Time again for PCW Live and we’ll see what the fallout was from Hoochiemania! That new theme and intro is BANGING and we’re underway!
We begin with Najasism’s music hitting and the ENT makes its way to the ring. He beat Ashton Starr to defend his PCW Heavyweight Championship last show. Naja lets us know he isn’t giving us the good intro on the ‘free free’ anymore and that everyone needs to STAND UP AND CLAP. Tonight there is an open challenge and DEON SUMMERZ is going to take Naja up on the offer! Naja thinks he’s gonna have the numbers game in his favor, but ERC, Cuatro, and Rose Gold enter the ring to scare the ENT off. Looks like it’ll be a fair fight!
Deon Summerz vs Najasism (PCW Heavyweight Championship Match)
Bell rings and Deon hits Najasism with a huge spear right off the bat that gets one. Naja bails but Deon planchas out on top of him. Naja back in and Deon goes to the top and hits a dropkick that gets two! Naja tries to strike but Summerz airplane spins the champ and gets another two. Hot start for Deon.
Just as I type that Naja starts striking and catches Deon on the apron with a kick and a stomp. Tope Atomico gets two. Naja tells the ref to do his job. Backbreaker from Naja followed by a tilt a whirl slam gets another two count. Crowd is behind Deon. Another backbreaker from Naja and he starts driving knees into his back. Summerz is in trouble.
Deon not fooled by Naja’s pop up but then the Hoochie Daddy hits a wicked Spanish Fly that only gets two. Naja throws Deon down by the hair, he’s just beating him up. Summerz trapped on the tope turnbuckle, Naja trying to set him up and hits a Superplex for two! Naja frustrated he didn’t get three goes back on the attack with a suplex but Deon hits a Blue Thunder Bomb outta nowhere and both guys are out!
Both guys slugging away and Deon hits a Powerslam for two. Big splash and a Michinoku Driver from Sumemrz gets a close two! Mike Fullilove does a hell of a job calling moves on commentary. Deon to the top rope and hits a BIG elbow drop that gets another close two! Deon goes back up for another elbow but Naja gets his knees up and starts attacking Deon’s arm. Big kick and Light’s Out from Naja almost gets three but Deon has his foot on the ropes. Suddenly the bell rings and the time limit is up? Ten minute time limit? Boo! I wanted a winner!
ENT comes to the ring and Naja spears Deon. Sorry Deon, you thought you were gonna win the title but instead you won a beatdown. Najasism is STILL the PCW Heavyweight Champion.
PCW has training! Technical, high flying, managers, referees, branding, theme songs, looks like it has it all! Check the commercial!
Cedric Terrell vs ‘Top Killa’ Trey Shaw (If Cedric wins he joins PCW Dealer’s Choice Championship match at Turn the Page)
Shaw is the current PCW Dealer’s Choice Champion and looks READY to rumble tonight against his former Eastside Ronin partner. Shaw is clicking on all cylinders right now. Bell rings and both guys go face to face in the middle of the ring. The Ronin formally disintegrated at Hoochiemania, and tonight we’ll see where their story goes. Both guys start exchanging holds to start and its evenly matched to begin.
Terrell takes control with some strikes but Shaw kicks him down. Hurling suplex from Shaw followed by a big ole headbutt. Cedric tries to fight back but gets slammed down in response for one. A big clothesline from Shaw and Terrell is down again. Shaw taking his time with each shot, off the rope with a big boot but Cedric kicks him back to buy some time.
Now both guys slugging it out on their knees and Shaw takes control. Headbutt from Terrell though and he hits a clothesline and a kick followed by a Slingblade that gets two! Cedric psyching himself up now but Shaw OBLITERATES him with a clothesline and both guys down again. Duncan Mitchell Avecilla has snuck out to the commentary booth and is stealing the Dealer’s Choice title.
