Match 1: Zander Whoric VS. Kyle Gunner (w/ Shane Noles) “Four-Corners
Bullrope”— Gunner jumps the bell by rushing at Whoric early. Kyle uses the rope to his
advantage for some chokes and strikes, then a leg drop. He goes to touch each corner
turnbuckle but only barely gets two before Zander stops him. Whoric fights back,
temporarily stunning Gunner as Whoric goes for the win but only gets to three
turnbuckles. Noles on the apron to help thwart the fourth touch. This allows Gunner to
take control again. Zander lands a wicked forearm. Noles tries to cheer on and direct
Kyle to victory from the outside. Gunner gets to two buckles again then Whoric catches
with a back elbow in the corner followed by a sling blade with assist from the rope.
Zander touches three buckles again but fails to get the fourth as Kyle cuts him off. Kyle
gets tangled in the rope as he ends up straddling it. Zander quickly pulls up on the rope
dropping Kyle face first on the mat. Gunner tries to finish off his foe, however Whoric
yanks on the rope. As Kyle is propelled towards him, Zander delivers a devastating
super kick that floors Kyle, leading to Zander touching all corners for the win!
Winner: Zander Whoric via Four Corners Touch
Match 2: Brother Azriel, Julius Pryor VS. Lethal Gainz (BPW Tag Team
Champions—Lamar Phillips, Chris Gainz)—Gainz and Azriel start. Gainz tags Lamar,
who tags him back. Chris runs the ropes and tries to deliver a shoulder tackle to his
opponent but instead gets sent flying across the ring. He tags Phillips who tries the
same, garnering the same result. Gainz tags in and gets powerslammed. Lamar runs in
and gets the same result. Julius jumps in to help his partner and gets slammed onto
Phillips! Lethal Gainz rolls to the outside and takes their time returning to the ring. They
jaw with some fans at ringside. Pryor tags into the match to face Gainz. Julius drops
Chris then hits a springboard tornado splash from the second turnbuckle. He goes to
the top rope, but Lamar grabs his leg until Chris arrives to snap mare him off the top!
Lethal Gainz execute their Bicep smash a couple times. Phillips tags in. He grabs Julius
in a delayed suplex that he held for close to twelve seconds. He sits Pryor on the top
rope and tags Gainz. They attempt a double superplex. Julius counters by knocking
them down then hitting a big splash! Hot tag to Azriel who levels his foes with
clotheslines, a fallaway slam on Gainz and finally a German suplex to Phillips! Splashes
in the corner for Chris and Lamar. Azriel sidewalk slams Gainz as Julius adds a flying
knee drop. Phillips sends Pryor to the outside then in the confusion catches Azriel with
the Lethal Lariat for the 1, 2, 3.
Winners: Lethal Gainz (Lamar Phillips, Chris Gainz) via pinfall to retain the BPW
Tag-Team Championships
Match 3: Ryan Wyndell VS. Ethan Dallas (Tuxedo Match)—They brawl to start the
match, with Ethan getting the better of the action. He clotheslines Ryan over the ropes
and follows him outside. They fight outside as Ethan rips off his bowtie and crams it in
the gullet of Ryan to the delight of the crowd. Back inside, Wyndell pulls off his own
jacket and whips the younger Dallas brother with it. Ethan takes off his own belt and
catches the backside of Ryan with it a handful of times. They rips a few articles of
clothing off each other. They whip and choke each other with vests, ties, shirts and
more. They tangle more in the ring as Ethan bounces off the ropes and performs a
sunset flip on Wyndell but instead of going for the pin, he goes for the win as he
snatches Ryan’s trousers down to get the victory.
Winner: Ethan Dallas via Tuxedo Strip.
Match 4: Shane Noles (w/ Brad Lynch) VS. “Sunset” Sam McGraw (w/ “Santa”
Johnny Brown)—Kyle Gunner is the special referee for this battle for Bullpen Pro
Wrestling. If Noles wins, Bullpen shuts down. If McGraw wins, Bull gets control of the
company again. Stakes could not be higher. Sam goes after Noles on the outside, all
over the ringside area. He tosses Shane up the entrance ramp then back off of it. Back
inside, Shane takes over with strikes and chokes to ground the bigger McGraw. Lynch
adds in his own offense and shenanigans. Sam catches Shane with a headbutt and
gets a one count as Kyle Gunner stops his count early to take a phone call. Noles
excellently executes an elbow from the second turnbuckle then a body lock. As Gunner
is asking Sam if he gives up, somehow Noles gets poked in the eye and releases the
hold. He recovers to drop McGraw and follow up with a leg drop for a two count. Then
he does it again for another two count. Shane dropkicks Sam’s knee and he stumbles
into the corner where Noles works him over. Sam counters with quick jabs and works
over Shane in the corner instead! Noles takes the low road with a low blow then a
discus lariat. The members of Rebirth (Trey Jordan, Zack Buchanan, Ryan Wyndell)
appear at ringside. Noles goes for the cover as referee Kyle counts one…two……he
stops and starts laughing at Shane who is now confused. So is Brad Lynch on the
outside. Kyle looks at Shane and stands up, continuing to cackle. McGraw sees his
opportunity to hit Noles with a thunderous clothesline. “Iron Ref” Connor Parker runs
down to count the three count and “Sunset” has won Bull’s company back!
