From Jeremy "The Impact" York:
The walls of the Church Without Walls were nearly blown off by the exciting night of action from the superstars of Premier All-Star Wrestling! Fans packed the building out (250) and showed out for their favorites in an evening full of surprises. Ring Announcer/General Manager: Jason Boyd Referees: Zander, Butterbean, Caleb.
Match 1: (Referee Butterbean) Mad Street (Sal Rinauro & Michael Stevens) vs The Wonderboyz (Aaron & Ethan Dallas)—Aaron Dallas and Michael Stevens start the match for their teams. They lock up with Aaron getting first jump. He tags Ethan and they use a double jumping back elbow to drop Stevens, quick 1 count. Ethan and Stevens take turns working the other in the corner with quick strikes and smashes. Aaron tags back in. He throws Stevens into the corner then drops to all fours as brother Ethan using his as a launching pad to splash Stevens in the corner. Michael finds his way to his partner Sal. They execute a double side-Russian leg sweep on the elder Dallas for a 1 count. Sal grabs Aaron’s arms and tries to stomp through him. Stevens tags in to deliver some devastating knee strikes and gets a 2 count. Rinauro back in with elbows in the corner, then Michael tags back in the match. The veteran team continues with quick tags and attacks, keeping Aaron Dallas grounded and unable to get to his brother Ethan. Just as it seems Mad Street is about to travel to win avenue, Aaron battles back and TAGS ETHAN! Stevens tags in to be legal as well. Ethan is a house of fire, springing around the ring with a speedy and air laden attack on his opponents. Aaron adds some splashes in the corner for Mad Street as well. The Wonderboyz catch Stevens with a DDT/Flatliner combo for a near fall. Michael rolls to the outside, but not before Sal gets a blind tag making him the legal participant for his team. As Ethan gears up for a Topa Suicida, Rinauro slides in the ring to cut off the attack with a takedown of his own. Superplex attempt it thwarted, but Aaron tags back in during the attempt. Sal drops Aaron on the middle rope for a 619, Stevens follows with a Codebreaker for a 2 and 15/16 count. A super kick party breaks out with Rinauro putting Aaron into a reverse standing Boston crab while Stevens dropped a knee on the back of his neck. They get a 2 and 29/32 count. Ethan finally completes the Tope to the outside on Stevens then Ethan to the top rope as brother Aaron has Sal in a tombstone piledriver position. Ethan does a front flip and helps Aaron drop Sal in the tombstone piledrive for the Wonder Driver! Then it’s time for the Wonder Attack (Heart Attack/leg lariat) for the 1-2-3!
Winners: The Wonderboyz (Ethan & Aaron Dallas)
Match 2: (Referee Butterbean) Pat Roach (w/ Wrestling’s Pastor Donald Jaykes) vs Big Andy—Two of the biggest competitors in the Premier locker room locked horns to determine their dominance. While Andy used his size, Roach used his vintage ring smarts to counter. They lock up with neither garnering much advantage til Pat targets the top of Andy’s foot with the bottom of his own to the delight of Jakes (and his trusty tambourine). Andy battles back with big headbutts. Roach catches Andy for a takedown, then it’s a picture-perfect leg drop for a 2 count. They battle all over the ring back and forth. Pastor Donald starts to look a little worried. Big Andy feels the crowd and goes for the big finish, but Roach catches him in the eye. A big running bulldog later and it’s a big win for Roach and Jaykes.
Winner: Pat Roach (w/ Donald Jaykes)
Match 3: (Referee Caleb) Mad Man Mayson vs “Wrestling’s Messiah” Alexander Lev (C-Southeastern Championship)—Mayson with the beatdown of Lev at the jump. He throws Alexander into the corner to work him over there. Lev reverses and delivers some chops and strikes of his own. Man Man dumps the Messiah to the outside, then pursues him to smash him more. Mayson drives Alexander’s head into the ring poles multiple times, sending the Southeastern champion reeling. Mayson used his chops to cut through Lev’s chest before rolling him back inside. The Messiah found his footing and surged back into the contest with his speed and a leg lariat against the ropes. Just as he goes for another big blow, Mayson cuts him off with a big boot to the skull. Lev was not done yet though as he hits a running STO on the Mad Man. Lev to the top for a splash, Mayson moves at the last minute. Mad Man Mayson musters up all the power and strength he can for a decapitating clothesline for the win! After the match, currently Heavyweight Champion Stevie Ray Frost runs out to double team Lev. AJ Black runs out with a chair in hand to run off the duo.