In the ring Shaw goes for a Regal Plex but Cedric counters and hits a running boot! Terrell to the top rope but misses a Swanton Bomb hitting Shaw’s knees. Shaw hits the Regal Plex now but misses a clothesline and Avecilla leaps on the ring hitting Cedric with the belt! Cedric Terrell wins by DQ! That means he’s IN the Dealer’s Choice Championship match at Turn the Page! Triple Threat for the title at the biggest show of the year to settle who was top dog in the Eastside Ronin once and for all?!? OH HELL YEAH.
DJ Smoke (w/ENT) vs Rose Gold
Smoke sends the ENT to the back and an early lockup leads to a bodyslam from Rose. Kick to the head from Rose and Smoke is down. Leg drop from Rose gets two. Smoke grabs a handful of hair when the ref can’t see and takes control. More hair control and DJ loving his job right now. Suplex from Smoke get two. Now DJ chokes Rose out with her braids like it’s a mafia garrote, nice. Rose tries to fight back but Smoke hits a DDT that gets two.
Rose in trouble now and Smoke goes to the top but misses the frog splash and Rose boots him sending both competitors down. Rose up first and starts booting away and hits a Spinebuster that gets two. Rose sets up for the Gory Bomb but Nathaniel Vanderbilt is out on the mic to distract her. Smoke takes advantage and hits a Superkick on Rose. ERC comes out to stop him from going further and challenges Smoke to a STREET FIGHT at Turn the Page. Rose hits the Gory Bomb on Smoke for three! Fun match.
Vanderbilt hits the ring and he’s pissed his thunder was stolen! He challenges ERC to a match right here right now!
Nathaniel Vanderbilt vs ERC
Impromptu battle underway and ERC hits the A Town Beatdown followed by a dropkick splash that gets two! Fireman’s carry and ERC drops him onto his knees for another two count. Wow that had to hurt. Vanderbilt bails for some space and Lamar Diggs comes to the ringside area. ERC is clearly distracted and Vanderbilt takes control with a big knee and stomp that gets two. Diggs still outside taunting ERC.
Vanderbilt stays on the attack and drives ERC for two. Rear chinlock but ERC fights it off but gets an Eat the Feet from Vanderbilt! Two count! Vanderbilt goes to the second rope but misses a Swanton Bomb. Clotheslines from ERC and he hits the cutter that gets a close two. ERC hits the FU but Vanderbilt was able to kick out. DJ Smoke appears from nowhere and he cleans ERC’s clock. DDT from Vanderbilt and he gets the three. Nathaniel Vanderbilt is your winner in a match with all kinds of outside interference. Diggs adds a choke slam for good measure.
‘Country Strong Style’ Jay Shaw vs KOTP Champion ‘Mr. Teflon’ Jay Alpha Miller
First of all, I dig this whole “Country Strong Style” thing Jay Shaw has originated. I think that’s where Conor McGregor got inspiration for his Roadhouse role. Anyhow, Jay Alpha Miller interrupts that thought by LOUDLY proclaiming his Constitutional rights of free speech once again. No denying that one folks, the 1st Amendment is real. Interesting matchup.
Early lockups and a huge shoulder block drops Miller. Big scoop slam from Shaw. Shaw goes for a spear but misses and charges the post. Miller takes advantage right away and goes after his arm. Miller is a fantastic heel, you can taste how pissed the locals are when he’s winning. Shaw fights him off finally and hits a huge splash in the corner for two.
Miller uses the rope to take back control and starts kicking Shaw followed by a slamming his knee into Shaw’s head for two. Miller pulls a hammer lock into a dropping slam for another two. Nice move there. I agree with commentary, interesting offense. Shaw has had enough and catches Miller into a Tilt a Whirl Powerslam!
Both guys slugging now and Shaw takes control with a side slam that gets two! Shaw charging but misses a bicycle kick and Miller backstabs him for two. Miller hits Shaw with a cutter but Edward Draven is out with a microphone mocking Mr. Teflon with a rainbow version of the American flag. Miller is distracted and Shaw hits him with a big boot that gets three! Country Strong Style wins again!
