The superstars of Bullpen Pro Wrestling were back at Gold Dust Park looking to
continue the July 4th celebration with some big time matches and action-packed card!
The “Empress of Echoes” Summer Blackfyre is your Ring Announcer for the evening.
She introduces the new GM of Bullpen, “Cowboy” Johnny Brown. Referee for the
evening is Connor Parker.
Match 1—Trey Jordan vs BK Bennett: Big “BK” chants at the start. Jordan takes control
with a headlock then finds himself rolling to the outside to avoid a Bennett attack. BK
decides there is no time like the present and launches himself over the ropes onto an
unsuspecting Jordan on the outside! Jordan to his feet first and unleashes his brawling
skills on BK before slinging his opponent into the ringside post. Back in the ring, Trey
absorbs a flying knee attack from Bennett then powerbombs BK with authority for a 2
count. Jordan attempts an avalanche back splash that Bennett just narrowly rolls out of
the way of. Pair of enziguris followed by a crisp spear leads to a two count for Bennett.
He follows that kickout with the “404” splash for a 2.73 count and immediately sets up
the jumping cutter from the corner that is dodged by a now recovered Jordan. Trey with
the sliding back elbow to the back of the skull of Bennett for the 1-2-3 and the win.
--Winner: Trey Jordan via pinfall
Match 2—Rob Adonis (c—w/ Ryan Wyndell) vs Dante Diamond (for the Southern
Heavyweight Championship): Classic battle of the young whipper-snapper versus the
wily veteran. Off the lockup it’s Adonis with the shoving throw of Diamond. Dante takes
a run at the ropes to try a shoulder tackle. Rob deflects the attack, sending Dante to the
mat. Diamond finds some momentum while riding the back of Adonis while
implementing a sleeper hold until the ring vet shrugs him off his back. Rob with the
catch of a leaping Diamond into a massive slam then suplex into a snap mare before
locking Dante in a rear chin lock. USA chants spark up again (meant to support Dante,
while infuriate Ryan at ringside), confusing Adonis. Rob in turn uses his confusion to his
own advantage, striking Diamond with a textbook enziguri and T-bone suplex. A
spinning spinebuster leads to a 2.57 count as Dante shows he has a little left in the
tank. He then mounts a comeback utilizing a slingblade, series of dropkicks then an
avalanche dropkick for a close 2 count of his own. Diamond with the running elbow drop
and leg drop for another 2 count. Finally, Wyndell has had enough and club Dimond with
his British Empire flag while Dante was on the top rope for a disqualification of Adonis.
After the bell, Adonis and Wyndell with the double team of Dante until Christian Taylor
runs down to help Diamond fend off the attackers! Taylor and Diamond stand tall with
the American flag in the end!
Winner—Dante Diamond via DQ (Rob Adonis retains the Southern Heavyweight
Championship)
Match 3—Cody Windham vs Christian Taylor: This match starts with a flex-off between
both competitors. First Cody would strike a pose to some cheers and more boos. Then
Christian would take his turn to more cheers. Cody would stretch in the corner only to
turn and see Christian doing pushups in across the ring. Cheers early on were really
more 60-40 Taylor, a lot more even than expected. Windham employed many stall
tactics like rolling to the outside, walking around, yelling at ringside fans to frustrate
Taylor. Finally Christian would give chase to get Cody back in the ring and they lockup.
Go behind from Cody countered into a go behind from Christian who executes an mat-
based slam. Taylor with the clothesline on Windham sending him spilling to the outside.
Taylor with the flurry of strikes culminating in the Dusty Rhodes elbow for a finale! Cody
finds his footing however and reverses Christian into the post. Windham with a barrage
of punches then dumps Taylor into the ring while capitalizing with a rear chin lock and a
2 count. Christian with a backslide for a near fall. Side slam by Christian for a 2.34
count, Cody with a counter then a clothesline with authority for a 2.4 count. Overcastle
from Cody on Taylor, goes for the pin which is reversed by Christian and seems to tie up
Windham a bit. Referee counts to 3 and Taylor is the winner. Cody looks on is in
disbelief as does some of the crowd. After the bell Windham decides he will settle it his
way…laying the boots into Taylor. BK Bennett and Dante Diamond run down to stop the
onslaught. “Cowboy” Johnny Brown comes out to confront Windham who says if things
do not change soon, he may just stay home.
Winner—Christian Taylor via pinfall
Match 4—Brad Lynch & Shane Noles vs The Wonderboyz (Aaron & Ethan Dallas):
Wonderboyz are here to avenge what Noles and Lynch did to Bull Buchanan last time at
the 1 year Anniversary show. Big pop and reception for the Dallas brothers, crowds just
love them. It also helps when the fans detest your opponents. Lot of monologues before
the bell by the heel team. Then the bell rings, we start with Aaron Dallas and Brad
Lynch in a lockup into a headlock. Into the ropes for a shoulder tackle from Aaron to
Brad. Lynch tags Noles. Crowd calls for Aaron to tag Ethan, to which he happily obliges.
Shoulder tackle from Shane on Ethan. Then he does it again. Double pectoral
submission attempt from Ethan on Noles to the delight of the crowd. Shane counters a
flying Ethan attack into a World’s Peachiest Slam for a 2.3 count from the official. Tag to
Lynch as he and Noles use a double flapjack on the younger Dallas. The heels distract
the referee and provoke Aaron to get in so they can apply chokes and cheap shots on
Ethan. Aaron realizes it is the wiser move to be on the outside apron and returns there.
