Match 1: Austin Thorne vs AJ Black (2 out of 3 falls)—Thorne and Black are no strangers to each other as each have been in the path of the other multiple times in the recent past. Intense lockups to start, Thorne finally with the advantage thanks to a hair pull of Black. Austin with the wristlock, AJ counters with good, clean chain wrestling as both competitors find their feet to square off once again. Headlock by Thorne, Black throws him into the ropes that leads to a hip toss, clothesline in the corner and early 1 count for AJ. He catches the front kick attempt from Austin, spins around and rolls him up for the first fall! Between falls, Thorne with the heavy attack on Black, really putting the boots to AJ. Bell rings, Austin with the bone crushing forearm and a 1 count on AJ. Black’s comeback is cut short after another hair pull from Austin. Black back up with a running flatliner for a 2 count. Thorne regains control in the corner, then he sends AJ frontwards into the opposing turnbuckle with a thundering crash! Thorne gets a little distracted by the fans allowing Black to drop him with a slam then climb to the top for the frog splash and second fall! AJ Black wins the match 2-0. After the bell, Scott Mason comes rumbling to ringside to beatdown Black! AJ tries to get the upper hand then gets left laying.
Winner—AJ Black (2 falls to none)
Match 2: Xander Seabolt vs Frankie Valentine (w/ Tweety)—We start with a collar and elbow tie-up, Xander having the power edge while Frankie having the quickness to thwart early strikes and fire back with knife-edge chops of his own. Seabolt decides to take the low road with a choke of the veteran Valentine before grounding his foe with a rear chin lock. Frankie fights back then catches a jarring back elbow from Xander sending his thudding to the mat. Seabolt goes for a trio of crushing elbow drops, and Valentine makes sure he misses them all. Frankie delivers a crossbody for a 2 count. Big slam by Seabolt that almost handed him the victory had Valentine not grabbed the rope on the near 3 count. Frankie runs to the corner, chased by Seabolt. Just as Xander is on him, Valentine with the twisting rollup for the win!
Winner—Frankie Valentine (w/ Tweety)
Match 3: Lethal Gainz (Lamar Phillips, Chris Gainz, Ryan Marx) vs Tyson Maddox, The Wonderboys (Aaron & Ethan Dallas) (Georgia 6-Man Tag Team Championships)—Tyson Maddox and Chris Gainz (after Lamar tags out before any contact with Tyson was made as he declared: “You get him. I took care of him last time.” Maddox, being the equal opportunity enforcer he is, happily obliged to dole out a hip toss a charging Gainz. Gainz pumps himself up and says NOW he is ready for Maddox. They go for a lock up and it’s Gainz with the go-behind hold. Tyson with his trademark grin then he reverses and picks up Chris for a face-first slam into the canvas. Aaron Dallas tags into the contest and immediately goes for the pin. A quick 2 count as Gainz realized just in time to kick out. Arm bar from Aaron, tags in brother Ethan. Chris finds his way to Phillips. Size match up in favor of Phillips, speed advantage to Ethan. Things escalate quickly as Ethan goes for punches in the corner of Phillips. Marx tags himself in as he and Phillips execute a top rope powerbomb heart attack on the younger Dallas brother. Ethan gets loose then runs right into a snap spinning powerslam for a 2 count. Gainz back in, Ethan reverses his attacks with a spinning, tilt-a-whirl DDT on Gainz! Each turtle race to the fresh tag. Ethan tags Aaron, Chris tags Lamar. Marx determines he does not need a tag and joins the fray anyways. A-Aron drops both for the efforts. Phillips performs a devastating powerbomb on Aaron out of the corner. Ryan using his devilish tactics to keep control of Aaron. Lamar back in. He sets up the elder Dallas brother for a super-plex that leaves both participants in a world of hurt. Hot tags to Gainz and Maddox. Maddox with a series of clotheslines, then a tilting running powerslam. Running basketball-esque splash in the corner by Tyson accompanied by a double back suplex on Gainz and Phillips! Marx enters again to a running strike on Maddox, then Phillips takes a shot at Maddox and finally Gainz. They dogpile stack on top of Maddox for the 1-2-3.
