This  edition is dedicated to the memories of former NFL Chicago Bears linebacker, and WCW legend, former WCW US Champion: Steve "Mongo" McMichaels, who fought against Lou Gherig's disease for so many years, and to ECW Original, "The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal" Sabu, the real-life nephew of WWE Hall of Famer, and promoter for the old NWA Detroit until its closing in 1980. Sheik came to WWC in Puerto Rico with his battles against WWE Hall of Famer and founder of the promotion, Carlos Colon, in 1982 and early 1983 for the now-defunct WWC World Championship. Twenty years later, Farhat's nephew, Sabu, beat a young Carly Colon (once again WWE Superstar and current member of The Judgment Day, Carlito Caribbean Cool) to become the new WWC Universal Champion at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum in Carolina as part of El Bronco's Dominican Luchador Invasion. Sabu appeared in some of the promotion's Anniversary Shows over the years. In 2005, Sabu and fellow ECW Original, The Sandman won the Bruiser Brody Memorial Cup in Caguas, leading to the short return of ECW as a third brand for the WWE on the summer of that year from the ECW One Night Stand from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City until he left WWE in 2007. Before his untimely passing, Sabu fought against Joey Janela in a barbed wire match during Mania Week in Las Vegas on GCW's Joey Janela's Spring Break 9. We here at Georgia Wrestling History, send  our deepest condolences to the respective families of both above late legends, as well as to say thanks for the memories and excitement they gave us. 

World Wrestling Council has two May events leading into its 52nd Anniversary show on August 13, dedicated to the late Julio Estrada ("Mr. Hardcore" Rico Suave). Saturday, May 24th, from Dr. Juan Acevedo Sanchez Coliseum, Moca, "The Prelude to Summer Madness" and on Saturday, May 31st from Jose Pepin Cestero Arena in Bayamon, Summer Madness with the return of, current WWC Director of Opperations, NWA and TNA star, Eddie Colon, now former WWE and current NJPW star: Luke Gallows, as part of the partnership with WWE, Carlito returns sent by WWE Raw General Manager, and former NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Adam Pearce. Also, the debuts of former IWA Puerto Rico stars Nick Mercer (formerly of The Faces of Destiny with Jay Blake) and former member of the Pure Blood, "El Matador" Oscar Bernabe.  As part of WWC's 52nd Anniversary Show from the Ruben Rodiguez Coliseum in Bayamon, there will be a WWC WrestleCon and much more. The kick-off starts at 4:00 PM, and Bell time for the event begins at 8:00 PM.  Stay tuned for a Special WWC Anniversary Edition later this summer, with more historical facts and WWC Anniversary Show matches through the years from NWA territory legends, WWE Hall of Famers to today's stars like LA Knight, current Ring of Honor Women's Television Champion, Red Velvet and former LAX member Hernandez.

Promociones Neza's upcoming event, Herederos de Atlanta ("The Heirs of Atlanta") on Sunday, July 27th, from Atlanta Eagles Arena has been postponed due to mass deportations from ICE  throughout Atlanta. Caguas' NPW proudly presents Cruzando La Linea ("Crossing The Line.") from Juanito Cabello Arena, Cidra, Puerto Rico on Saturday, May 31st. Bell time at 8:05 PM Here is the promo video.

 

Friday, June 20th, The Crash hosts El Hijo del Santo's Farewell Tour from Fausto Gutierrez Municipal Auditorium, Tijuana, Mexico. Bell time at 8:00 PM (Mexico time). Former AAA Mega Champion, El Texano, Jr, will be at the event. Plus, more stars will appear. Here is a full video from the press  conference with El Hijo del Santo.

  

 Killer Kuaykal's Alianza Nacional de Lucha Libre Ecuador (NWA Ecuador) and World Independent Wrestling Alliance have an upcoming event,\ starting on Sunday, June 1st, from Coliseo 19 de Noviembre in Tulcan. Participants from UPLL's Bogota, Colombia's Lucha Libre SAW-WAG, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and the USA will be involved in the tournament's first round. Bell time is 3:00 PM (Ecuador time). Stay tuned for upcoming editions when the date in November for the finals to crown a new WIWA World Heavyweight Champion, which will be held in Ecuador. LEGION Nueva Era Argentina presents La Cumbia Legionaria on Friday, June 6th, from Galpón Cultural Mercedes Sosa, España 287, Avellaneda in Buenos Aires. Alongside neighboring Andes country, Chile's Guerra de Titanes Latin American Heavyweight Champion: "El Tanque" Razo and fellow countrymen, Los Asquerosos (Dan Gazette and Cachi).will be at the event. Bell time at 8:30 PM (Argentina time). Before that, on Sunday, June 1st, Guerra de Titanes presents Supervivencia Nattalla Real 2025 from Gimnasio Municipal de San Joaquin, Chile. Bell time is 5:00 PM (Chilean time).
