This go home episode for Uprising was for viewers that have already acquired a taste for the ProSouth Koolaid. A place where 1980s Memphis melds with a mythical world of magic. Talk ruled the day.
Joe Black and Will Huckaby closed the show with an incredible back and forth on the mic, which culminated in their showdown at Uprising becoming an I Quit match and an unexplained appearance by Ace Haven.
Christian Pierce and Ayden Andrews had an exceptional wrestling match in the opener.
The All-Out Championship changed hands again. Rookie Oliver Green became a two time champion in the space of 14 days and defeated champion Rolando Perez and former champion KJ Valentine in a triple threat. I wish I could say the match was good.
Christian Taylor, voted Georgia Most Improved Wrestler of 2025 made his ProSouth debut.
Reaching 800 episodes called for a refresh. The tradition of named episodes is now history. Going forward, regular weekly shows will be numbered episodes of Recharged. Flagship events will continue to carry names as a distinguishing feature. New chyrons have been designed for all of the wrestlers.
Wicked Nemesis and Mathias Darkthorne on commentary, Darkthorne doubling as the ring announcer, Cody Clonts and Lou were the refs. Joseph Void had a rare night off in the role of senior official. Katie Lindsey was the videographer. ProSouth is a more visually pleasing show with Katie on the ringside camera.
Darkthorne introduced the inaugural episode of Recharged.
(1) ProSouth Tag Team Title Match: Christian Pierce defeated "Plan A" Ayden Andrews via DQ in when Christian Garett attacked Pierce at 10:53. True Grit retained the tag team championship. I'm just going to recap the closing minutes. They slugged it out in the middle of the ring. Pierce Hellplexed and cannoballed Andrews in the corner. Andrews blocked Once Bitten and hit a DVD. Pierce kicked out of his one armed cover. Pierce hit Once Bitten but could only muster a back cover and Andrews kicked out. They fought up from their knees. Pedigree attempts both ways with neither man able to convert. A double clothesline left both men down. They were letting the strikes fly again. Pierce won it and was set up for the Pedigree when Garrett hit the ring.
A banger to kick off the refresh. Pierce and Andrews have a special chemistry. They picked up right where they left off in January 2025 with a hard-hitting, creatively laid out match. Made no sense for either one to take a clean L. Stole the show for in-ring.
(2) Christian Garrett defeated Brother Azriel in 6:57. Sure enough, as soon as the reinstatement of the piledriver ban was mentioned on commentary, Az set up to deliver the piledriver. The light went out. Raheem the African Aristocrat addressed Az via an inset video. The lights came on to find Garrett pinning Az. The broadcast team said Garrett hit Az with Pierce's cowbell while the lights were out.
An OK match with a finish that has been done to death. At least Az did not stop what he was doing to stare at the video screen.
Raheem said Az was going to pay for taking three years of Jaku's life. Jaku's mission at ProSouth was to drop bodies and shatter dreams. Az's dream would be shattered. His body would drop. Guaranteed.
I'm a fan of Raheem's promos. He drives home a simple message with maniacal intensity.
(3) Oliver Green defeated Champion Rolando Perez and former All-Out Champion KJ Valentine in a triple threat to regain the All-Out Championship in 8:20. While Valentine and Perez were battling in the corner. Green flew into the frame with the Green Arrow. Valentine and Perez both went down and Green pinned Valentine.
Terrible especially for a title match. Lots of sloppy looking stuff done at half-speed. Looked like Green whiffed his finisher. The repeat of the drop toehold was a bad idea. Green isn't ready for the push he's receiving. His first official match was less than nine months ago and he's not Justin McKenzie.
Perez and Valentine assaulted Green after the match. JACS' got his full intro. Video, music, lighting effects, shamelessly pandering. Perez and Valentine stopped what they were doing to watch. JACS headbutted Perez. JACS did a comedy bit with Valentine and spilled the heels out of the ring. JACS made a Members Only match - JACS & Green vs. Valentine & Perez.
JACS is flamboyant and he's a maverick. He's over with the live audience and for the second straight week, he hogged the spotlight and overshadowed a title change.
Cameron Keast video. Another in series of videos from Cam to Amy Haven and her friends. He couldn't control when the video would air because he was not in control of his actions.
Part I - Expose Amy Haven
Over the last year, Psycho Cam started attacking people he had no intention of hurting because Amy was pulling the strings. Like all of Zombie Dragon's victims, Amy gained special unearthly powers after being attacked by him, in Amy's case, due to be burned by one of Zombie's fireballs almost ten year ago. Keast didn't know exactly what Amy could do, but she was able to control Psycho Cam when his collar light came on.
