World Wrestling Council's 50th Anniversary Show takes place on June 24 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon. The event is dedicated to the pioneers and pillars of the promotion since its inception, the three founders: Victor Jovica, Carlos Colon and the late Gorilla Monsoon along Calgary' Stampede Wrestling legend Gil Hayes, Jose Miguel Perez,Sr. and "El Enciclopedico" Pedro "Hurricane" Castillo,Sr., Joaquin Padin Jr.., Rickin Sanchez and loyal fan of WWC since day one, Yoly Serrano. Most of all, this year's anniversary show is dedicated to the loyal fans all over the Island and all across America who still stand strong in support of the oldest promotion on the Island through thick and thin.

I almost forgot Jacques Rougeau, who came to WWC Puerto Rico first in WWC's Seventeenth Anniversary Show teaming with his brother,Raymond Rougeau and returned to WWC three years later as The Mountie and met future Quebecer, Pierre Carl Oullette (PCO).

Championships that are still active are the WWC Universal Championship currently held by Intelecto Cinco Estrellas, WWC World Tag Team Champiopnships currently held by Androide 787 and El Payaso Makabro, WWC World Television Championship held by El Informante. The WWC Puerto Rico champion is "Showman" Mike Nice and the current WWC World Junior Champion is Jovan.
The titles that have been deactivated include the WWC North American Heavyweight and Tag Team Championships (when the promotion was an NWA member until 1988), from former affiliate Trinidad and Tobago Wrestling Alliance: the TTWA World Heavyweight and Tag Team Championships (from former affiliate Trinidad and Tobago Wrestling which broke ties with WWC in 1984), The WWC Intercontinental, Hardcore, Medalla, Latin American, Women's, Dominican Republic, Caribbean and Caribbean Tag Team Championships were also deactivated during the 1990s and the 2000s, though these titles remain a significant part of the promotion's five decades of storied history.
