From Larry Goodman:
Two more stipulation match were added to the February 13 Valentine's Day Massacre card during this episode.
The grudge match between former partners Christian Garrett and DRP will be an I Quit Match with Scott Adams in Garrett's corner and Bubba Cagle cornering for DRP.
Along with the previously announced Kill Field match between Brother Azriel and Mongrel and Buried Alive: Joe Black vs. Ace Haven, the gimmick match total for Valentine's Day Massacre stands at four.
The Process (ProSouth Champion Joe Black, Amy Haven and Tragic) once again put one over on Chosen Ones in the closing segment.
Christian Pierce and Julian Balderas opened the show with a great strong-style infused match, that was by far the best in-ring of this episode.
Wicked Nemesis and Mathias Darkthorne were the broadcast team. Darkthorne doubled the ring announcer. Joseph Void was the referee for the night. Katie Lindsey was the ringside videographer.
The opening montage was interrupted by The Windigo's blood curdling scream and the sight of Mongrel and Brother brawling their way into the ring and back out the side door of the building.
Another spin on the cold open, to be continued.
(1) Julian Balderas defeated Christian Pierce in 6:57. They met at the bottom of the ramp and engaged in a Pier 6 brawl. Balderas gave Pierce a Biel throw on the floor. Balderas claimed victory before the bell rang. Void checked on Pierce, who looked way worse for wear but said he could continue. Balderas sent Pierce corner to corner with massive Biel throws.
Down the rabbit hole I go.

Pierce tried to fight up from the bottom but was being overwhelmed by the sheer power of Balderas. Pierce's blows started to register. Pierce kicked Balderas straight in the mouth and drew blood. Pierce followed up with a senton. Balderas kicked out of both moves but he was rocked. Balderas got back on the attack with a black hole slam for a two count. Pierce connected with a black mass spinning heel kick. Balderas fought off two attempts by Pierce attempts at Once Bitten and planted him with an Oklahoma Stampede. Pierce barely kicked out and struggled to regain his feet. Pierce dodged a spear and Balderas rammed into the post. Pierce delivered a draping DDT. Pierce double stomped Balderas off the top rope and was in disbelief when Balderas kicked out. Balderas rag-dolled Pierce with a rear bodylock. Pierce broke loose and clotheslined Balderas, who popped up speared Pierce out of his boots for the three count.
Balderas gave Pierce another spear after the match and wanted to make it three but referee Void interceded. As Void was helping Pierce to the back, Balderas ran back and speared him on the floor. Balderas defiantly stood with one foot on Pierce's chest.
The physicality and authenticity of this match was on another level from the other matches on this show. Balderas is a force of nature. Pierce's selling was compelling stuff and the sequence of spears was one hell of an ending.
Pillow Talk hosted by "Sleazy C" Caeden Ooten (and Harley Haven) with guest AJ Black. C "interviewed" AJ by asking questions, then pulling the mic away to answer the questions himself. AJ never got word one.
C's answers did nothing but denigrate AJ. The lights went out. C did not appreciate the interruption of one Scott "Almighty" Adams. Adams spilled the beans: Garrett was not there so he had to face Bubba Cagle and tried to sweet talk Ooten into taking his place. C said he had nothing to gain and started heading for the back. AJ called Ooten a coward. Ooten kept right on going. Adams tried to get AJ to take his spot against Garrett, AJ said no and had one question for Adams: "How long until you go away again?"
I was entertained by Adams' slimy desperation. The point was to set the trap for a ProSouth bait and switch classic later in the show.
(2) Brandon Whatley defeated Joe Wood in 4:03. Whatley jumped Wood before the bell and methodically picked the big man apart. Wood fought back with the Frankenstein clotheslines and got a two count with the World's Whitest Slam. As Wood tried for the human torpedo, Whatley caught him upside the head with an enzuigiri and pinned him with the scissors kick.
Whatley told Wood to go home and tell his brother (Alexander Lincoln) to meet him in the ring next week.
A perfectly OK match for what was needed. Whatley looks 100% recovered from his Achilles tendon tear and is being kept strong.
(3) Tragic (with Amy Haven) defeated Jon Averson via submission in 2:02. Averson was rocking what looked a bathrobe as he came to the ring. Averson did not get more than a one count. Finger snap, iron knee and the Captain's Hook (bulldog choke). Averson tapped but Tragic refused the release the hold.
Thank God this was short. Averson was all kinds of awful. I liked Tragic's adiption of the bulldog choke as his new submission.
