I didn't know what to write here. Usually, I type stuff about the show that interested me in attending and list the matches. Didn't happen this time, not sure why.
As noted by myself and others, the show after a big or supershow, in this case, SHW's First Anniversary show, Still Standing, sets the stage and tone for the promotion going forward. There's a reason that the Raw following Wrestlemania is usually the highest-rated show of the year. People want to see what the new magic will be.
On paper, there were a lot of things to get excited about this show, Ashton Starr and Cam Carter, The first of the Best of Three tag match series between The Lynch Mob and Not Yet Rated, AC Mack trying to regain the SHW Championship from Logan Creed. But for whatever reason, I wasn't feeling it. Burnout maybe? I've been to a lot of shows this year, perhaps the magic level had decreased for me.

Cam Carter vs. Ashton Starr
Cam gets a decent reaction, haven't seen him in a while. Ashton's PP interrupts Feltner's intro, and he does an excellent intro for Ashton. A standing "O" for Ashton's entrance. Reversals and some flips to start off with, very evenly matched thus far. Cam gets a near fall off of a second rope jackknife. Several momentum swings in this match. Ashton lands a slingshot CD, which lays both men out for a bit. Logan Chase makes his way ringside, and he gets on the ring apron to distract the ref. His cane is in the ring, and Ashton grabs it, then tosses it away. Cam grabs it and nails Ashton with it and gets the pinfall at 11:02. Cam Carter is Logan's newest client. B-.
Feltner introduces Joe Black. Joe is on the mic. I haven't seen or heard him doing a promo in the ring, he did a damn fine job. Joe was a supposed wrestle someone, but they had taken another booking. He says that someone else was mentally incompetent to wrestle. Stephen Platinum gets a mention and asks the crowd when they remembered when wrestling was magic. Some lady(who apparently attends the SSAT) is chanting "boring," and Joe and the crowd go off on her. Joe asks a fan what he thinks of Huckaby, the fans responds, "he's a bitch." Huckaby comes out, and security is trying to restrain him. Joe says, let him go. Huck breaks free for a sec but gets corraled and escorted to the back. Joes says that he's going to the back to find himself a fight.
Dani Jordyn (with David Ali) vs. Kenie Paige
Dani's got some supporters in the crowd, but for the most part, boos. Paige comes out to a loud pop. The SH crowd would cheer a trash can if it were in a match against Dani. Paige is from the Jacobs-Pritchard Dojo, and she's only 17. Paige is looking good in the opening minutes of the match, including taking out Ali with a cross body through the second and top ropes. She follows that up with a dive from the turnbuckle. Back in the ring, Dani has taken over. Paige rolls through and delivers a Sabat kick to start her comeback and gets a near fall. Dani rolls out of the ring, and Paige follows. Dani German suplexes her onto the ring apron. They are fighting on the ramp area. Paige takes out Ali again and gets a near fall back in the ring. They are fighting on the top turnbuckle. Dani catches Paige in her finisher for the pin at 9:39. I liked it, B+.
Lethal Poison (Mikal Judas and Brady Peirce) vs. GB1C (Josh Wolverton and Tyler Rivera)
Brady just decks GB1c as they make their ring entrance. They try to fight back, but it doesn't last long. Rivera tries to get some offense in on Judas, but Brady pounces him out of the ring. Wolverton trying to do some damage but gets caught. He receives a Crucifix powerbomb, but Rivera launches a double dropkick. LP bounces off the ropes, and they both grab Rivera and give him a double chokeslam for the win at 4:36. Monsters established, GB1C squashed, B-.
David Ali vs. Sunny Daze
Daze didn't come out when his music played. Ali says despite what Lamb says, Ali is a killer. Ali says he's got the night off, and the crowd can keep being incestual. Gary Lamb comes out, Ali's asking if Lamb wants to fight. Lamb says that he hadn't heard from Sunny since the last so, but he's got a guy looking for a fight. Joe Black's music plays.
David Ali vs. Joe Black
Joe has a tail attached to his belt, interesting. Joe drapes Ali over the top rope and punches him to the floor. They are fighting around the ring, Ali almost gets thrown through the barricade. Joe rushes, but Ali moves, and Joe meets the barrier. Ali gets Joe in the tree of woe and gets some damage in. Joe on the comeback, but gets cut off. Ali is doing a good job of cutting off Joe's offense, but Joe gets a superplex on Ali. Joe explodes on Ali and wins it at 9:52, B+.
