Viral Pro Wrestling presented it's 10 year anniversary show, Infection X on Saturday August 8th at the Warren Rd Community Center to a crowd of 600+. Drew Dickinson and Tyreke Robinson are on commentary and Bob Keller is the ring announcer for the evening.
The show opens with a cold video package showcasing moments and matches from Viral's storied 10 year history narrated by former General Manager, booker and on screen talent, James Caleb Kitchens and VPW Owner Joshua Hancock followed by cameo videos from AEW/TNA Star Christopher Daniels, TNA Legend Cowboy James Storm and Viral's own legend and first ever heavyweight champion, Salem Sinner Sixx all sharing about their time with the company and congratulating on 10 years of success.
Bryan “Dub” Axleson better known to the wrestling community as “Wrestleboy” from Kicks 99 Country radio opens the show with VPW Owner Joshua Hancock who hypes up the fans as Hancock thanks the audience for 10 years of support.
Hancock exits and Dub brings out the first guest of the evening, WCW Legend Marcus “Buff” Bagwell! Buff makes his way to the ring to a pop from the crowd as he also thanks the fans for supporting VPW for 10 years, and that places like VPW are the stomping grounds for people like him in their careers. Buff is interrupted by Pretty Rich Wise who enters and tells Buff that he is no longer the stuff and he's just a “Puff Daddy”.
The two get into an altercation with Rich getting physical and pushing down Bagwell. VPW Alumni Chris Mayne storms to the ring to diffuse the situation to no luck as Karl Hager storms the ring! Rich powders out as Hager and Mayne attend to Buff and help him up as they exit. Dub then turns the mic over to Bob Keller for the opening contest.
Match 1 featured the VPW 10 Year Cup Scramble including talents Skrilla the Great, Luke Fury, John Skyler, MZRY, and Josh Magnum. This match was an absolute banger with a lot of high flying action! In the end, Josh Magnum hit a 450 splash only to be distracted for John Skyler to steal the pin via roll up! Winner: John Skyler (Post match Skyler demanded that VPW Owner Joshua Hancock come out and present the 10 year cup to him personally. Hancock’s music hit as he came out to the ring only for Skyler to demand Hancock sing praises to him and hand him the trophy. Hancock looks at Skyler as he sits the trophy on the mat, proceeding the flip Skyler the bird and walks off. The crowd popped for Hancock's gesture as Skyler is clearly enraged as he storms out.)
(Another set of cameos appear of former VPW Ring Announcer and current Savannah Bannanas director, The Young Professor and former VPW Tag Champs The Dawson's, wishing VPW a happy 10 year anniversary.)
Match 2 saw a special attraction match between The Atrocity Krule and TNA Legend, Cowboy James Storm. This match was a great filler, it was very short. The two brawled in and around the ring for a bit and back in, only for official Jarrod Fritz to attempt to separate the two. Storm caught in the moment shoved Fritz causing him to throw the match out the window as the crowd booed. Krule and Storm weren't having any of it and attempted to continue only for security to intervene. Storm hits the last call superkick on one guard as two others charge the ring as Krule grabs them by their throats. Storm tells Krule to hold on, and exits the ring to concessions and returns with two beers, one with a straw for Krule in a comedy moment as he wears a mask. Storm then says screw security as Krule chokeslams them. Storm and Krule then celebrate together in the ring, sharing the beers as the crowd cheers. Storm proceeded to state that if the world was like a pro wrestling crowd it would be better off and if a monster and cowboy can get along then anyone can or else… sorry about your damn luck as storms music plays the two out.
(After the match the cameos continue with former VPW Tag Team Champion and ½ of the Rock N Roll Express, Ricky Morton, Arn Anderson, and VPW Alumni Owen Knight and Blanco Loco.)
Match 3 saw the return of Hollywood Hunter James as he seeked to claim back the outbreak title from Jimmy Wild. The two were evenly matched throughout the bout, seeming to play fair, until Pat Roach, who was in James' corner, tripped him! This led to an altercation between James and Roach as Wild took the advantage to hit a sliced bread into a pin combo for the win! After the match, James was clearly frustrated and got into a heated argument with Roach. Roach walked out on James, seeming to show that he was done with him. James furiously yells for Roach to get the hell out of here, as he exits. (A teaser video plays for VPW’s next event Trick Or Trauma on October 10th, followed by another set of cameos from Southern Honor Owner Gary Lamb, Stoney Cannon & Kenny Jay
(VPW's original commentary team) and former VPW General Manager PJ Synenberg. Lamb put VPW over huge and told Hancock that he would see him soon.
