Gauntlet Match—This was a lottery draw contest where you were only eliminated by pinfall or submission. There were 9 total participants. (Try to keep up). We start with the “Outlaw” Tyler Veach and Matthew Jay. Jay had the crowd whipped into a frenzy as he leaped over the rope only to be smashed by Veach. This set up the hanging DDT from the middle rope and Jay was quickly eliminated. Up next was Space Cowboy, a real fan favorite. He and Veach battled for a while until entrant number four entered the fray in the form of Big Bad Wolf. Wolf used his power and agility to toss both Veach and Cowboy around for a bit. Wolf with the spin splashes in the corner, then big slams of his opponents. Veach rolls out. Entrant Five out next, it’s Rhome Senju. Rhome tosses Space Cowboy through the ropes. Wolf and Rhome exchange strikes then Senju with the German suplex on Wolf. Wolf with the running headbutts from his hands and knees on Rhome. JDR enters the match as competitor 6. Veach back in joining forces with JDR to take out Wolf. Brandon enters are participant 7. He superman punches Veach before missing a senton on the Outlaw who then eliminates Brandon. Entry 8 is the “Panama City Prince” DRP who came in like a house on fire. So much high energy and each running uppercut or similar strike had every bit of the intended effect. He clears house with slingblades for anyone who gets in his way. Rhome catches DRP with the Northern lights suplex with a bridge for a 2 count. Great blue thunder bomb by Wolf on DRP. JDR lands a spinning elbow to eliminate the Space Cowboy. JDR adds a crazy DDT and Veach is eliminated. Troy Carter is the final entrant. He clears house as he enters sending people flying in every direction. Spinning power slam rom Senju on Big Bad Wolf and he is eliminated. Gargano style DDT from the outside on Rhome. Rolling code breaker from DRP on JDR, adding him to the list of superstars no longer in the match. Michinoku driver on DRP from Wolf. DRP with the leaping DDT and a 2 count. Springboard cutter from DRP. Many eliminations later, it’s Troy Carter and DRP as the final 2. The duo square off countering maneuvers from each other for a good amount of time. Finally after so many near falls from each, it’s Troy Carter with the last stand and the win!
Winner—Troy Carter
Match 6: 1 st Blood Match (You can only be pinned or submitted once you are bleeding)—“Rockstar” BK Bennett vs “Pale Rider” Corey James—Atlanta Rick, a longtime fan of 12 Gauge and big personality, is your Special Guest Referee. BK jumps the gun for an attack on Corey before he can get to the ring with an interior door. They brawl through the crowd all the way to the concession stand. Corey is sent flying into the jumbo screen and gets up with a good gash in his forehead. Corey battles back while shooting BK into the ring post a few times. Bennett gets to his feet with a gash on his forehead now. Corey has his back leaning on the outside post when Bennett runs full steam ahead with a leaping side splash, moving the ring a good many inches over. They both make it back into the ring. Bennett with a trio of powerslams on James. James finds a second wind, throwing a trio of clotheslines at Bennett. Jumping cutter for a 2 count. A sunset flip bomb in the corner on James by Bennett get another near fall. Tyler Veach to the ring to help BK! They double team Corey and present the door James brought earlier into the match. Winner—BK Bennett via referee stoppage
Match 7: Main Event—Ryan Marx vs ? (for the Inaugural 12 Gauge Championship)—Rocky to the ring. He seems like he has no choice but to award the title to Marx because Walker XIII may be too injured to compete. Then some different music hits and we see…Walker XIII! Clutching his injured arm, but more possessed and focused than usual. He tells Rocky he is good. Rocky turns to Marx and says since you woke the monster, this is a No DQ match now! The Memphis Monster catches Marx early. After a quick beat down he garners an early 2 count. Walker has a chair. Marx reverses the attempt and sends the monster crashing into the chair. Ryan using the chair like a tag partner to choke and take out Walker. Crowd is clearly behind Walker more than they are against Marx. Loud chants for Walker erupt. Marx works over the previously injured arm of Walker. They brawl to the outside. Ryan with more arm damage to Walker. They both find a chair and the joust is on! Marx cannot take the vibration of the chairs clashing, drops his chair. Walker throws his at the face of Ryan who tumbles down. Marx with the crimson mask now. Walker misses a Vader Bomb attempt in the corner now that both are back inside the squared circle. Ryan with the eye gouge. Walker throws four sledgehammer-like punches at Marx for the 2 count. Ryan misses a splash on Walker, Walker does not miss his splash on Marx. Ryan to the outside to gather up at least 15 chairs (I stopped counting) that pile up in the middle of the ring.