After the bell, Rebirth pounces on Noles. As Lynch considers the math, he explains to
security that he’ll just watch and stay out of this skirmish. Zack and Kyle shake hands.
“Sunset” Sam and “Santa” Brown make their way to the back. As the attack continues,
Bull Buchanan runs to the ring. Rebirth scatters out of the ring, slowly backing up the
entranceway. Noles demands from Bull what that attack was all about. Bull says he had
nothing to do with it at all. Eventually, Bull extends his hand to Noles. After some time,
Shane shakes Bull’s hand.
Winner: “Sunset” Sam McGraw via pinfall (Bull now controls Bullpen again.)
Match 5: “Frat Daddy” Bryce Cannon VS. JT Paradox (Match 1 of 3)—Bryce rushes
at JT before the bell with quick strikes and kicks. He picks up the Television Title and
parades around the ring with it. Cannon slams Paradox’s head into the mat. JT fights
back with a flurry of punches that back Bryce into the corner. Cannon drops Paradox
onto the top rope only to get a two count. Paradox does a schoolboy roll up into a
German suplex then rams his foe into multiple turnbuckles. He stands over Bryce in the
corner to rain down 20 punches with the crowd counting along. Cannon falls with flair
after the barrage. As he recovers he goes for the Skull Crushing Finale but Paradox
powers out and delivers a double axe handle. Spinning neck breaker from Cannon after
a boot to Paradox gets a two and seventeen thirty-seconds count. Random guy walks
from the entrance to the ring, seemingly to cheer on Paradox. As Bryce slightly diverts
his attention to the stranger, JT drops him and locks on an ankle lock. Cannon breaks
the loc briefly only for Paradox to slap it on tighter giving Bryce no choice but the tap.
After the match, the random guy introduces himself as 3MP and says he has a history
with Bryce Cannon. He also adds that JT Paradox is his nephew and that JT will rid
Bullpen of Cannon just like he (3MP) did elsewhere.
Winner: JT Paradox via submission
Match 6: Trey Jordan, Zack Buchanan, Jay “Alpha” Miller, Rob Adonis VS. Dante
Diamond, BK Bennet, Cody Windham, Aaron Dallas (Special Ref: “Showtime”
Damon Thomas)—Cody and Rob to start. Solid display of chain wrestling from the ring
veterans until Cody catches Rob with a clothesline to the outside. Zack tags as the
crowd chants for “A-Aron” to tag in as well, so he does. They have a pose off with
Dallas getting the bigger roar from the crowd. Zack takes exception and attacks Aaron.
They trade waist locks until Dallas grabs a head lock. Zack counters into a leg scissors.
As he battles out all eight competitors pile into the ring until all faces have all the heels
into different corners for ten punches. Then they propel them all into the middle of the
ring simultaneously to smash them together. As the match resets, it’s BK and Miller in
the ring. Bennet with the Michinoku driver for a two count. BK misses a splash as Alpha
takes control with a big clothesline for a two count of his own. Adonis tags in to deliver
an exploder suplex to Bennet for a two and a half count. Jordan tags in to lock on a rear
chin lock with a body lock on BK. Running senton from Jordan gets another near fall
after Cody breaks it up. Zack back in with thunderous European uppercuts then a
splash in the corner. Buchanan works over the arm of BK before using a sidewalk slam
to weaken him more. Alpha back in to inflict more damage to BK, but Bennet finds a
quick roll up for a two count. Adonis tags as BK catches him with a stunner followed by
a crossbody from the second turnbuckle. Zack and Aaron get the hot tags. Sequence of
maneuvers from all involved leave everyone laid out. Buchanan recovers first so he
locks on the figure four to Dallas. Zack feels him self sliding so he stretches out a few
times. The third time he stretches the referee says he is using the ropes and makes him
break the hold! The crowd goes crazy. As Zack and Ref Damon go back and forth
arguing, Thomas turns to Dallas and superkicks him! The crowd is erupting in protest!