Winner: (and NEW Southeastern Champion) Mad Man Mayson
Match 4: Simon Sermon, Justin McKenzie & *Mystery Partner* vs Lethal Gainz (c-Lamar Phillips, Chris Gainz, Ryan Marx) for the 6-Man Tag Team Championships—We have all five announced participants in the ring, with the crowd wondering aloud who the sixth could be. Simon grabs the mic to say he found the perfect partner and his music hits. Lethal Gainz all turn to the entrance-way to see who is coming out. While they are turned around Referee Zander Whoric steps to the middle of the ring to rip off his pants and shirt revealing his wrestling ring gear underneath! Zander is the mystery partner! As Lethal Gainz turns around confused, Simon, Zander and Justing jumps into them with all six in a melee! All three members of Lethal Gainz get thrown into each other then dropped, seated in different corners. Each of the good guys do a “stink face” on all of Lethal Gainz! As they recover, it’s Chris Gainz and Zander Whoric to start the match officially. Gainz slams Zander, tags Marx. Marx with a delayed standing suplex, tags Lamar. Phillips with a longer delayed standing suplex. Then it’s time for a tag team clinic on isolating your opponent curtesy of Lethal Gainz. Lamar gets a 2 count on Zander before he kicks out. Another melee breaks out. Sermon superplexes Gainz from the top rope, then rolls him up after hanging on and they get the upset win and titles! As the new champions celebrate, all-around good guy Rick Page charges out to the ring with a microphone in hand. He shows the match contract to the referee while saying he sees the signatures of Phillips, Gainz, Marx, Sermon, and McKenzie….but not of Zander. Therefore, this match is a non-title match and Lethal Gainz should get their titles back. General Manager Jason Boyd to the ring and he is presented with the same information. He says to Sermon, Whoric and McKenzie that they need to hand the championships back to Lethal Gainz, which they reluctantly do. Lethal Gainz and Page celebrate on their way to the back. Winners: Simon Sermon, Justin McKenzie, & Zander Whoric (non-title match)
Match 5: (Referee Joseph) Brother Azriel vs Eddie Hendrix (For the last spot in the Mega Rumble)—Equal lockup with neither getting the best of the other. They trade a handful of shoulder tackles where neither are taken off their feet. Eddie snap mares Azriel, then a rolling cannonball and running senton for a quick 2 count. He traps Azriel in the ropes for the massive clubs to the chest then a fall away slam for another 2 count. They trade bone-rattling chops. Hendrix uses a reverse back elbow to combat Azriel who fights back for some major damage of his own to Eddie and a 2 count. Hendrix back in control, finds a powerful sidewalk slam for the victory!
Winner: Eddie Hendrix (for the last spot in the Mega Rumble)
Match 6: Frankie Valentine (w/ Tweety) & “King of the South” Ace Haven (w/ “Queen of the South” Amy Haven) vs Xander Seabolt & Austin Thorne (c-Tag Team Championships)—Frankie with Tweety came out first and barely got through the entrance-way before Thorne and Seabolt were laying the boots to him. Ace finally makes his way out to help even the odds. We find out Frankie is injured and he is helped to the back. Ace tells Jason Boyd and the official that he will go it alone against both opponents! Bell rings and it’s Haven having his way with the champs utilizing winding hip tosses and arm drags. They roll outside, but Ace decides they will get no break from his barrage of attacks while leaping over the ropes to splash them both! Once back inside however, it’s the standing champions who take over the match with quick tags and attacks. Big boot from Thorne, then a bigger drop kick for a 2 1/3 count before Ace kicks out. Austin with the drop toe hold on Haven, Seabolt follows with a thunderous elbow for another near fall. Xander uses a hanging neck breaker. Ace, feeling the cheers from the crowd led by his queen Amy, gets to his feet. He ducks a couple clotheslines and springs from the second rope with the Ace Cutter! He looks to his corner to see his partner for the match Valentine back on the apron with a bandaged elbow. Ace tags Frankie who is a man possessed, leveling Seabolt and Thorne with strike after strike. Both Haven and Valentine super kick Xander who rolls to the outside leaving a prone Thorne. Austin is hung by his feet on the second rope as his opponents execute a gut buster slam! Frankie with the pin for the 1-2-3 and we have NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! As the Havens and Valentines celebrate, Rick Page with Lethal Gainz stroll out to the ring to say “we got next”. The soothing sounds of The Wonderboyz hit and they appear to remind Jason Boyd that actually THEY “got next” and it can be for the Tag Titles OR the 6-Man Titles. Ace grabs the mic to solve the whole delima: At the next show (Saturday September 6th—Calaway Livestock Pavilion in Buchanan) it will be Lethal Gainz versus The Wonderboyz plus a Mystery Partner versus Ace, Frankie and a Mystiery Partner for all of the Titles!