William Huckaby vs Hakeem Young – Can You Whup Me Challenge
Jeff Jobbs drops to his knees with the mic because Huckaby doesn’t like how tall he is lol. Huckaby tells Lamar Diggs to come out and settle their differences once and for all. However, HAKEEM YOUNG’S music hits and here he comes back to PCW after a long and interesting absence. He’s in great shape and he’s on the mic for the Hakeem Young show! This is the most interesting choice for the Can You Whup Me Challenge I can think of!
Young mocks Huckaby who appears unimpressed. Looks like Young is gonna be the contestant tonight! Here we go! Both guys with big shots back and forth right away! Chops from Huckaby followed by forearms from Young and now he’s strutting like JJ. Young misses a charge and the Incredible Huck hits a Samoan Drop for two. More chops from Huck but Young throat chops him and hits a half DDT but Huckaby right back up.
More chops from Huckaby but Young hits a jumping neckbreaker that gets two. Huck hits him in the knee to regain control and starts a beatdown all around the ring with chops and forearms. Young starts fighting back but misses a splash in the corner and Huck right back to the sharp chops. These two guys are just beating the crap outta each other and suddenly Huck hits a Dragon Suplex! Then Young hits a German Suplex on Huck! Suplex City!
Young misses a charge and Huckaby applies a Texas Cloverleaf in the middle of the ring and….Young taps! Your winner of the ‘Can You Whup Me Challenge’ is William Huckaby, Diggs comes out to the ring but Huckaby holds his own and challenges Diggs to a match at Turn the Page on October 20th! This event is shaping up to be phenomenal!
Chad Skywalker vs Dominic Stuckey
This should be an outstanding main event tonight, both guys are blue chip all day. Dezmond Chastain is joining Stuckey at ringside. There is a lot involved here with the recent passing of Micah Taylor, these guys must have had an emotional week ahead of this event. Stuckey is trying to win his first title at PCW this year, he’s clearly stated that as his goal heading into this match. He’s trying to climb the ladder.
Bell rings and we’re underway and both guys trading shots and Stuckey hits a hip toss and stomps Chad. Dom tries a suplex but Chad reverses into an arm crucifix but Stuckey reverses it into his own. Dom hits a chinbuster but then gets caught with a kick to the back of the head. NICE jumping elbow by Skywalker from the top. Tope Atomico follows and Skywalker is feeling good.
Skywalker bulldogs Stuckey into the second turnbuckle! Wow. Stuckey in trouble but he fights back only to get punched, but then hits a buzzsaw kick on Chad. Kicks from Chad and a clothesline gets two. Throat punch gets another two. Suplex from Skywalker gets two. Moonsault elbow from Skywalker gets another two! Man, he’s flying out there! Running chinlock applied and Stuckey is almost done here.
Fans chanting for Dominic and he refuses to give up! He throws Chad off and hits a flying tackle and flying forearm but Chad hits a flying dropkick to stop the comeback and gets two. Now he throws Dom outside and goes on the attack with boots. Both guys battle and Chad back in and catches Dom coming back in when Stuckey hits the Rasengan! Boom! He’s too tired to cover though! And here come the ENT to the ring, and both competitors stop fighting to assess the new threat.
Stuckey and Skywalker team up against the H-Town Hittas and clear the ring! Will they finish the match? Hittas still jawing from ringside and they start fighting again! Now Deon Summerz and Cuatro Cabezas come out and a massive brawl breaks out. DJ Smoke gets intercepted by ERC and both original guys are back in the ring with Squeaky, can we get a finish?
Stuckey seems reluctant to take advantage of Skywalker being down but suddenly Chad rolls him up for two. Kick from Dom but Chad reverses but Stuckey rolls him up for one. Skywalker rolls him for two! And again for two! And Dom rolls him for two! And backslides him for another two! Now Stuckey grabs the arm and locks in a hold on Chad. Will he submit? Dominic stops him from getting the ropes by rolling him into a crucifix pin that gets three! Wild main event!
PCW continues to shine as they build to Turn the Page on October 20th. Interesting they are running this landmark event on a Sunday. Sounds like something I’ll need to see live.