Winners: (and NEW Georgia 6-Man Tag Team Champions) Lethal Gainz (Ryan Marx, Lamar Phillips & Chris Gainz)
Jason Boyd in the ring. He introduces the NWA Champion Mims to a big ovation. As Jason welcomes Mims and goes to let the big man introduce himself to the crowd, they are interrupted by Pro Wrestling’s Pastor Donald Jaykes. Jaykes has some words for the crowd of “sinners”, Boyd and then NWA champ Mims. Then he brings out his champion steed Pat Roach, who Jaykes says is just the man to take down Mims while removing that title from his waist. Roach with some prophetic words of how he wants to take Mims’ title so it can go around the waist of a more worthy competitor. As Mims gets the mic to rebuttal we hear another superstar’s music: Sean Nelson. Nelson says he would like a shot at the NWA championship as well, just shortly after he takes care of Roach. As things get heated it is Boyd who speaks up to say that if the champ is up for it, he can take on the winner of Roach and Nelson on September 6 th at the Doug Sommers Memorial Tag Team Event! Mims get the mic, looks around to make sure nobody else wants to interrupt…then says he’s more than willing to take on either superstar. All but Mims and Jason leave the ring and Mims addresses the crowd for their support.
Match 4: Pat Roach (w/ Pastor Donald Jaykes) vs Sean Nelson—Earlier in the week I said if you are an old school wrestling fan who enjoys two massive humans pummeling each other all over the ring then this match is for you. It very much lived up to that exact billing! They skip a tie up in favor trading cinderblock fists, each packing more punch than the last. Nelson catches Roach in the Thesz press accompanied by a flurry of knuckles to Pat’s dome. They scrap and claw on the outside of the ring. Back in the ring it’s Pat’s big boot to Nelson’s face. Roach grounds Sean with an abdominal stretch he takes all the way to the canvas. Transitions that into a body scissors. Nelson feels the energy of the crowd to break from the menacing hold. A swinging neck breaker, suplex, hip toss and drop kick from Nelson has Pat reeling. Roach rolls to the outside, Nelson goes the the running attack but stops short as Roach pulls Jaykes in the path. Sucker punch by Roach for a 2 count. Sean back to his feet with a plethora of clotheslines for Roach then the Olympic slam for a 2 count of his own. Pat to the top rope, gets caught and flung down by Nelson. Roach with a belly to belly suplex for another 2 count as Jaykes puts his champions foot on the bottom rope before pointing it out to the official. Hard lariat by Roach after Jaykes jumped to the apron to preach to Nelson gives Pat the victory.
Winner—Pat Roach (w/ Donald Jaykes)
Match 5: Country Gentleman (AJ & KC Cazana) vs Dark City Violence Connection (Murder One, Joe Black—c) (Premier Tag Team Championships)—Country Gentlemen to the ring to mixed cheers and jeers. The NWA tag specialists have an impressive resume and the cheers seem to be more from new fans to Premier whereas the core Premier fans jeer because they do not want to see “outsiders” win “their” titles. Jason Boyd with the mic and a troubled look on his face. He announces that DCVC is not in attendance tonight so he just may have to award the titles to the Gentlemen. Before he can officially do so, familiar music hits and we see Xander Seabolt and Austin Thorne storm to the ring. They say nobody should be titles “awarded” to them and that if AJ and KC want to “earn” them, they can go through them. AJ and KC say they are always down for a fight while asking how the night has went so far for Thorne and Seabolt (they both lost singles matches). Seabolt says that does not matter (they lost singles matches). Boyd asks the Gentlemen if they are good with the challenge, both teams oblige.
