The buzz Southern Honor creates and builds with their shows and between shows is second to none. With the LumberJack match tonight, there only be a few other matches on the card. The new SHW Champ, AC Mack will address the crowd. As told to me, the official crowd count at the Action Building was 560. Large segments of the crowd rarely sat down, particularly in the back rows, so that made my counting a bit harder, so I'm not going to throw shade on that number. I was informed that the buying of bleachers is being investigated, and that will help the people in the back rows. The ring announcer is Pat McDermott and on video commentary are Brandon Benefield and Adam Howell.
AC Mack promo
AC comes out to the ring accompanied by Lee Johnson. The crowd reaction is mostly boos and jeers with a few claps of applause. AC starts with a history lesson complete with visual aids. The first slide is the beatdown by the New Era at the end of the first Mack/Angels. Mack realized that there is safety in numbers. The second slide is Alan delivering a Wing Snapper to AC. The third slide is of AC leaving the ring in a stretcher. The crowd cheered loudly at that. The fourth slide is of the New Era standing tall on the stage. The fifth slide is the ring shot of AC standing next to Kenny Omega. Next set of slides is of Alan taking everyone's finishers. The next set is of Jericho and other wrestlers up on the stage and the New era without Alan. AC says that this was when he realized that NE abandoned Angels, and AC was able to work his magic with the NE. Next slide is of Dani delivering a low blow to Alan at the last show. Next slide is of AC grinning in the face of Alan. AC says that he was looking into the face of a loser. Loud, boring chants are trying to drown out AC. The final slide is of AC with the New Era up on stage, and he says that the fans had better get used to that image.
As noted elsewhere; this was a loooooooooooong promo. Not AC's best work, nor other people's, learn from it and improve. Wow, that's a life lesson right there!
AC leaves the ring and confronts a fan (CB Suave) dressed up as HBK, who was heckling him at ringside and holding up signs. AC rips his sign away. Security is holding HBK back, and AC asks HBK if he wants a shot at the champ. AC tells him to get in the ring and calls for a ref. AC makes this a match for the title.
AC Mack (c) vs. HBK (CB Suave) for the SHW Championship
AC tries to attack before the bell and HBK moves and tries for a quick pin. HBK gets several pin attempts, but AC is able to get the action to the outside where things turn in AC's favor. Back in the ring, HBK is mounting a comeback with fists and kicks. HBK goes up top for an elbow drop, but AC rolls out of the ring. HBK dives on him. HBK lands the top rope elbow and gets a near fall. HBK is tuning up the band, but AC ducks it. AC tries for the Mack 10, but HBK squirms out and hits sweet chin music. 2 and 9/10's count. HBK goes for another kick, but AC pulls the ref in front of him, and HBK stopped the boot right before hitting the ref. AC shoves the ref into the corner and kicks HBK below the belt while the ref was facing away, hits the Mack 10. Time 5:19. HBK chants from the audience. B-, CB's has been in attendance at other SH shows, dressed up and with signs, so the crowd was used to seeing him in the crowd.

Gary Lamb promo
People around the ring are holding up signs that say "Hold your fork!" Gary starts off saying that he gets messages consistently from people around the state, bitching and moaning on how the non-wrestling guys won. He says that he got a letter of congratulations. He delivers a warning to the promotion that was recently sold that they need to run in another town. He says that the promotion is still just in diapers. Great promo.
Dani Jordyn (with David Ali) vs. Shalandra Royal
Royal offers to shake hands, but Dani refuses. Lindsay Snow's music plays, but she doesn't come out. It does distract Dani, and Royal rolls her up at 1:18. A video plays on the screen with Snow cutting a promo on Dani. Dani and Ali take out Royal. Ali holds up Royal for Dani to attack, but Trever Aeon's music plays, and he comes out to make the save, and that sets up the next match. C+.
