From Jeremy York:

Crimson Masque at Monday Night Brewing. The Chandelier Room was SRO for this free for all show.

Ring Announcer—Michael Longino                                                                  Commentary—“Voice of Violence” Nathan Hamilton & Drew “Drewski” Dickinson    Reporter—Chianne Michaels                                                                          Officials—Paul Santa, Jesse Morales

We start with Chianne Michaels welcoming the crowd while going over some of the “house” rules for attending a wrestling show. She turns it over to Drew Dickinson who continues to warm the crowd for the big TV open.

Match 1: (Tournament Semi-Final) “Agent 003” Chad Skywalker V. “Suplex Assassin” Alex Kane—Chad with the go-behind waist lock on Alex. Kane reverses into a massive slam. Kane delivers a delayed suplex where he held Skywalker up in the air for close to thirty seconds before completing the maneuver. Chad counters with a chin breaker and dropkick, yet it’s Alex who dumps “Agent 003” over the ropes. Kane controls Skywalker with his big power before locking on an ankle lock! Chad finds the ropes for a break and the fight continues outside the ring. Skywalker stuns Kane then leaps to a nearby table to deliver a flying cutter on the “Suplex Assassin”! The crowd goes nuts! As they regain their feet on the apron, Alex smashes Chad on the apron with a blue thunder bomb! Kane then attempts his patented super splash, but Skywalker moves at the last minute. Jacob Johnson comes to ringside to cheer on Skywalker. Skywalker catches Kane with a 404 followed by an over the rope delayed senton. They trade big attacks in the corners. Kane gets the advantage with two German suplexes then a release suplex where Skywalker was upended high into the air before crashing to the canvas. Chad with the surprise small package roll up…Kane kicks out at two and seven eighths! Kane’s Superman punch almost shuts out Skywalkers lights. Kane performs a picturesque falcon arrow for a two and fifteen sixteenths count. Ankle lock by Alex once more, Johnson hops onto the apron as Chad sends Alex flying across the ring. Skywalker and Johnson have words where Skywalker can be heard saying he does not cheat. Johnson shakes his head and drops off the apron as Alex Kane delivers a bone-crushing spear for the win!

After the bell, Johnson tries to get Skywalker to hug it out. As Chad finally relents it’s Jacob who grabs him up and drops him with Jersey’s Strongest Slam! Johnson yells at Chad then goes to the back.

Winner: Alex Kane via pinfall (to advance to the Finals of the Heavyweight Tournament)

Match 2: Duncan M.A. V. Deon Summerz—Duncan rushes Deon just as the bell rings to start the contest. Summerz evens it up with a flapjack that sends DMA to the outside. Deon’s flying plancha smashes into Duncan. Back inside it’s M.A. however who centers his efforts on the weakened shoulder of Summerz. As Duncan tries to end the contest Summerz hits a tilt-a-whirl DDT that stuns him! Deon with the splash, slam and elbow from the top rope only to get two and three quarters count. He wastes no time in picking Duncan up for a codebreaker then bucking bronco Pedigree that garners another near fall. DMA was not out of this though as he executes a back suplex then side slam as he covers Summerz. As the official counts one, two…Duncan pulls Summerz up to break the count. As they both get to their feet, Duncan lines up for his running kick, however Deon rolls him up for the victory! After the match, Duncan is enraged and causes a wake of destruction at ringside that had fans scurrying to avoid his wrath. Finally a familiar face from the back talks some sense into him and he eventually makes his way to the back. Winner: Deon Summerz via pinfall

Summerz joins Nathan and Drew for commentary for the next match.