Match 5 (Updated): Country Gentlemen (AJ & KC Cazana) vs Xander Seabolt & Austin Thorne (Premier Tag Team Championships)—A lot of banter back and forth from both teams. Gentlemen keep asking what a few fans were asking as well, “has the bell rang?” They ask a third time then roll out of the ring to go ring it themselves! Then they storm into the ring sending Seabolt and Thorne scampering to the outside. AJ and Xander to start the contest. Big lockup, AJ powers Xander down with a big throw and shoulder tackle. Both make a tag. In steps KC and Austin who grabs KC in a textbook headlock. KC counters into a hip toss and Thorne is sent flying. The Gentlemen accomplish a double flapjack on Thorne as he smashes into the canvas face first. Giant leg drop from KC who tags AJ. The big man lands an elbow from the second rope for a 2 count. KC back into the ring, Seabolt with the sneak attack while Thorne goes for the gouging of the eyes. KC battles back and drops Austin in the corner. AJ tags in to catch a knee from Seabolt, who tags in afterwards. Thorne and Seabolt with some underhanded tactics to great effect. AJ with the tag to KC who catches them and crunches the heels into each other! Super intense clothesline in the corner by KC into a spinning snap power slam for a 2 count. The Gentlemen perform a side Russian leg sweep combined with a back elbow smash and another 2 count. Xander send AJ into the ring post. Thorne with the Gentlemen’s branding iron. KC grabs it from Thorne. Official grabs it from him. Seabolt hits KC with one of the title belts and Austin covers for the 1-2-3! New Tag Champions! Layers of Boos rain down from the crowd as the heels celebrate while AJ and KC plead their case to the official. Winners: (and NEW Premier Tag Team Champions) Austin Thorne & Xander Seabolt
Match 6: Scott Mayson vs Desilva—Mayson was brawling, throwing strikes and knees at Desilva from the get go. Mayson with the massive power slam, Desilva with the Olympic slam for a 2 count. Mayson back on the relentless attack like his earlier melee with AJ Black, only this time Desilva was his target. In the end, Desilva got caught with a Lariat from Mayson, giving him the victory. After the bell, it’s AJ Black rushing down to continue the fight with Mason from just after his win in the opening contest! They brawl all over the arena, into the parking lot then around the side of the building out of sight of the roaring crowd!
Winner—Scott Mayson via pinfall
Match 7: Main Event: Stevie Ray Frost (c) vs Alexander Lev (Premier Heavyweight Championship)—Lev gets the advantage before the bell. He knows it’s no fluke Frost has been champion for almost a year and Lev will need every extra edge he can find. They fight outside through the bleachers and crowd. Mason the official convinces them to continue it in the ring. Once both are back inside, the bell rings and this championship contest is officially underway! Alexander gets sent into the ropes, ducks a clothesline from Frost then delivers an incredible STO to Frost for a 2 count. Frost gains control as action spills to ringside again. Back in the ring it’s Frost with the delayed hanging chokeslam on Lev, 2 count. Blistering chops from Frost for another 2 count. Back elbow, more chops and chokes from the champ to keep Alexander off his feet. Stevie uses a rear chin lock for more control. The crowd gets behind Lev who powers up with a running forearm, countered by a swinging, back suplex power bomb. Frost to the top rope, met by Lev with a running kick, knocking him to the floor. The Messiah with a Tope Suicida to the outside on Frost. Alexander executing the discus lariat for a 2 count, then a shining wizard knee strike for a super close near fall. Stevie still had more in the tank as he countered with a power bomb for 2.6 count. Both men to their knees, exchanging chops and punches. Now both on their feet exchanging lethal kicks after lethal kicks! The Messiah performs a picture perfect standing flip sliced break #2 (Destino!) and goes for the pin…1…2….then AJ Black and Scott Mayson are seen still fighting from the back as they end up in the ring breaking up the action and the official calls for the bell. Once the brawl was broken up and both sides were separated it was determined that these four will be in a tag team match on August 2 nd in a West Georgia Street Fight! Match was ruled a No Contest due to the brawl from the back spilling into the active match.

Takeaways:
-The overall talent on a Premier show is incredible.
-Pat Roach is a legend and can still fully go in the ring. Jaykes is one of the best managers in the game.
-Having two heels that lost (respectfully) earlier in the night step in to challenge such a high level team as the Country Gentlemen for the titles was bold, yet paid off big time with a thrilling match. Now it sets up so much for the future with DCVC, CG’s & the champs
-Frost and Lev are worth the hype, especially how they deliver live in person. If these two are ever opposite one another in a ring, go see it.
-Watch out for Lethal Gainz. This three-piece is not only highly good, they are dangerous because of the levels they will go through to get the win. Plus, now they have more motivation to do what it takes. -Tyson Maddox is a beast. He is oh so close to being fully back from his terrible injury. When this freight train is full steam ahead, how long til he grabs gold again?
-The Wonderboyz are so much fun to watch. Two young brothers that just get how to entertain and have really good in-ring work. Definite tag title contenders anywhere they show up and should be the same equal threats in the singles ranks as well.
-Premier had 4 NWA talents in the building. Lev was in the Main Event for the heavyweight title. Country Gentlemen were going for the Premier Tag Titles. Mims got called out by Sean Nelson AND Pat Roach. Not many shows have 4 NWA superstars highly showcased on a regular basis.