David Ali vs. Trevor Aeon
Ali tries to attack, but Aeon catches him in with a t-bone suplex. A brief interlude outside the ring. Aeon is pressing the attack, but Ali is able to toss him ringside where Ali throws Aeon into the barricade. Ali is trying to slow things down. The crowd is willing Aeon to comeback. Aeon is throwing elbows left and right. Ali grabs the rope to break up a pin. Ali catches Aeon as Aeon was rushing in and gets a near fall. Dani tries to interfere, but Aeon chases her off. Aeon gets the pin at 6:40. Ali loses again at SH. Aeon gets a good amount of love from the crowd considering that only a few know who he was, B-.
A video promo plays from Glacier for the show on Sept 6th. He says that there will be a scene to be shot for a movie in production. Ernest "The Cat" Miller, will tag with him.
Owen Knight (with Lee Johnson) vs. Joe Black (with William Huckaby)
The crowd is on its collective feet for Joe's entrance. Joe tries for a spear right off the bell, but Owen jumps over it, but can't dodge the rebound lariat. They fight along the ring apron, teasing some moves, Joe drops Owen with sidewalk slam onto the apron. They struggle along the barricade. Joe reverses Owens toss into the barricade. Owen catches Joe as he tries to enter the ring. Joe gets Owen in a submission, but Owen reaches the ropes. Owen on the attack. They start trading elbows and forearms. Joe gets a near fall with a sit-up brainbuster. Owen gets Joe in a single leg Boston crab. Joe kicks Owen off, and Owen crashes into the ref. Joe has the visual three count on Owen. Joe checks on the ref and Lee hands Owen a chair. Huck grabs the chair from Owen as Joe was getting up and rushing at Owen. Joe stops in time, but Owen is able to roll up Joe with his legs on the rope at 9:41. The ending seemed rushed and a bit awkward to me, C+.
After the match, Huck plants Joe and then delivers a chair shot to Joe's head. Huck rips off his Joe Black shit and throws it on Joe. The refs are trying to keep Joe away from Huck. Huck sends Joe back down and grabs the chair. Huck lands another shot to the head of Joe. Both chair shots were unprotected.
Intermission.
RumbleJack :the winner gets a chance at the SHW Championship. The rules are: Entrants every two minutes, Eliminations over the top rope, People eliminated must leave the ring area until the final two competitors, then everyone comes back and act as lumberjacks. The final two have a match where you can win by pinfall, submission, or being tossed over the top rope.
Joey Lynch is # 1, Corey Hollis is #2.
Hollis comes out wearing a sling. Hollis says that he had to have another surgery and they had to put more pins in his hand and will be out until the end of the year. He says that his first match back will be for the SH championship. The bell had rung when Corey came out, and Sunny Daze is #3, and he grabs Corey and tosses him into the ring. Joey and Sunny team up and Joey lands a moonsault, and Corey rolls out of the ring. Joey and Sunny fight. Joey knocks Sunny threw the ropes and Corey comes back in and attacks Joey.#4: Ric Flair's music plays, and CB Suave comes out dressed up as Ric and starts chopping on Corey. Ric is eliminated after doing the Ric over the top turnbuckle flip, and Corey knocks him off. Lee Johnson is #5. He and Sunny mix it up.
Tyler Rivera is next out. Joey is ruling the ring at the moment. James Bandy is next out. Little Fabio is next. Fabio is using Lee to take down Bandy, but Fabio eats a superkick from Joey. Fabio is getting the most reaction from the crowd apart from Joey thus far. Brady Pierce is out next. He tells Fabio to get out. Corey attacks Fabio and tosses him out. The crowd gives Corey the Asshole chant. Corey and Brady are running the ring. Brady and Bandy are trading blows, but Corey helps Brady eliminate Bandy. Sean Legacy is out next. Tyler is eliminated. David Ali is out next. Brady is a beast.