Match 4 pitted four of the best teams in Viral today against each other as The Monster Squad (Billy Brash and Cutshall) faced Better Together (Hadar Horvitz and Ori Gold), The Supastarz (Nikki Eight and Tommy Mars) and The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana) with their father Joe Cazana making a rare appearance in their corner. This match was absolute chaos! All four teams going at it at once! The gents ended up playing dirty, handcuffing Cutshall to the ring post and stomping Brash down! The lights go out and a video plays on the screen, as the crowd screams for the return of former Monster Squad member and first ever VPW Heavyweight Champion, Salem Sinner Sixx! Better Together run at him in the entrance but he lays them out! As the lights come back up, KC charges towards Sixx as he throws him over the top rope! Sixx and AJ engage in fisticuffs asJoe comes up from behind and attempted to hit him with the book but it doesn't phase the original monster. Sixx turns around to confront Joe as AJ clubs him in the back to no effect only for Sixx to lay him out with a sit-out chokebomb! Sixx then knocks Nikki Eight off the apron, and exits to free Cutshall. He headbutts Cutshall in the head, enraging him enough to break free from the cuffs! Cutshall makes it back into the ring as he and Brash hit their finish on Tommy Mars to become the NEW and 3X VPW Tag Team Champions!!! The crowd goes wild! Sixx enters the ring and raises the hands of his former stable mates and celebrates in a reunion fit for the 10th anniversary.
Post match, Dub returns to the ring to introduce the next guest of the evening, former general Manager and booker of Viral Pro Wrestling, James Caleb Kitchens. Kitchens speaks a bit on the mic about his time and memories from Viral, and thanks Joshua Hancock and his wife Dana for all they do for the company. He keeps it short but heartfelt. Kitchens exits and Dub introduces Buff Bagwell once again as he makes his way to the ring for in ring photo ops during intermission. As Buff poses with fans, he is interrupted yet again by Pretty Rich Wise. Wise tells Buff he's got one more as he enters the ring and talks more smack. Chris Mayne’s music hits as he runs out to prevent another attack by Wise. Buff tells Rich he thinks he's slick, well check this out. Buff points to the video screens as the nWo music and video plays! The crowd erupts! Buff introduces Karl Hager as the newest honorary member of the nWo for the night and that he will be in his corner for their match right now! .
5, Pretty Rich Wise vs Karl Hager w/Buff Bagwell- No DQ Match: Special Referee Chris Mayne. This match was absolutely brutal and everything you would expect from a no dq match. Buff Bagwell also did live commentary on the mic making it all the more entertaining. The match featured various weapons including steel chairs, a kendo stick, a women's mannequin with Rich’s sTd nWo parody shirt, and a door with the word Jackass painted on it. The finish came with Rich landing a frankensteiner off the top through the door onto Hager. Official Mayne went for the count only for his arm to magically lock up on him after two as he yelled in pain. Rich got in Mayne’s face and shoved him only for Mayne to take off the referee uniform revealing he is also a member of the nWo! The crowd pops like crazy! Mayne puts his hands on Rich and feeds him to Hager who lands a blockbuster from the corner to pick up the win! Buff enters the ring and celebrates with the viral iteration of the nWo as the trio throw up the Too Sweet and exit.

Match 6 saw Joiya Blake defend the VPW Women's Championship against former champion Savannah Evans and Amanda Kiss. Kiss tried to avoid physical contact and said she would stay at ringside to do commentary but that didn't happen. Blake swept Evans off her feet with a slingblade during the match. Evans obliterated her opponents with double clotheslines and double chokeslams. Kiss and Blake doubled up on Evans at one point but of course wound up fighting over the pin. Kiss flew into Evans with a crossbody while Blake had Evans in a rear naked choke sending all three crashing to the mat. Kiss jumped on Evans' back as Blake hit the knee and speared Evans, pinning Kiss for the win.
(Post match the final set of anniversary cameos air from Brian Pillman Jr aka WWE NXT Superstar Lexis King, Aircia Demia aka WWE ID Prospect Anya Rune and TNA Superstar Suicide, followed by a backstage vignette plays of VPW Owner Joshua Hancock and Drew Hood.) Hancock stated that Hood had been defending the VPW title for almost two years and that was impressive and deserved recognition. He pulls out and unveils the NEW VPW Heavyweight Championship! He then tellsHood if he wins, the new VPW title belt would be his. Hood then laughs and tells Hancock that there has unfortunately been an accident and Darius Lockhart wouldn't be able to make it. So the match is now a three way with the odds now being ever more in the handsome devil's favor.)
7. The main event pitted Drew Hood vs Alexander Lev vs Jon Davis for the VPW Heavyweight Championship. The match took an unexpected turn in the beginning as Lev shockingly decided to side with Hood against Davis, seemingly turning it into a handicap scenario! Davis capped back with a montage of suplexes on the two. The crowd broke out into a "That Dude" chant as Davis hit the F10 on Hood for a near fall, then a pop up powerbomb on Lev! Davis seemed to have the match won as the Devil's Disciples entered the fray. With Davis distracted, Lev nailed him with Ghanarea and Hood planted him with an Impaler DDT for the win! The crowd was visibly pissed!
After the match concluded, Hood laughed as the Disciples entered the ring and unmasked, revealing themselves as NWA Television Champion, MZRY and Amanda Kiss! Hood’s music cuts as the lights go to black and Cry Little Sister plays as a video appears on the screens appearing to show the name of this new faction: The Unholy Union! As the lights come back up, the group stands tall together over Davis to close the show.