Part II -- Harley Haven's Plan Was Working
They were miles ahead of Amy. He was the Magnus Carlson of ProSouth. The fact this video aired meant Harley had duped her mother into another match with his freedom at stake. He knew Ace Haven's team was Caeden Ooten and Donnie Primetime. He knew Ayden Andrews was on Amy's team because he put that together last year. He did not know who else was on Amy's side. That was for his friends to figure out and he trusted they would set him free. What Amy needed to be worrying about was the form of his revenge. Would it be League of Terribles Cam, the Tragic Prince or his own side of Psycho Cam?
A big info drop for ProSouth freaks. I did not come away from it thinking the Uprising match would be the blowoff because Keast hinted at another video.
(4) Caeden Ooten (with Harley Haven) defeated Christian Taylor in 7:34. C and Harley toyed with the remnants of Taylor's mind by messing with his straight jacket Taylor took control with a rage-fueled attack. C evaded and fired back. Taylor drove C to the mat with a clothesline for a two count. C powerbombed Taylor and tried for Turn the Screw. Taylor blocked and rockbottomed C for another two count. C hit Turn the Screw for a near fall. They jocked for position on the ropes. Taylor knocked Ooten off and flew. C speared Taylor in midair for the three count.
Speaking of maniacal intensity, Taylor is a case in point. Good match for a first time meeting. I believe they will have better match when if they get a chance to run it back.
The Inauguration of Lose Brantley.
Brantley still looked more like a secret service agent than a president. Brantley said he was going to be the biggest and best loser the fans had ever seen and they were going to take this L together. Brantley started to swear himself in as ProSouth president because he was the only person credible enough for the job. Brantley swore to defend and uphold his legacy. The entrance of former president (still not sure of what) Jon Averson interrupted the decorum. Brantley attempted to head Averson off at the pass. He failed and got laid out by Averson, who said a little birdie told him the voting was rigged. Averson wanted his credentials back. Brantley hooked Averson in the ding ding and tried to toss him through the giant-sized plywood L. Averson dodged and put Brantley through the plywood with a spinebuster.
So bad it was good perverse wrestling entertainment. When a wrestler brings a 4x8 piece of plywood into the ring, the viewers know where the segment is going, not that there's anything wrong with that.
Darkthorne promised a big announcement about the future of ProSouth would be made during next week's show.
Loaded up with gaga. Primetime was bleeding from the mouth and might have gotten a tooth knocked loose. Interesting that TragiCK lost to a member of the team that will be trying to set him free. He's still under Amy's control, right?
Final Words: Joe Black and Will Huckaby. A segment that must be seen to be appreciated. Starts around at the 2:06 mark of this episode.
Amy started to address Huck. Huck cut her off and said this was between him and Joe. She could stand in the corner and listen.
Huck said nobody had waved the Joe Black flag over the last 15 years like William Huckaby. He came to ProSouth against his better judgement because his best friend asked him to and Joe turned against him in favor of Amy. Joe owed him. They argued about how responsible (or not) Huck was for Joe's success as a pro wrestler. Huck said this wasn't about accolades (though Huck was the one who brought that up as an issue), it was about Huck feeling disrespected by a friend.
Joe turned the camera and said he was about to break cardinal rule #1 of the art of a wrestling promo by burying his opponent because what else was he going to do with a dead body? Joe torched Huck. It was he who opened the doors for Huck, not the other way around. Huck was enraged. He went off about the things he had done for Joe. Joe was smiling. Huch said Joe had the audacity to chose that bitch over him. Huck knew Joe was great before "punk ass" Murder One asked him to join the Hierarchy. Joe warned Huck about getting his blood pressure up too high. He addressed a fan in a way that made Huck break.
Joe said he would humor Huck and give him a title match, but he wanted to humiliate Huck and have him gone, so Joe asked Amy to order an I Quit Match. If Huck said I Quit, he was gone and another door was closed. Unlike Huck, Joe said had nothing to lose. Unlike Huck, he had a death wish, he didn't legit give a damn if he lives or dies, that was the next great adventure. Huck said Joe was the scum bubbles at the bottom of the tub and turned his back. Joe swung on Huck from behind. Huck ducked and swung on Joe and missed.
Joe extended his hand. Huck shook it. The light went out. Lights on and Ace Haven was standing on the stage wearing a mask over the broken bones in his face.
This was a phenomenal go home segment. It filled with shoot and semi-shoot comments. What was important was it made me want to see the match. If Joe was not legitimately getting under Huck's skin they had me fooled. Wouldn't you know they'd drag Murder One into it given their shared history? Wouldn't you know Joe would make Huck break?