Match 3: (Tournament Semi-Final) Austin Towers V. “Hollywood” Hunter James—As the bell sounds it’s Towers who charges at James who sends Towers into the corner instead to set up some mounted punches to the delight of the crowd. Hunter runs toward Austin, but the big man launches him in the air with a back body drop. Towers with a two-handed front neck submission attempt however James was against the ropes. Austin keeps control of his opponent though, eventually grounding him. He pins James with just one foot on him while strongman flexing for a one count. He gets a two count after a dropkick to the small of Hunter’s back. As Towers goes for the big chokeslam it’s James who slips from the grip via an impressive backflip and lands some knife-edge chops to the chest of the big man Towers. Then a double axe-handle. Hunter leaps from the top rope with a bigger double axe-handle not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR times! He finishes off the flurry on Towers with a super kick, enziguri then German suplex with a bridge for a two and fifteen sixteenths count! He goes for another attack, Austin sees it and snatches him into the eight foot chokeslam, but only gets a short two count for his efforts! They fight outside then Towers shoots James back into the ring, yet James hits the ropes quickly to come flying back out onto Towers with TWO tope’ suicidas. He goes for a third, Austin hurls him into the ring post. Towers pulls his foe back into the ring to execute three continuous side slams. Instead of going for the win though, he overhears Summerz on commentary and decides to approach him for clarification on his comments. All the while the official continues to count him out of the ring. He tries to jump back in at the last minute, but Hunter knocks him back down as the official gets to TEN!

After the match, Towers begins to walk to the back disgusted at the outcome. He changes his mind as he sees Summerz leaving commentary and attacks him with a big boot then pours a beer all over him in celebration before heading to the back finally.

Winner: “Hollywood” Hunter James via Count Out (to advance to the Finals of the Heavyweight Tournament)

Match 4: Jacob Johnson V. “Big Strong” Mims—Battle of two more big men as this one starts with Johnson ducking to the outside to get in the head of Mims. They trade wristlocks, headlocks and counters of each. Mims gets the upper hand with a huge headlock then a BIG shoulder block for early control. Jacob gets up and runs at Mims who grabs him in a fireman’s carry then spins around enough times to make everyone in attendance dizzy. Both men stagger a bit before Mims catches Johnson with an atomic drop and crazy lariat for the solid two count. They both roll outside where it’s Jacob that sends the Big Strong one into the side of the ring ribs first. He drops Mims on the apron with a back suplex and they both roll back inside the ring. Jacob chokes his foe until the official breaks the hold. He continues control even after Mims attempts to make a comeback. A spinebuster garners another two count for JJ. Mims recovers to land a running back elbow splash in the corner, then a clothesline. Skywalker makes his presence known at ringside to Jacob after the earlier confrontation. Mims takes advantage of the distraction to hit the Big Strong Slam for the win!

Winner: Big Strong Mims via pinfall.

After the match, Mims grabs the microphone to call out Lamar Diggs and remind him he did not like nor appreciate the big mans multiple top rope splashes on him last time out. He vowed that when they see each other again it will be a different outcome.

Gemma Jewels and her underling Jesse Morales saunter to the ring. Gemma talks about the battles with Audrey Allen she’s had and how she always ends up on top. This prompts Allen to march to the ring to confront her. A small skirmish erupts. As Audrey is dealing with Jesse, Jewels ducks to the outside. She searches under the ring for…a chain!? She slides into the ring, but Allen sees her and Gemma scampers away. The result is at Legacy Night the two will compete in a Russian Chain Match!

Match 5: (Grudge Match) DJ Smoke V. Stunt Marshall—Finally after months of these two trying to get at one another we get to see them able to do so! They hockey fight early with the action spilling to the outside. Stunt uses a fan’s rubber chicken to SLAP Smoke, an unorthodox maneuver that was anything but FOWL. Back inside it’s DJ who tries the piledriver, yet Marshall counters it into a back body drop. Stunt with the flying cross body block then an airplane spin of Smoke then unceremoniously dumps him straight down. The action goes back to ringside as Smoke sends Stunt into the post, then the buckle. Smoke takes over back in the ring with a lot of great damage to Marshall’s arm and wrist. DJ uses a big slam to get a two count. Stunt counters an armbar with one of his own. He smashes DJ into two different turnbuckle pads, finishing the combo with a clothesline and slam for his first two count of the match. He might have gotten three, but Smoke got his foot on the ropes just in time to break the official’s count. DJ rebounds with a tilt-a-whirl DDT, then jumps to the top rope for his patented frog-splash. At the last second, Stunt moves and drops Smoke with a big boot. Ryan Rembrandt from Strength In Numbers hits the ring to smash Marshall then DJ with his New Realm Championship to end the match as a no contest.

Match ends as a no contestet when Rembrandt hits both competitors with his Championship.

