Premier All-Star Wrestling returned to the Callaway Livestock Pavilion in Buchanan on Sept 2nd for the “Doug Somer’s Memorial Tag Team Tournament'' to crown the promotion's first ever tag team championship. Some of the absolute best tag teams in the southeast gave it there all in front of the estimated 100 fans in attendance. In the end however it was Donald Jaykes’ Ministries team of The Apostle Stephen Ray Frost and The Apostle Azrael (and their possible financial collusion with the Georgia Athletic Commission) that walked out of Buchanan champions defeating The D.I.K.S. and local favorites Frankie Valentine & A.J. Black in the finals. 

PAID ADVERTISEMENT BY DONALD JAYKES’ WORLDWIDE MINISTRIES 

Jaykes comes out and welcomes everyone to “the house of the lord” and tells the people that he has bad news and good news. The bad news is that since his “king” Sean Nelson has beaten the sinner Frankie Valentine on multiple occasions he gave his king the night off, and all the people in attendance will not be able to worship him in person tonight. He continues with the good news that tonight Donald Jaykes’ Ministries will be leaving Buchanan tag team champions. Jaykes is interrupted by ring announcer (and apparent authority figure) Jason Boyd. Boyd informs Jaykes that his team does not have an entry in the tournament and that last spot was given to The Hierarchy. Jaykes begins to throw a fit in the ring, yelling that Murder 1 gets whatever he wants when he wants, and he is sick of it. 

Murder 1 comes out through the curtain, Jaykes is fuming, and continues to throw his tantrum. Muder gets in the ring, just as it looks like he is about to address Jaykes, Murder grabs Jayes by his suspenders and pushes him into the corner. Jaykes’ screams for help and The Ministry (Brother Azrael & Stevie Ray Frost) rush the ring to help the pastor. After the two take Murder down, Jaykes screams for them to go after his hand. Frost holds Murder down and Azrael bashes a metal handicap sign into Murders wrist repeatedly. Before The Ministry can inflict any more damage Frankie Valentine and A.J. Black rush the ring and The Ministry scampers. Jaykes shouts that Murder 1 had no right to put his hands on him and he got what he deserved. “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand.” He then yanks the mic out of Jason Boyd’s hands and tells everyone that an injustice has been going on for far too long here and he is going backstage to vent his grievances to the Georgia Athletic Commission. 

QUARTER FINALS- EXOTIC YOUTH (ZACH MOSLEY & CORNELIUS PEPPERBOTTOM) VS. DUNCAN AVECILLA & PARKER LEE 

With Aaron Dallas currently unavailable Duncan enlisted Parker Lee to be his tag team partner. I’m not sure if the two have tagged together before but they showed great chemistry. Exotic Youth enraged the fans by telling an old lady that he thought they sent all the livestock away before the show, and then by doing tandem stretches in the ring. The babyfaces take early control and put their athleticism on display. Mosley and Duncan exchange big blows in the ring but EY takes over control and use quick tags and double teams whenever they can on Duncan, controlling the match for several minutes. Mosley puts Duncan in a wrist lock causing Ducan to scream in agony. The crowd wills Ducan to his feet and a miscommunication by EY leads to Duncan making the hot tag to Parker. Parker cleans house and humiliates EY to the crowd's delight. Parker gets a near fall then hits a beautiful code breaker on Mosley. Parker tags Duncan who climbs to the top, but is quickly pulled down by Pepperbottom. The two fight around ringside causing the referee to be distracted. Brycan Cannon runs in, jumps in the ring, and clocks Parker with his paddle. Cannon exits the ring just as the referee turns around and Mosley makes the pin. EXOTIC YOUTH WINS BY PINFALL.

QUARTER FINALS- NAWFSIDE HEROS (JOSE MANUEL & SHOOTA GABE) VS. TOP TEAM (JAY LUCAS & TERRY YAKI) 

A GREAT display of technical wrestling to start between Yaki and Manuel. Very back and forth until Manuel catches Yaki with a series of drop kicks and a hurricanrana to send Yaki bailing to the outside. Each man tags their partners and Lucas and Gabe showcase their mat skills. Several back and forth pin attempts that had the crowd popping. Top Team use some well timed double team maneuvers to attempt to take control but Gabe is able to reverse out of anything Top Team has to offer. Top Team is outside of the ring, Nawfside attempts to run the ropes for a dive, but Manuel is tripped up, taken to the outside, and takes a double right cross from both members of Top Team. Gabe sees this, hesitates, then attempts to run the ropes again for a dive but Top Team quickly return to the ring to end any chance of that. Top Team cut off the ring and take turns chopping Gabe. Gabe finally gets the hot tag and Manuel is all over Top Team. Manuel tags Gabe back in, and climbs to the top rope, he is tripped up by Yaki. Gabe charges Lucas but eats a big boot to the face. Gabe spears Lucas and then Manual delivers a HUGE frog splash off the top rope and goes for the pin. NAWFSIDE HEROS WIN BY PINFALL 

