Thank God for that sweet, sweet AC in the TWE Arena as it’s even hotter outside than last night. The chains are in town so the forecast is red hot in the building with heavy glass showers. Danny out for his usual show startup, gets interrupted by John Wayne Murdoch who wants to fight Danny tonight & goads him on with talk of GCW. Danny says GCW made John soft & accepts his challenge for later tonight.

AKIRA vs MM3
First time seeing MM3 live. They start with some mat wrestling with reversals by both men ending in a headstand escape for AKIRA. Beautiful tope con Hilo through the chains by MM3. Back in the ring MM3 hits this boss ass cross legged German into a bridge for a two count. AKIRA comes back with some kicks & a suplex onto a trash can. MM3 bodyslams AKIRA onto a cinder block. Ooof!
Only good for a two count. MM3 grabs a tube bundle but gets it kicked in his face & has the remnants used to cut him up. AKIRA continues the savagery with some body slams into the chains & some hard kicks. Twisting clothesline from MM3 for a near fall. MM3 gets back dropped off the platform onto an unbreakable door. One tube bundle later AKIRA drops MM3 on his head for the victory. Great way to start the show.
HOODFOOT comes out to let everyone know he’s healing up & will be back in the ring to fight SADIKA in Chicago & he don’t speak Spanish. I imagine he will soon be able to translate la sangre.
Gary Jay vs Hard Way Heeter
They start with some chops & kicks. Gary Jay tears off Heeter’s Descendents t shirt like a dick & they go to tenderizing each other’s chests with chops. Tope suicida by Jay puts Heeter in the second row. Heeter eats a support beam with a chair necklace. Jay gets power bombed through a door.
Another insane chop & slap exchange ending in a back chop to Heeter. Heeter fires up in a frenzy & puts Jay through a door face first. DDT & roaring forearm from Jay for a near fall. Both men wobbly throwing strikes in the middle until Heeter hits a tiger driver for the three count. Danny out post match invites Heeter to be in the Battle of the Tough Guys Tournament in Boston. He graciously accepts.
Brandon Kirk vs Dale Patricks
Dale dresses up Brandon in his shades & leather & offers him a cigarette only to double cross him by putting him in the chains three separate times before taking away the cigarette & flipping it in his face & following it up with a firework bat. Dale is not your friend Brandon. A second firework bat is used as they fight around the ring & the arena. Back in the ring Brandon hits a pile driver & a big lariat.
Dale answers with a sit out pile driver. A steel casket is set up & Dale goes for a pile driver but Brandon nut shots him leading to a psycho driver FYL! but only good for a two count. They have a brutish punch,chop,head butt exchange that leaves both guys laying. They go through a box of tubes showering the crowd in glass before Dale choke slams Brandon on the open back to back chairs that gets the three count & the win for Dale Patricks.
KRULE vs TANK
There’s an elevated level of excitement for this Monster battle. The Rev suggests this fight could summon the end of time & appears to be perfectly fine if it does. Huge ovations for both men. KRULE boots TANK out the ring & flies over the chains with a psychotic dive that levels TANK into the chairs. KRULE tosses TANK around the arena including an attempt into my lap. When I call them rotten mother fuckers for it, KRULE steps toward me & I shriek like a terrified child & backpedal so fast I nearly fall on my ass. What? I’m not Santino Marella. They simultaneously bust some long bundles on each other before KRULE starts smashing TANK’s body into a support beam.
The Reverend tries to distract KRULE with his goat skull but gets choked out & the skull is used as a weapon to open up TANK. KRULE flies off the platform with a clothesline that gets a two count. TANK blinds KRULE with some old school powder. Firework bat to KRULE’s back that enrages him as he beats TANK down before unleashing a firework bat of his own onto TANK. TANK fights back with a chair & puts KRULE through a door. TANK choke slams KRULE through a second door. Only worth a two count.