Huckaby tries to get to the ring from the crowd but gets cut off by security. More people come out to stop Joe from going after Huck. A security guy gets decked. Joe follows Huck out into the crowd and out the front door. They are fighting in the parking lot, and someone in one of the other businesses in the strip mall called the police.
Intermission.
Best Two out of Three series for the new SH Tag Championships: Not Yet Rated(Kevin Ryan and Jordan Kingsley) vs. The Lynch Mob (Joey and Matt Lynch)
IMO, this program between these two teams will set the stage for SH's remaining year and for the new year as well. The match starts off donnybrook style with action in and out of the ring. The mob is double-teaming Ryan, he's taking some heat. The Mob are being very aggressive tonight. Ryan gains separation and makes the tag to Kingsley. He goes off and gets a near fall on Joey. Ryan spears Jordan by accident. Mob back in control. Mob gets Ryan with a double Styles Clash, Jordan breaks it up. Stereo topes on the Mob by NYR. The Mob win the first match using their double team at 10:15. The action was all over the place, video viewing is a must for this, B+.
Josh Powers vs. Blanco Loco. The winner gets an SHW contract
My first time seeing Loco in action, I think I've seen Josh before but could be mistaken. This will be the power of Powers vs. the high flyin' Loco. Powers is in control but can't put Loco away. Loco is getting some love from the crowd, and it starts his comeback. Powers cuts it off and lands a splash from the middle turnbuckle for a near fall. Loco is begging Powers to hit him. They start trading blows. Powers takes down the straps much to the disgust of the crowd.
A video begins playing, the voice over is saying "This is not a test, this is reality. Who's in the house?" Holy shit, it's Gunner Miller! He gets in the ring and spears Powers. Loco tries to come from the top rope, and Miller spears him. Miller then jackknifes Loco. Time of the match, 8:56. The match itself was a B-, what happened after was an A+. Lamb makes an appearance to gloat.
AC Mack vs. Logan Creed(c) w. Brooklyn Creed for the SH Championship
Mack's on the mic. Mack's is hesitantly doing his intro, acting scared of Logan. Logan's standing in the middle of the ring, cutting Mack off. Mack tries an arm drag, and Logan shoves him off. Mack's moves have no effect on Logan. Mack slaps Logan in the face, and then runs away, Logan chases. Mack kicks Logan three times in the face to knock Logan off the ring apron. Logan catches Mack and swings him into the barricade three times. Mack catches Logan and drapes the throat over the top rope. Mack is doing the smart thing and going after Logan's leg. Logan is trying to come back, but Mack gets the leg tied up in the ropes. Mack is mouthing off to Brooklyn, and Logan faceplants him for a near fall. Mack tries for the Mack 10, and Logan backflips him. Logan tries for a power slam, but the leg buckles on the way down. That was an awkward exchange. Mack tries for the Mack 10 but can't get all of it, two count. Mack locks up Logan's leg with an arm figure four, Logan reaches the ropes. Mack locks it back in, but Logan gets out. Logan goes for a powerbomb, but Mack is able to reverse it and swing Logan into the ref, and the ref is out of the ring. Mack grabs a chair from ringside and waffles Logan's leg with it multiple times. Mack wraps the chair around Logan's leg and climbs up top. Brooklyn's yelling at him, and that causes enough of a distraction that Logan grabs Mack's throat. Mack fights out out it and Mack 10's Logan from the second rope. The second ref comes in, and Logan barely gets a shoulder up. Mack rushes at Logan, and Logan catches him for a powerbomb for the win at 10:18, A-.
After the match, Lethal Poison rushes the ring and attacks Creed. Brooklyn runs to the back but gets dragged back out by Corey Hollis. He drags her to the ring, but she low-blows him and gets away. Creed clotheslines Judas and Brady out of the ring and then powerbombs Hollis over the top rope onto them. The Heathens stand tall and defiant in the ring against LP. Creed's on the mic. He says that it's Logan's turn to talk. Logan's not a monster; he's a heathen. He calls Hollis out for a match at the next show, basically a street fight. Hollis has one month to prepare.
Logically, you had to have known that Gunner would be back in a wrestling ring sooner rather than later. You just weren't sure of the who, what, when, and where. Gary and Gunner did a fantastic job of swerving pretty much everyone. With Gary pressing super hard trying to get Gunner signed, bordering on total assholeness, and Gunner constantly rebuffing Gary, getting frustrated with Gary's refusal to take no for an answer, finally using his 60 Minute Broadway podcast a couple of weeks prior, to basically tell Gary to fuck off, in polite terms.
This is why Southern Honor will be the promotion of the year.