Buchanan covers Dallas for the victory!
After the match, Ryan Wyndell waltzes out to celebrate with fellow Rebirth members,
new member Thomas, plus teammates Alpha and Adonis. As they are attacking their
opponents, they go after Rob Adonis too. Finally Ethan Dallas, Shane Noles, JT
Paradox and 3MP run out to the ring to send the heels scattering.
Winners: Zack Buchanan, Trey Jordan, Jay “Alpha” Miller, Rob Adonis via pinfall
Match 7—Main Event: Judais (c) VS Xavier Cross—Two of the biggest monsters in
the building squared off to prove who’s yard Bullpen Pro Wrestling belonged to. They
lock up with a stalemate as each gathered no advantage early. They trade running
shoulder tackles with each never leaving their feet. Judais grabs Cross in a towering
chokeslam, only gets a one count. He works Cross over in the corner with strategic
strikes. Judais goes for a splash on Cross in the corner but he moves out of the way
and counters with a big boot to the mush of Judais. Cross chops Judais then catches
him with a Black Hole Slam for a one count. Cross grabs a wrist lock on his foe then
climbs the buckles in the corner. His Old School attempt of walking the ropes is
thwarted though as Judais superplexes him off the top rope! They trade blows on the
outside, then throw each other into the guardrails as fans scurry to avoid the carnage.
Judais regains control once they return to the ring, however Cross blocks a chokeslam
attempt. Judais executes a fallaway slam. Then another. Then a third as he tosses
Cross across the ring. Judais blocks a chokeslam attempt, yet gets powerslammed
instead. Cross goes for Old School again and succeeds this time. He finishes his walk
across the ropes with an over castle neck breaker for a two and three quarters count.
Both go for a running clothesline that connect. Both monsters are down now. “Iron Ref”
Connor Parker gets knocked down. The members of Rebirth appear at ringside. Zach
Buchanan grabs the Bull of the Woods title and leaps on the apron, ready to smash
Judais with it as he gets to his feet in the corner. Instead Cross cuts him off, snatching
the title from Buchanan. Cross stares down Zack….then charges into Judais as he
exited the corner, ultimately clocking Judais in the head with the title! He tosses it to the
side and covers Judais as Referee Connor rolls over to count…1…2….3.
After the match, Rebirth attack Judais as it appears Cross has joined the power faction.
Finally, after some time a handful of wrestlers run out to force the attackers to retreat.
Winner: Xavier Cross via pinfall
Takeaways:
-Zander Whoric has a natural charisma that the fans gravitate to and get behind
him in every match. Kyle Gunner may just be starting his journey, yet has some
solid pillars to build on.
-Lethal Gainz is the best tag-team around and bring something different each time
they are in the ring.
-Azriel and Pryor are actually an interesting team. With Azriel's agility and size
plus Pryor’s maneuverability, this team could be a problematic match up if they
stay as a duo.
-Most of the time Tuexedo matches are clunky and weird. Ethan and Ryan kept
this one short and to the point, utilizing each article of clothing as a weapon then
moving on to get to the finish. Great pacing and timing to create an entertaining
contest.
-Sam gets the job done against Shane, albeit with the help of Rebirth. Bull was
excited to get his company back. Biggest question to me is “Why did Rebirth help
Bull win control back?” I feel like the answer will be far more interesting than
even we could imagine.
-Match one of three for Cannon and Paradox was a solid start for what they can
build the trilogy to be. Paradox has a lot of ability and power. Cannon is one of
the best wrestlers and workers anywhere he goes. Good chance he keeps this
chip on his shoulder til match two between them with his goal to be to even the
score.
-To be so disliked, Jay “Alpha” Miller has only improved on his impressive rookie
campaign last year that gained him Georgia Rookie of the Year honors. He mixes
well with practically any opponent or group for a tag match and gets immediate
response from the time he walks out.
-Cross winning the championship was great. Judais has held that title since the
summer and Xavier taking the reigns for now is a fresh direction for the Bull of
the Woods path.
-Take notice of power faction Rebirth because they could start taking over West
Georgia and beyond very soon. With a mix of a little of everything they create
such complex match up nightmares and have already shown together they stand.
-The writing and booking for this show was incredible. A couple fantastic swerves
and surprises made it truly an awesome card to see. Bullpen continues to deliver
even when they spread across the state lines. With “Iron Ref” Connor Parker and
the Siren Summer Blackfyre keeping everything on track, each show is a must
watch if you’re in the area.