QUARTER FINALS- DUDES IN KIMONOS (KAYJAY IMPALA & FRANKIE FILTO) VS. ALL STAR SPECIAL (HOLD MY BEER HANSON & WILLIAM HUCKABY) WITH JAY 2 STRONG

All Star pays tribute to Jimmy Buffet by using “Margaritaville” as their theme music for the night. Huck insists that Jay work their merch table during the match. Huck lands a couple of hip tosses and a drop kick on Filto putting ASS in early control. Huck whips Filto into the corner and charges with an elbow but misses. Filto unleashes a rapid fire series of chops to Huck that have absolutely no effect. Filto, seeing the error of his ways, tries to apologize to Huck, but Huck has none of it, throws Filto into the corner, and chops his soul straight out of him….multiple times. Hanson tries to pin Filto by putting one foot on top of him and posing, Filto quickly kicks out as Huck looks on visabilly frustrated. Filto whips Hanson into the ropes, Impala knees Hanson in the back and the heels begin to double team and wear down Hanson. Hanson finally makes the hot tag to Huck, who cleans house on the DIKS with a powerslam and a spinebuster. Hanson tags in, slams Filto, then Huck lands a beautiful moonsault from the 2nd rope on Filto but then eats a spear from Impala. Filto tries to hit Hanson with a waffle, but the referee puts a stop to it. In the meantime Impala pulls a loaded arm brace from his tights, clubs Hanson over the back with it and Filto makes the pin. DUDES IN KIMONOS WIN BY PINFALL

 

 

It was announced that due to Murder 1’s injury at the hands of Donald Jaykes’ Ministries that The Hierarchy is unable to compete and the team of Frankie Valentine & A.J. Black will get a bye into the semi finals. 

SEMI FINALS- EXOTIC YOUTH VS. FRANKIE VALENTINE & A.J. BLACK WITH TWEEDY

Cannon and Pepperbottom wrestle match 2 for EY. The crowd chants “Frankie” to start. Pepperbottom infuriates two old ladies sitting in the front row, who stand up and get in his face. EY stalls early, really milking the crowd. Frankie hits a shoulder tackle on Bryce and the crowd pop huge. Cannon pulls off his polo shirt and chokes Frankie, while the ref throws it out, he removes his 2nd shirt and chokes him again. A.J. tries to help out his partner, but everytime the ref’s back is turned EY is there with the double team. Pepperbottom whips Frankie into the corner, but Frankie’s knee goes out and he collapses in the ring. The crowd continues to will Frankie on but EY stays in complete control. Out of desperation and instinct Frankie lands a couple of chops on Cannon but it's short lived. Frankie finally hits a neckbreaker on Cannon and makes the tag to A.J. as Cannon tags Pepperbottom. A.J. cleans house with a series of lariats. The faces hit double atomic drops followed by double pin attempts. FRANKIE VALENTINE & A.J. BLACK WIN BY PINFALL 

SEMI FINALS- NAWFSIDE HEROS VS D.I.K.S. 

DIKS jump the bell on Nawfside, but Nawfside uses teamwork to take control in the beginning. Gabe and Filto battle on the outside and Gabe gets thrown into the post shoulder first. DIKS double team Manuel and stomp him relentlessly into the mat. DIKS use a series of quick tags to keep Manuel isolated in the corner. Finally Manuel is able to roll free and tags in Gabe. Gabe climbs to the top and hits a cross body on Impala, then Gabe quickly returns to his feet and superkicks Filto. Gabe tags Manuel who climbs to the top but Filto pulls his leg out from under him, sending him groin first into the top turnbuckle. DIKS see their moment and capitalize. D.I.K.S. WIN BY PINFALL. 

THE APOSTLE STEPHEN RAY FROST WITH PASTOR DONALD JAYKES VS. JAY 2 STRONG WITH HANSON 

Before the match Hanson and Jay chase Pastor Jaykes around the ring resulting in Hanson stealing the Pastor's tambourine and doing some not so nice gestures with it. Jaykes asks Hanson if he even has a manager's license to be out here. 