Winners: (and NEW Tag Team Champions) Ace Haven & Frankie Valentine (w/ Amy Haven & Tweety)
Match 7: Mega Rumble-- OXP and Justin McKenzie start the match with a lot of speedy strikes and maneuvers. Jumping knees, martial arts kicks and spinning attacks from both to the delight of the crowd. Current Heavyweight Champion Stevie Ray Frost is next to the ring. Justin and OXP double team him for a bit with double kicks and an impressive High Low attack. Ace Haven (w/ Amy Haven) joins the fracas. Chops and running cannonballs for Frost and Justin put Haven in a good spot early on. Former tag champ Austin Thorne hits the ring. Frost has splintering chops for everyone and hands them out like it’s Christmas morning. Ryan Marx is next out. He wastes little time eliminating a woozy Justin McKenzie. Ethan Dallas joins the rumble and smashes all who get in his way with double forearms. OXP and Ethan square off. Ace sees the opportunity to send Austin Thorne home early and does. Aiden Andrews slides into the ring. Eddie Hendrix makes a little bigger entrance with a variety of release suplexes. Ethan Dallas is sent flailing over the ropes by Stevie Ray Frost. Second generation superstar Zack Buchanan makes his way to the ring. Up next is Lamar Phillips (w/ Rick Page) who drops many others with booming assaults. Phillips forcefully “helps” OXP over the ropes and to the floor. Simon Sermon struts through the entrance-way and immediately finds Lamar to continue their feud. Hendrix dumps Marx over the ropes. “Southern Outlaw” Sean Nelson strolls the join the melee to a big ovation. Frost tells Zack Buchanan “not today kid” and eliminates him. Chris Gainz enters the match, then Aaron Dallas. After a small time, A-Aron and A-C-E sends Gainz unceremoniously to the ringside area. Xander Seabolt storms out to dish out punishment for all his opponents. Haven is almost eliminated but uses his veteran knowledge to hang around a bit longer. Zander Whoric shoots out to the ring. Aaron Dallas cannot fight off Seabolt enough and is eliminated. Sean Nelson sees his chance to get Seabolt out and does. Lamar is knocked out of the ring to the apron. As he gets to his feet he is met by familiar foe Simon Serman who uses a deep lip lock to eliminate Phillips and send his into a frenzy! Lamar tossed half a dozen chair towards the ring as the crowd roars in laughter and cheers! Frost, unamused by it all, tosses Simon out behind a fuming Phillips. Biggest surprise entrant of the night “Hollywood” Hunter James saunters to the ring. AJ Black is the next participant and he wastes no time clotheslining Frost over the rope and following him out to eliminate them both. They continue to brawl to the back. The Warden lumbers to the ring in a furious rage! Everybody else in the match (except James who retreats to prop himself on the top rope) tries to attack Warden to get him out. This plan backfires as Warden sends them all flying! Then Whoric runs at him, who is sent to the outside like a lawn dart. Warden makes sure Hunter James and Ace Haven follow Xander to the back as he eliminated them as well. Eddie Hendrix overpowers Warden and catches him just off-balance to shoot him over the ropes to the floor. Aiden Andrews sees his chance to get Eddie out and does. This leaves Sean Nelson and Aiden Andrews as the final two. After a pretty good battle it’s the “Southern Outlaw” who stands tall and pockets a cool $1,000 for his efforts!
Winner: “Southern Outlaw” Sean Nelson
Next show is September 6 at Callaway Livestock Pavilion in Buchanan
Takeaways:
-That building was packed. 150 or so chairs, full section of bleachers plus a couple dozen standing fans showed up and showed out to support their favorite superstars. Very active and very loud all night long.
-If you like great tag team wrestling (like me) teams like Lethal Gainz, Wonderboyz, MadStreet and even Ace/Frankie are exceptional to see live.
-Big Andy really brings a lot to the table. Roach is so on point right now though that once he dipped into the repertoire of veteran skills, Andy had no answer. Jaykes was solid as always on the outside to keep Pat pepped up and actually stayed out of most of the action.
-I stated to anybody that would listen beforehand, Mayson has been tearing up people elsewhere including winning championships and that Lev should be on notice so avoid that here. Mayson got the better of it tonight and added another title.
-Zander as the surprise third to face Lethal Gainz was great! The swerve at the end was even better. For all upset fans remember this: it was a non-title win, yet they beat the champs by pinfall so they still get a championship match.
-Azriel is still so good and can work as good as about anybody. Hendrix is just that powerful and good as well.
-New champs Ace and Frankie will be awesome to have in that 9 man winner take all match at the next event. Frankie finds great ways to win and Ace can be a killer if you underestimate him. Never count out having their Queens Tweety and Amy at ringside either.