Chosen Ones tried to make the save but Tragic continued to display freakishly superhuman powers. He was about to snap McKenzie's neck when Ace finally drove from the ring by firing a chair into his back.
McKenzie addressed Cam from ringCam was not himself since he started wearingthe collar. The old Cam would say "let's get weird". McKenzie said Cam started their issue in the dark and that where it would end: in a Lights Out Match at Valentine's Day Massacre.
One too many stipulation matches for my tastes. This feud needs more cooking time to justify an extreme stip. Katie's camera angle of Amy talking to Cam as McKenzie addressed him from inside the ring was captivating.
Ace said he already knew Steven Calozzi would get involved in the Chosen One's tag title match later in the night but Oliver Green had their backs.
Backstage, Calozzi directed the camera person to the room where Oliver Green was screaming in agony with a steel chair wrapped around his ankle while Trey Jordan and KJ Valentine looked on wearing sadistic smiles. Calozzi said the only person that could help Ace and McKenzie was unable to compete so they would have to take on all three of MPR.
(4) Caeden Ooten (with Harley Haven) and Scott Adams?? defeated Bubba Cagle (with DRP) in 7:39. Cagle made his entrance with Ooten on his tail. Ooten beat Cagle up and threw in him in the ring with Adams. AJ Black came out. Darkthorne informed AJ if got involved he would be suspended for two weeks. AJ was relegated to color commentary. DRP was introduced and confronted Ooten. C shoved DRP down. DRP picked himself up, bashed Ooten in the face a few times and threw him in the ring with Cagle. Adams had dissapeared himself.
Cagle was in firm control until Harley got on the apron. Cagle pulled up short to avoid running into her and the match took 180 degree turn in Ooten's favor. Adams interfered. DRP went after Adams who escaped by getting in the ring. Ooten got into it with Adams. Cagle capitalized by taking C to back elbow city. Mongrel and Az brawled their was back into the ringside area like they'd been fighting outside the entire time. The extracurricular activity distracted the ref long enough for Harley to give Cagle a low blow, and Ooten pinned Cagle with the LGC.
Adams used Lion's King references to belittle DRP and announced the I Quit stipulation. Adams said he would never throw in the towel for Garrett and not so subtly questioned Cagle's loyalty to DRP. Beyond tired of Adams clowning him about the Young Lion's thing, DRP said "Hakura Matata, jackass" and laid Adams out with Eye of the Hurricane.
Spoken as an unabashed fan of the chaotic, overbooked segments ProSouth has a penchant for, this one didn't do it for me. All the physicality between Az and Mongrell lessened the mystique about the Kill Field match. Mongrel looks too "normal" without the face paint and head gear. Bonus points for the points for the Lion's Kings/Young Lion's word play.

Money Power Respect (Steven Calozzi & Trey Jordan & KJ Valentine) defeated Chosen Ones (Ace Haven & Justin McKenzie) & Vougan to retain the ProSouth Tag Team Championship in 9:46. Amy Haven goit retribution for Ace's snarky comment about Calozzi getting involved in the match and made it a trios with the tag team title on the line. Amy said Chosen Ones would need a partner and out came Vougan to complete their trio.Chosen Ones and Vougan were having their way early on. Jordan mowed Vougan down and MPR got heat on them. McKenzie was a house of fire after taking the hot tag. Jordan shoved Ace off the top rope and he went sailing into the barricade. Vougan and McKenzie collided. Jordan and McKenzie eventually tumbled over the top rope together. Ace tried to submit Valentine with his octopus variant but Calozzi broke that up, sending Ace the floor.
Void lost control of the match with the lucha tag rules being completely ignored. Two and three MPR members were in the ring with Vougan at the same time. With Calozzi directing traffic, Jordan and Valentine hit their Dominator/Blackout combo on Vougan for the win.
The first two thirds of the match had a nice flow. This was good outing for Vougan. Ditto McKenzie's hot tag. It kind of fell apart after that. The finishing sequence stretched suspension of disbelief beyond the breaking point. The lucha tag rules were egregiously ignored and made the ref look like an idiot. It wasn an obvous DQ but the ref couldn't call it because that was not the plan.
The Process (ProSouth Champion Joe Black & Amy Haven & Tragic) came onstage. Black and Tragic easily got the better of Chosen Ones. Joe would have inflicted brain damage on McKenzie had Ace not pulled Justin out of the ring. Tragic locked Ace in the Captain's Hook. Joe calmly laid down on the mat and told he was going to bury his punk ass alive.
"Oh and one final thing, long live the king."
Ace doen't have a prayer against Joe in the buried alive the way the picture is being painted. Perhaps that's the idea.