Brad with a masterful suplex followed by more double teaming as Shane tags back into
the action. Noles with the spinebuster for a near fall. Ethan hears the crowd and it fires
up his attempt to get his brother into the match! HOT TAG to A-Aron who is a house of
fire on both his foes! The elder Dallas with a Perfect-Plex on Lynch. All four competitors
are in the ring as the Wonderboyz clothesline Brad and Shane only to get a 2.5 count.
Aaron and Ethan set up for a Heart Attack except as Aaron holds Shane in place, it’s
Ethan with a leg lariat for finish off the double team move for the win! The crowd goes
wild! In West Georgia, the Dallas boys are some of the most popular talents around.
Winners—The Wonderboyz (Aaron & Ethan Dallas) via pinfall
Match 5--Alexander Lincoln vs Jacob Ashworth (c): Lockup to start with Alexander
having the power advantage early. Pie face from Lincoln to Ashworth. Next lockup, it’s
Ashworth pie-facing Lincoln. Shoulders in the corner and a turnbuckle smash of
Alexander by Jacob followed by a side Russian leg sweep for a 2 count. Ashworth with
an arm drag and a slam to get a 2 count of his own. Rollup from Jacob countered into a
clothesline from Alexander. Lincoln catches clubbing blows from Jacob while on the
apron. Lincoln with a running boot strike, big powerslam and a leg drop for another
close fall. Ashworth powers back into it with a side slam for a 2.79 count. Lincoln fights
back and they both trade punches. Jacob dropkicks Alexander who rolls to the outside.
That is where this one ends as both combatants do not hear the referee’s counting and
are counted out. After the bell, Lincoln attempts to smash Ashworth with his own title
and misses! Jacob with the cutter and both men are spent.
Jacob Ashworth vs Alexander Lincoln ruled a Double Count Out.
Match 6—Main Event: AJ Black & JT Paradox vs Zack Buchanan & Mystery Partner:
Jaxon Slade was the originally schedules partner for Zack yet it was announced early
week he would not be in attendance. Instead we were all surprised to see Jaden Vain
join the younger Buchanan in the fight. Zack and JT start. Paradox with a wristlock that
Buchanan reverses into a headlock. JT with the counter of his own and it’s back to the
wristlock. Quick tags early from JT and AJ as they work over Zack in the corner
eventually settling with JT using an armbar to ground his foe. AJ tags in for a blistering
chop of his former childhood friend Zack. A powerslam and more chops send Zack to
the outside. Once back inside the squared circle we see a double team super blue
thunder bomb started by AJ and finished by JT on Vain for a short 2 count. A chase at
ringside results in the heels putting the boots to the good guys. Zack with tremendous
arm work on Paradox while tagging in Jaden who unleashes a running kick in the corner
that had the TV champ in a world of hurt. While the official is keeping AJ on the apron,
blind tag to Zack. Flurry of tags between the heels to further keep Paradox on flat on the
mat away from a fresh Black. Zack with some dance moves to celebrate the work so far
to control their counterparts. HOT TAG to AJ who seems motivated to catch up for lost
time and the donnybrook is in full on mode! Brad Lynch and Shane Noles hit the ring to
attack JT and AJ. Wonderboyz run in to even the odds. Just as the heels are gaining
the upper hand…we see the debut of the newest member of the Bullpen roster, the
Levinger! The masked man slides into the ring and goes straight for Brad Lynch! Noles
is too busy yelling at fans to see his partner’s knee being worked over big time. By the
time he realizes what is happening it is too late and the Levinger is on his way out of the
building with Lynch screaming in pain holding his left knee.
JT Paradox & AJ Black vs Zack Buchanan & Jaden Vain ruled a No Contest after
outside interference.
Takeaways:
-Who is The Levinger and why did he go after Brad Lynch?
-The Wonderboyz with a big bounceback win. Are they the obvious #1 Contenders for
Lethal Gainz Titles?
-300+ packed out the building. Not a bad number given it was the day after a major
holiday
-Bullpen crew is always on point and does a really good job keeping the crowd into the
action. From Ring Announcer to Referee to even Security is great.
-Trey and BK had a great opening match up that showcased some of what these two
can actually do. Maybe we see these two lock up again in the near future for what could
be a great rivalry
-Christian Taylor is as advertised. Saw him putting up chairs and more after the show
was over. Plus, his in ring work is high level. His dance partner tonight in Cody
Windham is a real pro and it shows. Hope these two face off again soon.
-Diamond got thrown all over the ring by Adonis yet kept getting up. Solid performance
for the young superstar against a great ring veteran. Also looks like Dante’s beef with
Ryan Wyndell is far from over
-Paradox, Black, Buchanan & Vain are all potential cornerstones for the future build of
Bullpen. They have chemistry with one another and can help bring out the best of each
other every time they are in the ring.
-“Cowboy” Johnny Brown as GM is working so far. He seems to have turned over a new
leaf and plays his new role as straight as he ever has anything.
-Two older ladies charged the ring before the Wonderboyz/Lynch, Noles match ready to
demolish Brad. It was highly entertaining watching security and the rest of their party try
to convince them it was not a wise move.
Results:
-Trey Jordan defeated BK Bennett via pinfall
-Dante Diamond defeated Rob Adonis via DQ (Adonis retains Southern Heavyweight
Championship)
-Christian Taylor defeated Cody Windham via pinfall
-Wonderboyz defeated Brad Lynch & Shane Noles via pinfall
-Alexander Lincoln vs Jacob Ashworth ruled a Double Count Out
-JT Paradox & AJ Black vs Zack Buchanan & Jaden Vain rules a No Contest
