ACTION: ACTION delivered big on their 5th Anniversary “Mystery Show” Over 250 fans were on hand to witness Adam Priest defeat Daniel Makabe for The ACTION championship. After the match Priest announced he has entered the 2023 SCI. Bobby Flaco and Rico Gonzalez both picked up huge wins over Alec Price and AC Mack respectfully. The Squatting Dragons (Erron Wade & Kody Manhorn) defeated Noah Hossman & Carson Dilbeck. Out Of This World (Arik Royal & BK Westbrook) outlasted The Skulk (Adrian Alanis & Liam Grey). Suge D scored a victory over Matt Sells and Damyan Tangra defeated Kevin Ryan. CEO Matt Griffin also announced that over the past 5 years ACTION wrestling has donated over $100,000 for charities.
AWWA: American Warrior Wrestling Alliance will make their Woodstock debut on May 19th with “Revenge”. Several big matches have been announced for this event. A new Heavyweight Champion will be crowned when Trever Aeon locks horns with Martin Oceans. DJ Smoke will defend his International Championship against Thomas Extreme. Whisky Business will face Midnight Premiere in the tag team championship tournament. The SCW (Arizona) Championship will be defended when Joe Garlin faces Guile Castle. Street Business will take on Dark Thor in a mixed tag match. Stromi Renee faces S.O.S. in the “Diamond Diva” tournament. Also scheduled to appear Saraya Saber, Marko Wick, Fly Ni Noreaga, Tamilian Vineesh, Dynamic Dexter, Princess Deathwish, and Malik Del Vonte.
ALTERNATIVE: APW has a New North Georgia Champion, Jacob Ashworth, who defeated Rob Adonis. Although Rob promised this wouldn't be the end of his reign, he was totally disgusted after the 15 minute timer failed to play, but what will happen in this North Georgia Championship situation? Last week at Spring Break Bash Stryknyn retained the Southern States Championship against Pat Roach, now the question is who is next to step up and go for the Championship? Will it be the former champion Stevie Ray Frost, who was on commentary for this match and was very interested in the outcome. APW returns to action this Friday night in Royston at 8:30.
ANARCHY: After months of radio silence, Anarchy has the state talking with their HUGE announcement that the longest running independent wrestling supershow HARDCORE HELL will return in 2023 for its 25TH anniversary. No other details have been provided at the time of this publishing, but I would expect Anarchy to make many more huge announcements in the coming weeks.
BATTLESLAM: Battleslam has posted several videos on their Facebook page from their most recent show. An event that saw Lee Moriaty defeat Shoot Taylor in the main event. CLASSIC CITY: The movement continues in Athens for CCW as they return to the historic 40 Watt on May 13th to present “Dawn of a Dynasty” Owen Knight will battle Duncan Mitchell Avecilla to crown the first ever Classic City Champion. Other announced matches include Terri Yaki facing Rico Gonzalez, Dominic Stuckey goes to war against Joe Black, Najasiam will battle Alex Kane, Nathaniel Vanderbilt & Rose Gold will face Nathan Estrada & Skylar Slice in a mixed tag, and The CREEPS go toe to toe with Dave Stage & Cuatro Cabezas. COASTAL EMPIRE: CEW returns on June 24th in Savannah for “Rush For The Gold'' where several champions will be crowned. As a result of the controversial catastrophic cataclysm at the close of the Championship ladder match, at “Springbreakdown” The Million $ Mullet Zach Mosley & The California Nightmare Ehren Black will settle the score in a hardcore Anything Goes Match. The first ever Tag Team Turmoil Champions will be decided in a tournament featuring Exotic Youth (Cannon & Pepperbottom), Noir (Kingsley & Mr. Wright), Top Team (Lucas & Yaki) and C.J. Shine & Randy Reno. Michael Walker will face Lucky Ali, Ash Bennet battles Crew Lavish. It was also announced this week that the Coastal Chaos Championship will be defended as Karl Hager will defend against the debuting Charlie Anarchy.
CWFG: Championship Wrestling from Georgia returns to Swainsboro on June 10th for “Everything’s A Little Better With Hot Sauce On It” The CWFG Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as Big Andy defends against Dr. David Raines. Also scheduled to appear is Michael Walker, Ryan Phoenix, Kevin Kantrell, Dax Anthony, Brandon Kage, The Toombs County Connection, and The Problem Possee. DEEP SOUTH: Deep South announced this week that they will return to action on May 13th in Franklin Georgia with “Rock and Roll Forever” Two big matches have already been announced as Skrilla The Great will face Kerry Morton and Crystal Rose goes one on one against Deity.
GCW: The Hunter James Championship Celebration headlines Georgia Championship Wrestling's next event on May 27th Buckhead. Also announced Big Bad John will face Big Andy, Sean Nelson will battle Chop Top, Swole squares off with Jerry Nelms, and The Grapplers will face Kamikaze & Kage. Also scheduled to appear are Scoot Mayson, Leatherface, Curtis Coleman, Tyler Graves and the debut of Garrett Sinclair and Maverick.
GEORGIA All STAR: Georgia All Star Wrestling returns to Buchanan Georgia on May 13th. Two huge matches were announced this week as Sean Nelson will battle Terry Lawler in a “Beech Creek Brawl” and Aaron Dallas will face Lamar Phillips in a “Beech Creek Street Fight” Also scheduled to appear is Dany Only.
GIPW: Next on deck for GIPW is “A House Divided” taking place in Warner Robins on Sunday May 21st. Brad Lynch and The Mercenary defeated Jaden Vain and A.J. Black. After the match Vain turned on Black. J-Rod got a victory over Brother Azrael by DQ. Brandon Whatley successfully defended The ProSouth Championship against Eddie Honcho. Sean Nelson was victorious over Sean Sims. Valentine also defeated The Mercenary to open the show. West Georgia Wrestling returns to action on June 10th.
