From SVW:
Southern
Violence and Wrestling presented its Halloween show “I Spit On Your
Grave” at Southern Brewing Company in Athens Ga on October 26. Paid
attendance was 147. This was a taping for FITE TV.
Match 1- Bobby D vs “Pop Star” Johnny Romano vs Irving West
This was a fast paced triple threat that saw lots of faced paced
action from all three competitors. There seemed to be an uneasy
alliance between Bobby and Romano to the delight of the fans as they
showcased some improv double team offense on West. In the end, one half
of the SVW tag team champions,Bobby D prevailed. POst match saw Romano
deliver a low blow to Bobby and leave disgusted to the dismay of the
SVW faithful.. Winner: Bobby D
Match 2- Intergender Hardcore Elimination Match- “The Face Eating Demoness” Ravana Xin vs Ryan Murdoch vs Aja Perrera
Murdoch
grabbed a mic before the match and stated that the SVW fans were at
fault for making these women think they were qualified to step into a
man’s business. Murdoch stated that when all was said and done they’d
both me saying “Me too, had my ass kicked by Ryan Murdoch” That comment
seemed to get under the skin of the Athens Ga crowd as a chorus of boos
rang out. Perrera and Ravana were none too impressed as the match
started with some stiff strikes and kitchen implements being used on
Murdoch. Murdoch was eliminated first after a modified DDT by Aja.
The crowd was happy to see him go,and the ladies got down to business
with Ravana eventually getting the pinfall to continue her winning ways
in SVW.. Winner: Ravana Xin
At
the last SVW show, Aiden called out Effy and said he wanted some of the
cloud he was living on, and tonight he got his wish. After an epic
entrance by Effy which saw the SVW fans singing along with “Goodbye
Yellow Brick Road” the two got down to business. Both competitors
showcased some impressive chain wrestling to start. The crowd was
firmly behind Effy and clearly wanted to see Wright humbled for his
brash and brazen ways. This was not to be, after the “Hoss of the
South” nearly decapitated Effy with an unbelievably stiff lariat that
echoed throughout the brewery for the pinfall. Winner: Aiden Wright
Match 4- SVW Heavyweight Championship- Axel Rod(c) vs Charlie Anarchy
For
the past 3 shows, The beloved champion has had his hands full with SVW
owner “Big Gun” Dave Hadden and his client Charlie Anarchy. Anarchy was
victorious in a fatal four way in September earning him this title
opportunity. The match stipulation was that if Axel retained, we would
receive five minutes in the ring with Hadden. Introductions were made
and Hadden was conspicuously not at ringside. It soon became apparent
why. The finish saw Anarchy become irate after the champion kicked out
of his patented brainbuster. The challenger sat Axel on the top
turnbuckle and removed the canvas and padding from the ring exposing the
wooden boards. Axel fought out of a top rope brainbuster attempt just
as the casket to be used in the main event was brought to ringside by
the ever dangerous Mosh Ya Brady who was dressed as some type of demonic
nun. The casket opened to reveal “Pretty Boy Killer” Justin Legend in
some type of darker incarnation, sporting disturbing face paint and
gothic priest getup. Legend sprayed the champion with a bloody mist
which gave Anarchy a second chance at the brainbuster on the wood for
the pinfall.
Winner and NEW SVW Heavyweight Champion- Charlie Anarchy.
*Post match saw several fans enraged to the point having to be restrained by security.
Match
5- SVW Hardcore Title- (Fans bring the weapons “Casket of Death Match”)
“Pretty Boy Killer” Justin Legend w/ Mosh Ya Brady ( c) vs Jamie
Holmes
The
rest of the canvas was removed for this one and the ring apron was
lined with the weapons and the casket was placed in the middle of the
ring. To win, the casket had to be closed and chained and padlocked
shut. The fans were firmly behind Holmes as they were still in shock at
the ghastly actions of Legend and Brady at the close of the previous
match. This one was insane off the bat. Holmes opened up Legend with a
cheese grater and a barbed wire bat. Legend was bleeding heavily.
Legend fought back with a guitar to the head of Holmes. The casket was
opened and two bundles of light tubes were laid across and Legend hit a
mafia kick which sent Holmes through the glass into the casket. Legend
called for brady who produced a roll of firecrackers. Legend lit them
and dropped them into the casket on top of Holmes. Smoke filled the
brewery, and Holmes miraculously prevented the casket from closing. One
fan was legitimately in tears. Holmes somehow mounted a comeback and
poured a jack-o-lantern filled with tacks into the casket and gave
Legend a head full of bbq skewers, followed by a lariat into the casket
full of tacks. Brady entered the ring with a sickle but was cut off by
Holmes and thrown on top of Legend inside the casket and Holmes closed
and chained it for the win.
Winner and NEW SVW Hardcore Champion: Jamie Holmes
Holmes
had his post match celebration cut short by Ryan Murdoch who charged
the ring and put a plastic bag over the head of the new champion. And
spray-painted the SVW Hardcore title.
SVW will return to Southern Brewing Company Dec 14 for another Fite TV taping.
