Inferno results from the Warren Rd Community Center with 600 in attendance.

Carmen Michaels opened the show with the heavyweight title match! Jon Davis makes his way to the ring but is attacked on the stage by Drew Hood! VPW officials break up the attack and Davis is taken to the back. Carmen later stated that Davis has been taken to a local medical facility for evaluation. 

Better Together (Hadar Horvitz & Ori Gold) defeated The Monster Squad (Billy Brash & Josh Cutshall) in an upset opener via distraction from NWA Territory President and Manager of The Country Gentlemen, Joe Cazana! Cazana appeared on the jumbo screens mid Match telling the Squad to watch their backs causing Better Together to take advantage of the situation and pick up the win! 

A backstage vignette aired of Amanda Kiss prepping for her match with Savannah Evans. Evans attacked Kiss in the locker room and dragged her to the ring for the match. Kiss put up a fight but never fully recovered from the attack as it was Evans who retained the VPW Women's Championship.  

The Allen Brothers defeated Beaver Fever (Karl Hager & Rich Wise) in their VPW Debuts in match 3. Post match,  Wise made his frustrations known to Hager who attempts to plead with his partner. The two hug as the crowd cheers only for Rich to hit a low blow on Hager and follow with an attack via steel chair! Rich told Hager he's weak and exited. Medics attended to Hager as the crowd booed.

 

Match 4 pitted the best of the best in VPW in the 6 man Scramble featuring WWE ID Prospects Jha’quan McNair and Mike Cunningham as well as VPW favorites Axton Ray and Josh Magnum, Alexander Lev and the returning Darius Lockhart! 

This match was definitely a show stealer featuring many great spots, one most notably being the quadruple tower spot and two tightrope huracanranas. The final two pitted Lev against the former VPW champ in Lockhart. Everyone thought Lockhart had the match in the bag until Drew Hood emerged again like a snake distracting Lockhart on the apron! Lev spotted the opportunity and hit his finish on Lockhart in a shocking upset! The crowd roared in anger at Lev, and Drew laughed at Darius who was visibly upset. 

Post match Lockhart sat in gorilla for a good 20 minutes contemplating what had just happened. 

The fifth match on the card was match of the night in this writer's opinion.  Augusta native Cody Fluffman take on the debuting Bryce Cannon. Fluffman received a pop so loud it was deafening! You could literally hear it outside of the community center! Cannon played the heel well in this match as he always does. The crowd popped when Fluff finally grabbed Cannon’s tip! This match was extremely entertaining with Fluff picking up the win via frog splash. 

The following match featured six man action with all three members of The Supastarz vs Hunter James, Seth Delay and Jesse Cruz (with Pat Roach). Cruz replaced the injured Roach which was shown in a backstage vignette prior to the match. This match featured a new attitude for The Supastarz who weren't their usual “Motley Crue” selves the fans are used to. Instead they appeared to dress darker complete with new entrance music and a more serious tone. This was a great filler match, with Jimmy Wild getting the pin over Outbreak Champion Hunter James in a surprising move via roll-up! With Wild pinning the champ, will he receive a title shot? 

At the end of the show, VPW champ Drew Hood emerged once again to cut a promo that he had the night off due to Jon Davis’ unfortunate injury. The crowd boos, when the lights go out and a video package plays on the screen live as Jon Davis pulled up in a car and stormed back into the building through the crowd in full Stone Cold esque fashion bandaged and all as the crowd exploded! Drew tried to run away but Davis caught him on the outside and the ref made the match official! 

This was a great main event as the fans had waited over a year to see these two finally meet! Davis seemed likely to win until two Devilish Druids stormed the ring, attacking Davis costing him the match. The crowd booed as Drew jumped in on the attack. 

The antics don't last long however as former champ, Darius Lockhart ran out for the save, steel chair in hand as the demon crew powdered out! Lockhart then extended his hand to Davis as the two stared down for a moment before shaking hands in mutual respect. 

With Hood costing Darius and Davis their title shots and Lev winning the scramble, what does this mean for the VPW title scene? Only time will tell.