Match 6: (Tournament Final) “Hollywood” Hunter James V. “Suplex Assassin” Alex Kane—Kane wastes no time as he rushes into James. A gutwrench and back suplex later has Hunter really feeling the pain. Alex executes a Bomaye Crab that really stretches his opponent out. Running big splash from Kane. Hunter finds his feet for a double axe handle sending Alex to the apron. Kane eats a super kick from James then rolls back into the ring. Hollywood with the backflip into the deadlift German suplex. He finishes off the attack with a shining wizard for a two and a half count. Hunter to the top for a moonsault that misses. Alex smashes him with a Superman punch and delayed suplex where he hangs on. While still locked in a suplex he sets Hunter on the top rope. Then it’s a superplex from the top! As Kane finishes the maneuver it’s James who catches him in the roll up! One, two…..Kane kicks out just in the nick of time. The Suplex Assassin looks enraged! He quickly locks on the Bomaye Crab a second time, this time really tugging back to apply maximum pressure to the already injured back of Hollywood. After an agonizingly long period of time, James has no choice but to slap the mat!

Winner: (And NEW #1 Contender for the DSW Heavyweight Championship) “Suplex Assassin” Alex Kane

Drew welcomes 40oz C-Dub back from injury. C-Dub says it’s good to be back and looks forward to what the future holds for him in Deep South Wrestling. Deep South Wrestling’s Heavyweight Champion “Your Hoochie Daddy” Najasism parades to the ring. Once in the square circle he grabs the microphone and as he is speaking to the fans, Deon Summerz comes out to greet him. Austin Towers is not far behind however as the big man drops Summerz at ringside with a barrage of strikes. Towers eventually goes to the locker room. As Summerz is helped to the back, Naja informs the crowd that apparently there will be no Open Challenge tonight because there is no one in the locker room who meets the criteria to face him tonight. From the crowd, 40oz C-Dub re-enters the ring and says if Naja wants a fight, he can give him one. Naja ignores him and repeats what he just said. C-Dub repeats what he said. Naja considers it and we have our Main Event! Match 7—Main Event: Najasism (C-Open Challenge for the Deep South Wrestling Heavyweight Championship) V. 40oz C-Dub—Naja rushes into C-Dub who dumps the champ to the outside. As Naja gets back in he is met with a pair of crushing powerslams as C-Dub gets an early two count. Running splash and a snap mare from C-Dub who then attempts a standing moonsault. Naja just moves out of the way at the last moment and lands a retaliatory kick, followed by a rolling double stomp to the back of his competitor. Super kick from the champ gets his first two count of the contest. He pulls C-Dubs shirt over his head to land some body blows, then a running kick to the now seated C-Dub. Najasism grabs C-Dub in a fireman’s carry then dumps him forward with a big slam before leaping to the top rope. Soaring senton misses as C-Dub rolls just out of harms way. C-Dub hits a standing moonsault this time and gets another near fall. C-Dub hits a running splash in the corner along with a handful of punching strikes. Naja catches the challenger with his tornado spear for a two and seven eighths count. C-Dub starts powering up, using a big boot and leg drop to have the reeling. He gets another two count as Naja just gets his shoulder up before the three count. As he recovers, C-Dub looks to draw more energy from the crowd. Instead he walks into a flying knee and a couple strikes from Naja who then administers the Sharpest Shooter submission for the win! After the bell, Najasism continues to wrench back on the hold and C-Dub keeps tapping the mat to get a break. After some time, #1 Contender Alex Kane storms out to help C-Dub as Najasism scatters. Once Kane helps C-Dub to his feet, we find out that the official has reversed the decision on the match, ultimately awarding 40oz C-Dub the disqualification win! Winner: 40oz C-Dub via Disqualification

 Takeaways:

-C-Dub vs Naja was amazing. Naja continues to show the superstar he is by working with any and all comers, while having banger match after banger match with each competitor. C-Dub put on a show and really let everyone know he is ready for action in DSW.

-Tournament Semis and Final were as grand as we thought they could be. Kane vs Hunter was a showcase of two of the best around.

-Still no real blowoff between Smoke and Stunt. As good as the matches are between then, they both are more poised for bigger things when they get away from each other.

-Skywalker and Towers may have lost their tournament Semis, but gained a new fresh rivalry that could light up the summer for superstars and fans alike.

-Whenever Mims and Lamar Diggs do cross paths next, it will be explosive.

Next Show: March 8th at Monday Night Garage.