Holy shit, Chip Day is out with the Georgia Wrestling Crown Championship and he's attacking everyone. The ring is filling up. Clyde Braddock is out next. He and Brady at trading blows. Kevin Ryan is out next. Braddock is eliminated. Ryan and Lee are squaring off. Ali is staying on the outside. Joe Black's music plays, but William Huckaby comes out and casually strolls to the ring. Everyone's trying to get a piece of Huck, and he lays everyone to waste but Brady. Logan Creed is out next. Corey and Brady want an alliance with Huck to take out Logan. Logan throws Corey through the middle ropes and eliminates Huck and Brady. Hollis slides under the ring. The others team up on Logan, but Sunny clears them off. Logan eliminates Sean. Logan attacks Sunny. Owen Knight is out next. He and Ali attack Sunny, and Logan tosses them off. Sunny spears Logan. All three members of the New Era are in control of the ring. Ashton Starr is out next, and he goes after The New Era. The number game is too much for him though, and he's beaten down. The NE is attacking Logan now. Sugar Dunkerton is out next, and he slides through the legs of all the members of NEW. He and Ashton are dancing in the ring to the Cha Cha Slide. Fun, that got a great reaction from the crowd. Ashton tosses Suge over the top rope.
Sal Rinauro is out next. Sal is in his creepy mode tonight. Sal takes down Logan. Air Paris is out next. Logan quickly eliminates him. Dani Jordyn's out next, and all four members of NE are on Logan. They kick him under the ropes, and they focus on Sunny. Aeon is out next. The New Era eliminate him. Ravenna Vein is out next. She, Logan, and Sunny enter together and face off with NE. Ali eliminates Vein. Day was eliminated at some point, but I missed it. Jordan Kingsley is out next. Ryan tries to throw him over, but Jordan is able to come back in. Joey is giving NE superkicks. Robert Gibson is out next. He tries to eliminate Ryan, but Dani comes up from behind and tosses him out. She gives Joey a low blow. CB is back out as the Ultimate Warrior, and he cleans the NE up and press slams Ali and then splashes him. Ali is able to toss him over the top but eats a boot from Logan. Logan tosses Ali threw the middle ropes, realizes his mistake, and climb out after him. Matt Lynch comes out, and he's the final entrant. He and Joey face-off, but NE attacks them both.
Reset: Logan, Sunny, Ali, Jordan, Ryan, Lee, Ashton, Dani, Joey, Matt, and Corey are left. Jordan and Ryan square up with the Lynch Bros, and they eliminate each other. NE are all over Sunny. Logan makes his way into the ring where NE are trying to get Sunny over. Logan tosses Sunny and NE all over at once. It's Ashton and Logan facing off. Logan gets Ashton over the top rope. Corey's been hiding under the ring, and he tries to sneak back in for a pearl harbor, but Logan spots him. Corey tries to leave, but the lumberjacks come out and force him back into the ring. Time was 1:04:12. B.
There were some dead spots in the first 20-30 minutes. As told to me, sometimes you don't realize how long 2 minutes can be. A decent concept and match, it would have been nice if the ring announcer announced the eliminations for the crowd in the back rows because most of the first four rows were on their feet for most of the match. And before anyone says anything, I did have a decent view but still missed a couple of eliminations because I was trying to look and type at the same time.
Corey tries to escape again, but the jacks prevent him from leaving. Brady starts attacking the other jacks. Ali makes the mistake of getting into the ring, and Logan tosses him back over the top. The ref was distracted with Ali and didn't see Logan toss Corey over the top rope. Corey grabs his brace and decks Logan with it, and the ref counts to three. Time 2:25. C+
Gary Lamb comes out and disputes the result and makes the main event for the Sept show a triple threat of AC Mack, Corey Hollis, and Logan Creed.
This show was very much a bridge to start some angles and continue others. Much like the Spanish Inquisition, no one was expecting Day to come out for the LumberJack match. Suave got over with the crowd with his gimmick tributes. Aeon got a good reaction from the faithful around the arena. The main event for the September show with the heel/heel/face dynamic that makes me ponder some of the shenanigans that will ensue.