They start chopping gusset plates into each other’s head & chests with KRULE wearing a gusset like a nipple ring at one point. He looks like PETA threw a bucket of red paint on him. TANK hits three consecutive Saito suplexes but KRULE sits up & chokes him out from behind. Well deserved standing ovation for the match as KRULE exits & a rousing chant for a blood painted TANK. KRULE returns to stare TANK down before giving a slight nod of respect. This match ruled.
John Wayne Murdoch vs Danny Demanto
They set the ring up with gusset plate lattices on two sides as well as all the usual fuckery in the ring. That zen moment of joy when I see several boxes of tubes at ringside. This one’s going to get violent. Danny out first to Bottoms Up, little did I know how much enjoyment that same song would bring me a few hours later. Murdoch out wearing a GCW T shirt getting cussed & cussing everyone in sight.
They start hot with the punches before John gets put through a board & gets a tube head butted into his face. They fight in the crowd trading brain damaging head butts dedicating them to Ian Rotten. They trade gusset bat shots to the arms & both men are steady leaking at this point. Murdoch head butts a gusset into Danny’s head to open him up & Danny adds some thumbtacks to John’s hairline with a tack bat. JWM suplexes Demanto through a cut can board on the floor. Murdoch turns his attention to Mittens in the crowd & smashes a tube on him,followed by a huge firework bat.
Mittens is down & out but John mounts him & rains punches down on his head & face. I can’t lie, it was funny as shit particularly when someone behind me shouted “Kill that mother fucker!” Back in the ring Murdoch busts some long tubes on Danny & cuts him up with the shards. Mittens comes for revenge & cross bodies a bundle into the Duke. Good for a two count. Danny goes to the platform & hits a frog splash on a tube bundle laying on JWM.
Still just a two count. Danny takes a brain buster through an open chair & Murdoch floats over into the Koji clutch for the referee stoppage victory. Post match Murdoch covers Danny’s head with his GCW T shirt for the final humiliation. A blood drenched Demanto exits to an ICW chant. This was an excellent Death Match.
Eric Ryan vs Kasey Kirk
Ryan out first wearing his strictly business face to Fuck Ohio chants. Kasey out to a huge pop pushing a grocery cart full of tubes with a fork in her mouth. Playing mind games with the King, she produces a multitude of forks from her pockets. I loved this. Eric offers Kasey a tube bundle & when she accepts he hits a perfectly timed shotgun drop kick for a massive explosion. Beautiful! He follows up smashing more tubes on her & a neckbreaker into a pile of tubes. Only a one count. Eric now poking some holes in Kasey’s head with the forks she brought. Bodyslam onto the fork pile before he throws another tube bundle into her face. Side suplex onto another huge pile of tubes.
Wholesale slaughter is in full effect from the KOTDM. Kasey still kicks out at two obviously frustrating Eric at this point. Eric grabs the mic & screams at Kasey “You fucking bitch!” I choked on my own laughter it came so fast. He slams her onto a bundle & says she’s as worthless as her husband. Man, someone say something nice to Brandon. He took a physical & emotional beating this weekend.
He continues to run her down while stomping on her. Ryan pulls her up to throw her into a bundle but she reverses & Eric eats it face first. She body splashes another bundle on Eric but only gets a two count. Spurred on by a fuck him up Kasey chant, she obliterates an entire box of tubes on the King who is quickly turning crimson all over.
She tosses him a bundle & forearms it into his chest. STO from Kasey to Eric on another bundle for a two count. Eric fast balls a bundle into Kaseys face before smashing some tubes to make a bed of glass. Unfortunately for him, he gets a Saito suplex right into the glass pile. Kasey gets Eric under the pane of tinted glass & comes off the platform with a chair through the pane drowning Ryan in glass as she covers him for the gargantuan victory. The black tinted glass mixed with the white with dollops of red is a spectacular mural of pain.
Danny out to make it official, Kasey Kirk is the number one contender & will get her title shot September 10th in New Jersey. This was my favorite match of the weekend & the last three matches on this show were incredibly explosive, bloody & violent. The rise of Kasey Kirk as a baby face queen with KRULE looking out for her while her heel husband seethes is my favorite story in wrestling right now.