The crowd chants “Too Strong” at the opening bell. Jay gives Frost a belly-to-back, then spins around on top of him several times before “bopping” him on the forehead. Jay rolls out of a wrist lock, but right into a power slam from Frost. Jay then responds with a power slam of his own and Frost exits the ring. Jaykes consoles Frost and takes off his jacket to fan him. Frost trips Jay on the apron and then pulls him down between the ring and the skirt and lays in with the punches. Back in the ring Frost takes control and uses every underhanded tactic to keep the advantage. The crowd wills Jay to his feet and hits two big lariets on Frost, then slams him to the mat. Jay climbs to the top and lands a beautiful elbow drop then gets a two count. Jay picks up Frost, but Frost rakes Jay’s eyes. As the referee is checking on Jay, Frost reaches into his tights and pulls out a set of brass knuckles and decks Jay.  THE APOSTLE STEPHEN RAY FROST WINS BY PINFALL. 

TALIAFERRO PROMO 

The lights dim and Taliaferro pays tribute to Bray Wyatt by coming to the ring with a lantern. Taliaferro. He condemns the crowd for believing that Papa Marco and Marco Wick are the same person. He then tells J-Rob that if he wishes to find Papa Marco then he must “follow the buzzards.” 

CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS- FRANKIE VALENTINE & A.J. BLACK WITH TWEEDY VS. D.I.K.S. The final two teams are in the ring for introductions when the Donald Jaykes’ music hits. Jaykes enters the ring and says he is sick and tired of all the injustices happening to him at Premiere All-Star. That he spent the last two hours back and forth on the phone with the Georgia Athletic Commission. He then showed Jason Boyd an email from the commission stating that Donald Jaykes’ Ministries have been added to the tournament for the championship match. 

CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS- FRANKIE VALENTINE & A.J. BLACK WITH TWEEDY VS. D.I.K.S. VS. DONALD JAYKES’ MINISTRIES (THE APOSTLE STEPHEN & THE APOSTLE AZRAEL) WITH PASTOR DONALD JAYKES 

Filto begins against Frankie. Frankie is all over him and Filto quickly tags in Azrael. Frankie and A.J. use quick tags and work Azraels’ arm. Azrael tags in Frost to the same result. A.J. chops Frost, then charges at him but eats a big boot to the face. Frost tags Azrael and the abuse of A.J. begins. Azrael slams A.J. then tags in Frost. Frost gives A.J. a suplex then tags in Impala. Impala gives A.J. a suplex of his own then tags in Azrael. Azrael delivers a big slam to A.J. and tags in Impala. Impala delivers his own slam. Frankies tries to help his nephew but can not. Impala tags in Frost who continues to trend. Flito is tagged in and slams A.J. and then goes for a pin that is broken up by Frost. Filto and Frost exchange words. DJM and DIKIS all enter the ring and begin shouting at each other. Referee Hall quickly restores order. A.J. finally makes the tag to Frankie who unleashes on everyone. The numbers game catches up to Valentine who is in the center of the ring. The four men charge Valentine, but Valentine moves and the four collide. Bodies scatter to the outside except for Frost. Frankie and A.J. dive through the 2nd rope to the outside on top of DIKS and Azrael. Frost reaches in his tights and pulls out the brass knuckles for the second time tonight. He decks A.J. as soon as he returns to the ring and covers him. DONALD JAYKES’ MINISTRIES WIN BY PINFALL TO BECOME THE 1ST PREMIER ALL-STAR TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS.

The crowd is outraged as the Pastor shakes his tambourine and celebrates with his team. Valentine gets on the microphone and calls Jaykes a hypocrite but before he can finish his rant the microphone cuts out and the Ministry gloat that was higher power was involved in the mic malfunctioning and walk to the back leaving the fans stunned. 

The referees for the event were Grandpa and Butterbean. Jason Boyd was the ring announcer and although not officially announced seems to be the new “person in power”. Premier All Star returns to action on September 16th for “Pie Fest” on the square of Buchanan. The promotion will be holding matches from 11am to 3pm at the festival headlined by Frankie Valentine VS. The Apostle Stephen Ray Frost. Valentine stated after the show that a win would make him and A.J. the number one contenders for the tag titles, but if he wins he will give the title shot to The Hierarchy as he has other matters to attend to at Premier All-Star. The following Saturday September 23rd Premier will be back at the Callaway Livestock Pavilion where Donald Jaykes’ Ministries Championship Celebration will take place and the show will be headlined by Sean Nelson with Pastor Jaykes facing Frankie Valentine with Tweedy in a “brass knuckles on a pole” match.
